Systems, and among them social systems, and among them cities, can exhibit counter-intuitive behaviours, which make it not always easy to design effective policies. But even allowing for the fact that cities are systems, it’s easy to mistake one’s desires for reality: “good” policies don’t necessarily produce good outcomes. I sistemi, e tra essi i sistemi sociali e tra essi la città, possono esibire comportamenti contro-intuitivi, il che rende non sempre semplice attivare politiche efficaci. Ma anche se si tiene conto del fatto che le città sono sistemi è facile scambiare i propri desideri per realtà: politiche “buone” non producono necessariamente buoni risultati.
