Success: Defined
Wake up at 6am, drink water, exercise for 7 – 10 minutes, shower and groom, read for 30 minutes, go to work. It really helps in making sure I stay fit and finish at least a book every month. 3.Leverage Technology and other tools
S
uccess means different things to different people. For some it means more money, others more free time, others academic achievement and while touring the world would be a dream life for some people. No matter what success means to you, there are common principles which when followed they make it more likely to achieve your desires. 1.Set goals and strategies to achieve
them
The first step to achieving what you want is, knowing what you want. Setting a goal is like setting a destination, and a strategy is a map that will take you there. Setting goals keep you focused and minimize distractions. Your goals have to be measurable over a certain period of time, which means that there should be a way
to measure progress regularly, to see how you are doing towards your goal. This will tell you whether your strategies are working or not, or whether they need to be improved or changed altogether. 2.Establish Routines Success is defined by what we do on daily basis. Routines are a good way to make sure you spend each day doing the things that matter, instead of letting the events of each day sway you. Have a daily general timetable from morning to evening, have a weekly timetable for things you do once a week, a monthly, quarterly and yearly timetables. Include a routine to make sure the important stuff gets done, especially when they are difficult and/or unpleasant. And when they are not done you know why. A routine also helps in time management and avoiding deadline crises. My typical morning looks like this:
Technology has advanced rapidly in the past few years, and depending on how you use it, it may add to your burden or make life easier. Different technologies such as mobile phone apps, the Internet and social media may help to improve life efficiency. They may be used to manage time and prioritize tasks, save and manage money, exercise, develop new habits and even create an extra income. The Internet is a useful tool to get educated/ informed about almost anything. Use these positively in your journey to success. 4.Enrich your mind, and soul too Just as the body needs food to function and grow, so do the mind and the soul. A healthy mind can conceive ideas that may lead to innovation, sees and take up opportunities quickly and is not afraid to tackle problems when they arise. The mind may be enriched by reading books and articles in different fields, having stimulating conversations, complex puzzles and games, listening to/watching motivation speeches and biographies, and much more. Different people enrich their minds differently. Experiment and choose what works for you. Keep your brain/mind active at all times. Pursue spirituality and religion too (if you are a theist). For many people religion set a basis for life values, moral conduct and a purpose in life.

