¿Culpable? Guilty? stas líneas no tienen por objeto tratar el tema de la violencia de género pero sí destacar algunos conceptos que han sido discutidos en nuestra redacción en las últimas semanas. Todo empezó comentando un artículo que planteaba la duda sobre la culpabilidad de la mujer maltratada y ahí comenzó un bombardeo de opiniones. Tenemos la ventaja de formar un equipo con procedencias de varios países e incluso continentes por lo que el debate se puso interesante. Antes de avanzar queremos precisar que todos estábamos de acuerdo en el final, pero resultaban curiosos los argumentos de cada uno en función de cómo se había abordado el tema en los distintos países. En unos se trabajaba más la prevención, en otros la acción y en otros la judicialización además de otras medidas más directas. Nuestra conclusión, en la que todos estábamos de acuerdo es que la base es la educación que te lleva
inexorablemente al respeto. Nadie está obligado a estar con nadie pues afortunadamente hace muchos años que existe el divorcio, así que si la pareja con la que decidiste pasar el resto de tu vida ya no lo es, o no la ves como antes, ni acosos ni malos tratos, cada uno por su camino. Suena fácil, pero no, es mucho más complicado. Que es duro y ocasiona muchas inseguridades y problemas a corto plazo, seguro, pero también nos llevará a una vida cuanto menos más serena. Es algo que debemos hacer no solo por nosotros, sino por los hijos que nos acompañan, tenemos la obligación de ser un ejemplo a seguir para ellos. La provocación de unos o las características de otros no pueden ser nunca justificación para agredir a nadie. Tristemente es una pandemia universal, no entiende ni de razas, ni de políticas, ni de ricos o pobres, pero todos coincidimos que poniendo nuestro granito de arena, cada uno desde su hogar, algún día acabaremos con esta lacra.

Everything began with the comments on an article that posed the doubt about the culpability of the mistreated woman and there began a bombardment of opinions. We have the advantage of forming a team with a variety of backgrounds from several countries and even continents, so the debate became interesting. Before moving forward, we want to point out that in the end we all agreed, but the arguments of each one was curious based on how the issue had been addressed in the different countries. Some of them worked on prevention, others on action, and others on legislation, in addition to more direct measures. Our conclusion, in which we all agreed, is that education is the basis that inexorably leads you to respect. Nobody is obliged to be with anyone, fortunately many years ago divorce was created, so if the couple you decided to spend the rest of your life with is no longer who you want, or you don’t see he/she as before; you do not need to harassment or mistreatment, just get away from it. It sounds easy, but it is much more complicated. That is hard and causes many insecurities and problems in the short term, sure, but it will also lead you to a more serene life. It is something that we must do not only for ourselves, but also for the children, we have the obligation to be an example to follow for them. The provocation of ones or the characteristics of others can never be a justification for attacking anyone. Sadly, it is a universal pandemic, it does not understand either races, policies, or rich or poor, but we all agree that by putting our two cents, each from home, one day we will end this evil.

Todas las personas estamos identificados por un nombre y uno o dos apellidos dependiendo de la región. Por ejemplo, en Argentina hasta el 2008 se utilizaba solo el del padre. Cotejar nuestros apellidos y los de nuestros antepasados es no sólo un acto de fe, sino una señal evolutiva de nuestras raíces.

