KAKI KING WILL DEBUT HER NEW ALBUM “MODERN YESTERDAYS” AT THE FERST CENTER FOR THE ARTS, WHICH GEORGIA TECH ARTS WILL STREAM VIA FACEBOOK LIVE ON OCTOBER 24, 2020.

eorgia Tech Arts has reimagined its fall 2020 events to provide free online and in-person opportunities! Starting September 30th, world-renowned Italian design studio and production company fuse* will bring its popular installation AMYGDALA to Georgia Tech for five weeks. With a focus on emerging digital technologies, the studio’s research has resulted in the production of large-scale installations and live-media performances that promote audience engagement. This stunning outdoor audiovisual display pulls data from social media in real time, reflecting the collective emotional state of the internet. Arranged on the Arts Plaza in front of the Ferst Center, AMYGDALA will be there for you to experience from September 30 through November 3, 2020. No tickets or reservations are required. The first music event of the series will feature internationally acclaimed guitarist

and composer Kaki King, who’s been hailed by Rolling Stone as “a genre unto herself.” She will debut her new album “Modern Yesterdays” at the Ferst Center for the Arts, which Georgia Tech Arts will stream via Facebook Live on October 24, 2020. Her theatrical/musical work, DATA NOT FOUND, which explores issues such as artificial intelligence and “big data,” will be performed in person at the Ferst Center for the Arts February 12-14, 2021. Georgia Tech Arts weaves art into the learning and research happening across the Institute through a blend of professional performances, exhibitions, installations, residencies, and support for student and faculty ideas.