HOW TO START A BUSINESS WITH ZERO MONEY AT HAND
Y
ou’re excited to start a business. Maybe you have an idea, or you’re just fascinated with the idea of launching and growing your own enterprise. You’re willing to take some risks, like leaving your current job or going without personal revenue for a while. But there’s one logistical hurdle stopping you: You don’t have much money.
You have three options here:
1. Reduce your needs
On the surface, this seems like a major problem, but a lack of personal capital shouldn’t stop you from pursuing your dreams. In fact, it’s entirely possible to start and grow a business with almost no personal financial investment whatsoever -- if you know what you’re doing.
Your first option is to change your business model to demand fewer needs as listed above. For example, if you were planning on starting a company of personal trainers, you could reduce your “employee” expenses by being the sole employee at the start. Unless you need office space, you can work from home. You can even do your homework to find cheaper sources of supplies, or cut out entire product lines that are too expensive to produce at the outset. There are a few expenses that you won’t be able to avoid, however. Licensing and legal fees will set you back even if you cut back on everything else.
Why a business needs money
2. Bootstrap
First, let’s take a look at why a business needs money in the first place. There’s no uniform “start-up” fee for building a business, so different businesses will have different needs. It’s important to first estimate how much you need before you start finding alternative methods to fund your company.
Consider the following uses:
©© Licenses and permits. These are special paperwork and registry to operate. ©© Supplies. Are you buying raw materials? Do you need computers and/or other devices? ©© Equipment. Do you need specialized machinery or software? ©© Office space. This is a huge expense, and you can’t neglect things like Internet and utilities costs. ©© Associations, subscriptions, memberships. What publications and affiliations will you subscribe to every month? ©© Operating expenses. Dig into the nooks and crannies here, and don’t forget about marketing. ©© Legal fees. Are you consulting a lawyer throughout your businessdevelopment process? ©© Employees and contractors. If you can’t do it alone, you’ll need people on your payroll. With that said, you have two main paths of starting a business with less money: lowering your costs or increasing your available capital from outside sources.
8
AweSome SabaSaba
June 2016
Your second option invokes the idea of a “warm-up” period for your business. Instead of going straight into full-fledged business mode, you’ll start with just the basics. You might launch a blog and one niche service, reducing your scope, your audience and your profit, in order to get a head start. If you can start as a selfemployed individual, you’ll avoid some of the biggest initial costs (and enjoy a simpler tax situation, too). Once you start realizing some revenue, you can invest in yourself, and build the business you imagined piece by piece, rather than all at once.
d). Crowd funding - It’s popular for a reason: with a good idea and enough work, you can attract funding for anything. e). Government grants and loans - The Small Business Administration (and a number of state and local government agencies) exist solely to help small businesses grow. Many offer loans and grants to help you get started. For example, in Tanzania, the government under the new 5th President Dr. John P. Magufuli, has offered TZS 50m ($ 25,000) to every village through out the country. You can see on how you can take advantage of that. f). Bank loans- You can always open a line of credit with the bank if your credit is in good standing. Also there are so many micro financing companies and organization supporting start-ups and you can also take advantage of that. With one or more of these three options, you should be able to reduce your personal financial investment to almost nothing. You may have to make some other sacrifices, such as starting small, accommodating partners or taking on debt, but if you believe in your business idea, none of these losses should stand in your way. Capital is a major hurdle to overcome, but make no mistake -- it can be overcomed.
3. Outsource
Your third option is all about getting funding from outside sources. There are dozens of potential ways to raise capital -- even if you don’t have much yourself. Here are just a few potential sources for you: a). Friends and family -Don’t rule out the possibility of getting help from friends and family, even if you have to piece the capital together from multiple sources. b). Angel investors - Angel investors are wealthy individuals who back business ideas early in their generation. They typically invest in exchange for partial ownership of the company, which is a sacrifice worth considering. c). Venture capitalists - Venture capitalists are like angel investors, but are typically partnerships or organisations and tend to scout businesses that are already in existence.

PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS TALK, BUT YOUR OPINION IS WHAT MATTERS. By Elly David
G
reetings to all my readers out there, l hold faith that you are well. Most importantly, l thank our Almighty God who has kept us alive and safe up to this day. The world we live in today has so much to offer, with its astounding beauty; unfortunately there are barriers that keep us from enjoying all it has to offer. It can at times be discouraging when people have a negative input in our lives. It is important that you understand your value in this world, and always stay true to yourself. Continue to better yourself and if you come across an opportunity to be given council from someone most encouraging, be smart; they have potential to guide you into the right direction. There are people that have been broken by words that were said against them and there are those who stepped on them and moved on to greatness. Know that words can build you and words can break you, that is why you have to be careful who you listen to. Not everyone deserves your attention. Love yourself enough to avoid people who have a negative effect on your life, but respect them enough to be kind and humble. At the end of the day, you are a big percentage of the words you have chosen to listen to. Always stay true to yourself. Put God first in everything you do and you will find happiness and motivation to keep you going each and every day.

PURPOSE
“
Purpose: the reason for which something exists.” Why do you exist? Defining your purpose will be one of the most important things you ever do. You won’t achieve significance by going aimlessly through life, or by letting people drag you in directions you should not go. You must make some definite choices, and move intentionally in the direction of those choices. Zig Ziglar said, “You cannot make it as a wandering generality. You must become a meaningful specific.” Knowing your purpose stops you from wasting time going in the wrong direction. That is why Billy Sunday warned us, “More men fail through lack of purpose than lack of talent.” Your purpose flows out of your priorities. So, defining your priorities will give major clues to what your purpose really is. Your priorities point to your purpose. The “yes” burning inside you informs you of your purpose. For example, because freedom was a top priority for him, William Wallace became a warrior and a leader (at a time when his country was under oppressive enemy rule). What are your priorities? What few important things do you want to devote your life to? Energy well-directed is crucial to your success. Knowing your purpose keeps you focused on where you should spend your limited energy and time. When top level soccer players run on to the field, they are clear on their purpose: strikers must score goals; defenders must stop goals being scored. The strikers don’t wonder whether they should be goal-keeping for a while, or perhaps clean the changing room. No, they are there to score goals.