En República Dominicana, los orígenes de los apellidos en su gran mayoría de origen español, tienen distintas categorías. Los apellidos patronímicos son los que proceden del nombre de pila de la persona de mayor jerarquía o influencia. En el país destacan también los González, los Martínez, los Fernández, los García, los Rodríguez y los Pérez. Rodríguez es un apellido patronímico que procede del antiguo reino de León, actual Reino de España. Se remonta a principios de la Edad Media, alrededor del siglo XI. Significa "hijo de Rodrigo" o de "Rodericus", un nombre de raíz germánica que fue latinizado. Algo similar ocurre con el apellido González, que deriva del nombre Gonzalo muy común también durante la Edad Media. Sus raíces son visigodas y el apellido se extendió prácticamente por toda la Península Ibérica. Fernández, es otro apellido muy extendido, su genealogía indica que es una variante del nombre Ferdinando, que proviene del germánico Fredenand o Fridnand (gótico *Fri-nan " valentía “el protector" aunque también se ha interpretado como *Far-nan" valentía para el viaje". Según historiadores, hasta bien entrada la Edad Media era extraño que alguien, sin pertenecer a la realeza o nobleza, tuviese en propiedad alguna vivienda o tierras. Cuando la burguesía tuvo acceso a los bienes inmuebles, y por tanto a tener que generar documentación que acreditase su propiedad, apareció la conveniencia de poder identificar a quién pertenecía cada cosa. En ese momento, el nombre de pila dejó de ser suficiente, así que comenzó a añadirse en la documentación, y junto al nombre, alguna peculiaridad que identificase al propietario fácilmente. Los patronímicos se empezaron a utilizar en torno al siglo XI y servían para diferenciar a las personas a la hora de recaudar impuestos. Por entonces, el hijo adoptaba el patronímico del padre, por lo que iba cambiando de generación en generación, a no ser que padre e hijo compartiesen nombre. En el siglo XIV se comienza a adoptar un mismo patronímico que no cambia de generación en generación. Se elegía el de algún miembro destacado de la familia. Podía ser de hembra o varón, según conviniese. Hasta el Concilio de Trento, en el siglo XVI, las parroquias no estaban obligadas a registrar el apellido de las personas que nacían, se casaban o morían. Fue después de ello, cuando en los países católicos se estableció la obligatoriedad de que el mismo apellido pasara de padres a hijos. En la antigua Corona de Castilla y en países que fueron sus colonias ocurrió lo mismo. Raíces de nuestros antepasados que ponen en valor la cultura y la importancia de la familia, más allá de la extensión del linaje.

It was after that, when in Catholic countries it was established the requirement that the same name had to pass from parents to children. In the former Crown of Castile and countries that were their colonies the same thing happened. l municipio de Las Galeras, en la costa oriental de la península de Samaná, es un ejemplo de ello. No es sólo un destino que despierta el interés de los amantes del kiteboarding, windsurf y vela láser, sino también a los amantes a secas, que hallan aquí un escenario absolutamente paradisíaco, salpicado por el Atlántico, con un paisaje marino y terrestre formidable. Un lugar, que evoca cualquier amanecer del siglo XVI, en el que embarcaciones cargadas de temidos corsarios acaban de divisar la codiciada costa dominicana, tras una larga travesía remontando con pericia las aguas bravas. El destino es fácilmente accesible desde Santo Domingo, a través de la autovía que conduce hasta Santa Bárbara de Samaná, un municipio que destaca por sus coloridas casitas coloniales. Una ciudad con un extenso muelle donde todos los viernes se realiza un mercado artesanal que coincide con la llegada de cruceros. Interesante para pasear, mirar y adquirir alguna que otra artesanía en madera, ropa playera y piedras semipreciosas, entre otros. Desde allí, el camino a esta pequeña comunidad pesquera a 28 km al noreste de Samaná termina en una choza en la playa. También se puede alquilar un bote para acceder por mar. Las Galeras aún no es un destino muy conocido, tal vez por eso, preserve ese encanto especial para aquellos que se consideran más viajeros que turistas. Sus hoteles, pertenecen a extranjeros de origen francés, español e italiano, que cautivados por este lugar, decidieron instalarse y ofrecer servicios indispensables para atender al

