PAUL HOLLYFELD - 4
This Double IPA is dark amber, slightly hazy, with a thick tan head. Notes of toffee and caramel on the nose and the palate, this local DIPA is slightly sweet on the palate. This has a medium body and finishes with a nice hop bitterness and a hint of pineapple. This is a very enjoyable DIPA, perfect for the season with a 9% ABV to warm you up.
KONA HANALEI ISLAND IPA
PAUL HOLLYFELD - 4.25
This pours a clear yellow with a thin, quickly dissipating head. There are tropical and citrus notes on the nose. This has a light to medium body with passion fruit, orange and mango flavors that dominate the palate. It has a light bitterness on the finish. Well-balanced and easy drinking, I’ll be having another one again soon.

A thick off-white head crowns this brown IPA and evaporates very slowly. A pleasant balance of malt and hops fill the nose. The flavor balance remains with the first taste, but quickly gives way to a very strong hop flavor that continues during a very long finish. This local craft beer needs to be in the refrigerator of everyone who enjoys hoppy beers. Pair it with spicy Mexican food or barbecued pork ribs
This is a hazy, amber-colored beer with an ABV of 9% - and it's local! I like the smoky hops flavor and it has a little earthy tone to it. Another plus is that it comes in a pint can. I have had a few Myriad offerings in the past; they always produce solid beers. Now I will have to go get this from the tap. I hope we get to review more from Myriad beers.

A thin white head rests on this IPA and takes a moment to evaporate. The scent of passion fruit, orange and guava controls the nose. A burst of carbonation hits the tongue with the initial tasting, followed by hops. This beer could see a rise in popularity during the summer. The slightly lower alcohol content makes it a good option for a session beer. Pair it with seafood, tacos, pizza or pasta.
This is a light, hazy amber beer with decent carbonation. This is very easy to drink. I'm a fan of the other Kona beers and this one does not disappoint. I enjoy the sweet hops which are not overbearing as often is the case with IPAs. This brings out the tropical flavors like a little orange and passion fruit.

STONE HAZY IPA
PAUL HOLLYFELD - 3
Pours a hazy orange yellow hue with a thin white head. Citrus notes on the nose, followed on the palate by tropical notes of pineapple and mango. It is lighter-bodied than many IPAs and finishes with a grapefruit peel bitterness.

A thick white head forms on this cloudy IPA and never totally disappears. A good amount of hops dominates the scent profile. The hop presence continues with the first sip of the beer and continues in the long finish, along with notes of citrus. People who enjoy hoppy beers need to try this one. Pair it with a variety of foods like spicy Indian curry dishes, Mexican food or any number of hot Asian cuisines.
JABEZ MARTINEZ - 3
This is a cloudy, straw-colored beer with a 6.7% ABV - which is the best thing I can say. I had high expectations since I'm a Stone fan - and it is a decent IPA with pretty good hops - but it has an aftertaste that I can’t describe. Maybe it's just me and the other reviewers didn't have any issues; however, I'm going to stick with the other offerings from Stone.