Too many people in the workplace are unclear on their purpose. Inside many organizations, people in key positions aren’t completely sure of what is required of them, and what standard they should work to. You can’t have a high jump contest without a crossbar; you can’t work without a clear purpose and measurable standards. That is why people often don’t like appraisal meetings – they don’t really know what they are being measured on. If you need to, ask someone what your purpose is at work, and what standard you must achieve (and do it as soon as possible). To help you define your life purpose, carefully consider the following questions. Take your time over them, and answer each question from your heart. ©© What are you naturally good at? ©© What do you enjoy doing, that people often praise you for? ©© What have you done well in the past? ©© What have you done that gave you life (energized you)? ©© What do you find easy to teach others? ©© What type of work would you be happy to do, even if you didn’t get paid? ©© What have been the top five experiences in your life? ©© What four words would best describe your personality? ©© What is the worst type of work? ©© What is your purpose not? (What have you tried, but found little or no success doing?) Now, the big question: What is your life purpose?
Keep working to define your life purpose until you can record it in one concise sentence that strikes a chord in your heart. As an example, my purpose is: “Help other people achieve their potential, through teaching important life topics that fall within my areas of passion.” Once you have clarified your purpose, focus your time and energy on it. “Whatever you do, get all the way in. And if you can’t get all the way in, get all the way out.” - Zig Ziglar. Is there anything you should get all the way out of? If you know your purpose, are you all the way in? You should determine your real purpose, and release yourself from everything else. Live your dream, not someone else’s. Be you. Let others be them.

Murphy’s Law On Success By Rogers
W
hen I was at the University of Dar es Salaam I once heard an audio by Jerry Clark explaining something called Murphy’s Law. He stated that the law says “ IF SOMETHING CAN GO WRONG, IT WILL GO WRONG AND POSSIBLY AT THE WORST TIME”.
before it gets better.
Try to imagine the situations below.
Before Shah Rukh Khan became a global star he had to lose his parents, live on the train station and be homeless.
It is the middle of the month that the landlord comes to you for his rent and at the same time your mother is seriously sick. There is a highly demanding deadline at office then you lose your laptop and mobile phone due to theft before hearing that your young sister passed away. You are running a business, the creditors are calling at the time you have no cash at bank, your customers are not planning to pay you anytime soon and then you are informed that there is fire at your office building or shop. The examples are many, but the Law is made up by nature. When you are in pursuit of something in life, the nature will test you to the limit and see if it is worth it to award you with success. There is a quote that says “If it was easy everyone would do it”. This quote is true and will always be. The people we glorify, quote, embrace and talk about passed through those moments, endured the pain and persisted in their pursuit. So in anything you do or plan to do just remember that it will get worse

Before Mandela became a hero he had to go to jail for 27 good years. Before Cristiano Ronaldo became the best he had to lose his father, stay away from his family and live in deep poverty.
Before Diamond Platinumz (Nasib Abdul) became a talking point of Tanzania he had to be rejected by his father, sell mitumba, perform in shows where no body was watching and sometime sleeping with an empty stomach. So it is okay to fantasize about the great future and how successful you will be but get ready mentally, physically and emotionally to pass through the worst. If your dream is worth the effort then may the Murphy’s Law be with you.

traight talk, there are two undeniable facts with life 1.You will die 2.After your death, you will either live in other people’s lives or die forever
Recently I had another eye opener situation, I attended a funeral service, As I was heading for the church service a couple of thoughts were riding along in my mind. Why is it that when we go to sleep we assure ourselves of seeing the next sun rise? Why do we close our encounters with people with hopes of seeing each other again? What makes us plan things for later days? Have hopes of buying that awesome car, plan for that life time trip with your wife/husband, etc. Just like most funerals, at this particular church service, a family representative was called upon to read out the obituary. Again as it was being read out, I couldn’t help but question, why does this particular obituary sound the same as all the others I have heard before? If I die today, what will I leave behind? How will I be remembered? And many other relating thoughts went on and on. With these questions, with some these might be questions we consciously think of them on a daily basis, to some we think of them only in our subconscious mind and to some we ignore them and don’t want to think about them, but all in all, that’s life, we all have differing perspectives and answers to these questions.