turismo. En general, ofrecen paquetes de pernoctación con desayuno incluido. Resort todo incluido, sólo hay uno. En la calle principal se conjugan negocios de todo tipo y tamaño, desde pequeñas tiendas de artesanía, hasta restaurantes y bares, donde se puede disfrutar de un exquisito pescado frito. Al final de esta vía comercial se halla la playa Las Galeras a la que se accede a pie y desde la que se aprecia la perfecta conjunción entre la arena, el mar y las montañas aledañas que envuelven todo. Uno de los grandes placeres de una estadía en este lugar idílico es perder toda la perspectiva del mundo más allá, incluso de las playas vírgenes que lo arropan. Sucumbir a la tentación de no hacer nada más que tumbarse frente a la inmensidad del horizonte es más que razonable. Pero, si vences a la voluntad de resistir, ofrece una interesante variedad de actividades tanto en tierra como en el mar. Algunos historiadores afirman que fue aquí, donde Colón y su tripulación tomaron tierra por vez primera en la isla de la Hispaniola. De arena blanca y con un insuperable telón de fondo de centenares de palmeras, playa Rincón, una de las diez mejores del Caribe, se extiende ininterrumpidamente a lo largo de tres kilómetros, para que cada visitante reclame para sí mismo, parte de ella como de su propiedad. Con vehículo, el desvío está a 7 km al sur de Las Galeras en el camino a Samaná. La opción estándar es dejar Las Galeras sobre las 9.00 am y ser recogido a las 16.00 pm. Un trayecto de unos veinte minutos que tiene un costo aproximado de RD $2.500. Uno de los mejores lugares para bucear los atesora playa Frontón. Quizás por eso, en 2002 se filmó aquí Expedición Robinson, la versión colombiana de Survivor. Hay numerosos senderos que conducen hasta la misma pero es fácil perderse, así que es bueno contratar a un guía local o llegar en barco (las empresas cobran entorno a RD $3.000 por el trayecto de ida y vuelta). A la Playita, se llega desde la carretera principal, justo al sur de Las Galeras. Buscar las indicaciones hacia el Hotel La Playita, puede servirte de referencia. Una vez allí, debes seguir por un camino de tierra que se dirige hacia el oeste. Por la

Playa Madama es una pequeña zona marítima enmarcada por altos acantilados que bordean la costa. Preside una piscina de aguas bonancibles y limpias al fondo de un barranco, de un color asombrosamente “azulverdoso”. Es conveniente llegar a primera hora de la mañana y regresar temprano, ya que la luz se va pronto, oculta por esas grandes paredes rocosas. Encajada entre altas rocas de granito, en Boca del Diablo, las olas se precipitan por un canal natural y salen volando por los agujeros del macizo. En un automóvil o con un motor es la mejor manera de llegar. Para ello y como referencia, puedes buscar un camino de tierra sin marcar a 7 km al sur de la ciudad, y a unos 100 metros más allá del desvío bien marcado hacia Playa Rincón, y seguir hacia el durante unos 8 kilómetros. Sinuosa orografía, maravillosas playas, diversidad cultural, peculiar gastronomía afrocaribeña, sus huellas taínas o la visita anual de las ballenas jorobadas del Pacífico Norte, hacen de Las Galeras, un destino con un espíritu más auténtico y fuera de lo convencional.

u padre era un ingeniero mecánico, un intelectual que estaba a caballo entre clases universitarias y la investigación. Sin embargo, su madre era la Adalgisa Pantaleón, la reconocida cantante femenina, de ascendencia cubana, que llenaba los escenarios desde que participara en el primer Festival Nacional de la Voz y adquiriera el favor del público. “En las fiestas familiares, mis hermanas y yo solíamos cantar. Era algo normal para nosotros. Formaba parte de lo que veíamos, de las personas que teníamos a nuestro alrededor”, comenta Héctor Aníbal, cuando nos recibe en casa de su madre para tomar café con una amplia sonrisa de bienvenida y una cordialidad propia del que se siente cómodo. En 1989, su madre sustituyó a Mariela Mercado en la agrupación 440 de Juan Luis Guerra. A partir de entonces, una vorágine de conciertos y giras internacionales se sumaron a la rutina familiar. “Mi hermana tenía un año cuando mi madre comenzó con estas giras internacionales. Fue un momento de mucha actividad pero también de mucho aprendizaje y de estar en contacto con grandes profesionales”. No es de esperar que en medio de esta cotidianidad, Héctor Aníbal, comenzara con apenas siete años, grabando jingles para estaciones de radio y marcas locales. “Desde pequeño sentí el deseo de ser cantante, sobre todo, tras vivir en directo una de las presentaciones de mi madre en el hotel Dominican Fiesta, una imagen que aún me eriza la piel”. Con menos de veinte años se sube a los escenarios como vocalista del grupo de reggae-fusión conocido como Transfusión, una copy band que se quería dedicar al rock. “Llegamos al reggae de casualidad, versionando los temas de Bob Marley. Lo cierto es que durante seis años fue la banda juvenil más importante de República Dominicana y primer grupo local en difundir un vídeo musical en la MTV”. La agrupación que había firmado con la disquera SONY, galardonada con el premio Casandra como mejor agrupación de rock y su CD Reggaeando había logrado ser el más vendido de los grupos de rock local, en esa época se disuelve. “Continúo en el mundo de la música con agrupación Son Familia, de Chichi Peralta y participando como invitado en la producción discográfica Que hable la música, de Marco Hernández. Una gran experiencia donde aprendí mucho”. En el proyecto musical La Cuadra buscaría a sus amigos Alexis Peña y Pavel Núñez para generar una equilibrada fusión entre la bachata y el rock, incluyendo una guitarra eléctrica y añadiéndole otros sonidos al género “Con ese proyecto aprendí mucho del proceso creativo. De cómo construir las composiciones”. Dicen que el teatro musical comienza con la obra The Black