From all of this this is what I took home two lessons: Firstly, at a completely uncertain time my and your life will come to a stop, the best thing you can do is live each day as it were your last, put smiles on the people around you, love like you have never before, say sorry for the mistakes you have done, start working on the business idea you have always had. Don’t hope for a better tomorrow, today is the best day of your life, give it your best. Steve jobs would always look up in the mirror each morning and ask himself “if today was the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do? Whenever the answer has been NO for too many days in a row, I know I had to change something. Remembering I will be dead soon is the most important tool I have encountered to help me make the big choices in life
Secondly, how will people know you stepped into this world?
Leave a legacy. In this life it’s so easy to be forgotten. You can’t help but remember Michael Jackson, Myles Munroe, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and so many others. Why is that? These guys lived a life with purpose; they touched the human race in various impactful ways. Almost everyone can get a job, get married, and have kids but what will set your life apart? What about you would you want to be alive in people after you are gone? For your information, life has a way of making people easily forget you after you are gone. “If you live each day as if it were your last, someday you will most certainly be right”

DOUBLE YOUR SALES IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR Just imagine for a moment. How will your business look like if you double your sales today? How will your profit/Bonus figure look like? How will your partners, investors and employees feel? And how will you feel? Before we share these 6 practical actions that can help you double your sales take a deep breath, relax and let review the current situation of your business or of your sales career. Are you happy with the current sales figures? Are you making enough profit to make you smile? How is your morale and excitement? What about your sales team? How do you feel about your business/ career right now? Is this what you expected?
I
f you are not happy with the Answers of the above questions then take a look at these 6 approaches to bring happiness to your business, your sales career and your organisation again. NOTE. These practical approaches will help both Individuals, small businesses and Big corporation to double their sales.
1. Build long term Relationship.
Todays sales is no longer about transaction but Relationship. Transactional approach will give you one day and one time sale but Relational approach sale will give you repetitive sales and bigger sales. Everyday i approach my business with a relationship building approach. Bigger sales are built on Relationship. Relationship create trust, if your customer or client trust you he can recommend you or your services/product to friends and relative.
2. Always ask for referrals.
Do not just be happy that you have made a sale, be happy that you have made multiple sales out of one happy client. Remember to double your sales you have to sale more, to sale more you have to reach more people, to reach more people never forget to ask for referrals. In my sales career 2012 i was working with a company selling education solutions to schools. selling books was my category. This was my common question after closing a sale “Sir/Madam do you know any other lecturer/teacher who might be interested with this book?

3. Focus on the main thing
What is the main thing? Getting customers and making a sale. To double your sales you have to spend 90% of your time on the following activities. (PPF) Prospecting. Looking for people to share your product/ service Presenting. Face to face with your prospective client sharing how your product/service will help to solve his problem Follow up. This is where sales are hidden. Sales professionals make follow up their habit. People don’t buy or sign up to be your client in the first day. Keep following up. The magic is in the follow up.
4. Why not bigger sales?
The easiest way to double your sale is to nail bigger clients. This does not mean ignoring the small clients, but make a plan to go where big money is. Sometimes it takes the same effort the same process you used to close a small sale to close a big sale. So why not go for a big sale? Are you scared of big companies, corporations, here is the secret they are looking for fastest, aggressive, available and affordable people who can serve them well.
5. Learn how to close a sale Professionally.
Opening a sale conversation and closing a sale is a process which can either influence a prospect to buy or not to buy. This was my bigger challenge until i mastered it. I was good at presenting how my services will help a prospective client improve his life but i was so afraid to ask him/her to buy. To double your sales you must master the selling process. The selling process start when you wake up and go on when you meet your prospective client.
6. It takes team work.
If you own a big organisation doubling sales will take more than one individual. It takes team work. John C. Maxwell once said “it takes team work to make a dream work”. If you don’t have a motivated team which is fired up and exited about what they do then reaching the goal of doubling sales for your business or organisation will just be a nightmare. You need to build a strong and confident team to make it happen. Go extra mile, hire an expert to build, train and motivate your team. It takes team work to double your sales. HAPPY SELL