Hemos pasado por momentos buenos y malos pero somos un equipo”. Con sus dos hijos y su esposa, se refugia en Constanza para disfrutar del calor de la familia. “Sigo poniendo mi voz y mi imagen en campañas, laboro como actor, productor y cantante. Por su tamaño, es perfecto para recorrerlo en pocos días. Desde Santo Domingo a Curazao hay conexión con seis vuelos semanales a través de diferentes compañías aéreas. El trayecto es de menos de dos horas. Junto a Aruba, Bonaire, Saba, San Eustatius y San Marteen, Curazao forma el archipiélago con bandera holandesa. Los holandeses llegaron a esta parte del mundo en busca de una base segura desde la que pudieran continuar su guerra con España. Por eso, en su capital, Willemstad, pervive la huella que dejaron los colones europeos. Es un país con autonomía pero pertenece a los Países Bajos. u segundo día en Curazao puede comenzar con un paseo por su capital, Willenstad. Su centro histórico es Patrimonio de la Humanidad declarado por UNESCO, dado que cuenta con cientos de edificios históricos que son de la época de la colonización holandesa. Unidos por el puente Reina Emma, los barrios de Punda y el de Otroband, son los más distintivos. De visita obligada son fuertes de Rif y de Nassau, dos de los ocho defensivos que tiene la isla. El primero se encuentra al lado del puente de la Reina Emma y ha sido reconvertido en un mini centro comercial, el segundo alberga un restaurante. Después de almorzar, una visita guiada por la fábrica de licor Curazao es una buena opción, al final de la misma te ofrecen una cata de licores. Al atardecer puedes ir a Mambo beach o Jan Thiel Bay, dos de los lugares más animados de Curazao, donde se concentra la fiesta. Los restaurantes y bares de moda son muy frecuentados especialmente para apreciar la puesta de sol saboreando una buena copa. También se pueden realizar allí diferentes deportes acuáticos. Otra opción es visitar Port Marie. Su arena blanca se distingue de las demás por tener una plataforma de madera que se adentra en el mar. Esta bastante concurrida dado que está situada a las afueras de Willemstad, aunque realmente no muy lejos.

t can start with a tour in Willenstad. Its historic center is a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO, because of its hundreds of historic buildings from the time of Dutch colonization. United by the Reina Emma bridge, the neighborhoods of Punda and Otroband, are the most distinctive. A must see are the forts of Rif and Nassau, two of the eight defensive ones on the island. The first one is next to the bridge of the Queen Emma and has been converted into a mini shopping center, the second has turned into a restaurant. After lunch, a guided tour of the Curacao liquor factory is a good option, they’ll offer you a liqueur tasting at the end. At sunset you can go to Mambo beach or Jan Thiel Bay, two of the liveliest places on Curaçao, where the party is on. The trendy restaurants and bars are very popular specially to appreciate the sunset while having a good drink. You can also do different water sports there. Another option is to visit Port Marie. Its white sand is distinguished from the others by having a wooden platform that goes into the sea. It is quite busy given that it is located on the outskirts of Willemstad, although not far away.

Si tienes más tiempo... Visita Klein Curazao. A primera vista, un faro desvencijado, algunas casas de pescadores y una playa con hamacas son los elementos que puede ofrecer este lugar. Sin embargo, esta pequeña isla es un destino muy conocido para hacer una escapada de un día porque cuenta con unas playas impresionantes donde poder practicar buceo y snorkel. Se accede en barco en un trayecto aproximado de dos horas, en el que no te aburrirás.

Algunos historiadores dicen que Josef Hardtmuth, de origen austríaco, hijo de un carpintero, es el responsable de su aparición. Descontento con la baja calidad de los utensilios de los que entonces se disponía para escribir, tuvo la ocurrencia de mezclar arcilla con polvo de grafito, tras muchas pruebas logró determinar el grado de dureza del lápiz, y en 1792 fundó su propia empresa en Viena. Sin embargo, para obtener lo que hoy consideramos un lápiz, tuvieron que hacerse previamente muchos descubrimientos. Inglaterra mantuvo el monopolio del plumbago durante siglos hasta que en 1662, los alemanes consiguen mezclar grafito en polvo, azufre y antimonio para crear unos palos similares a los de los lápices ingleses, aunque de inferior calidad. Fue en la década de 1760 cuando la compañía alemana Faber fundó una fábrica en la ciudad de Nuremberg, Alemania, para la producción a gran escala. Durante las guerras napoleónicas, Francia se quedó sin lápices, ni los ingleses ni los alemanes se los vendían. De modo que el grafito se convirtió en un objeto de contrabando, logrando que el mineral llegara a ser tan valioso que incluso la corona británica podía castigar con la horca a los mineros que lo sustrajeran. Cumberland Pencil Museum
Actualmente, la ciudad de Keswick, Inglaterra, cercana a la zona del hallazgo original del bloque de grafito, tiene un museo del lápiz: el Cumberland Pencil Museum. La peculiaridad de su ubicación reside en que el suelo está repleto de grafito. Aunque exhiben distintos colores, el Caribe y el Mediterráneo tienen sus similitudes, una de ellas es la berenjena, que llegó a Europa en la Edad media por la senda árabe, y que por estos lares se instaló como en casa. Aquí tenemos una receta muy familiar acompañada con vieiras, las cuales se pueden sustituir por camarones a la plancha, sardinas escabechadas o por el humilde y aireoso huevo frito. Enfríe su espumante o cerveza preferida y empiece con los siguientes ingredientes: Para 6 personas: 2 berenjenas. 2 cebollas medianas. 1 pimiento rojo. 1 pimiento verde. 2 tomates bien maduros. 4 dientes de ajo. 1 ramita de tomillo. 1 matorral de cilantro. 1 limón verde. 1 tallo de apio. Sal gorda. Aceite de oliva. 1 Bandeja de vieiras

Here we have a familiar recipe accompanied with scallops, which can be replaced by grilled shrimp, pickled sardines or the humble and handsome fried egg. Chill your sparkling wine or favorite beer and start with the following ingredients: For 6 people: 2 eggplants. 2 medium onions. 1 red pepper. 1 green pepper. 2 ripe tomatoes. 4 cloves of garlic. 1 sprig of thyme. 1 cilantro thicket. 1 green lemon. 1 stalk of celery. Coarse salt. Olive oil. 1 tray of scallops.
Elaboración Ase las berenjenas al fuego vivo y a la vez que su color violeta va mutando, dele la vuelta para que toda la piel se chamusque, en caso de tener una cocina por inducción, tendrá que hacerlas en el horno. Si se ha empleado el fuego, sumérjalas en agua y manténgalas hasta que se enfríen. Mientras la cocina se invade por un alegre olor a campo, corte todos los vegetales, en dados pequeños y reserve cada uno por separado. En una olla honda, ponga un chorro de aceite de oliva a fuego lento junto con los ajos. Antes de que terminen de coger color, agregue los dados de cebolla y cocine hasta que se hayan caído. Añada los pimientos y los tomates y continuar a fuego lento. Escurra las berenjenas ya peladas y sin semillas y dé unos cortes al azar. Introduzca en la olla junto a la rama de tomillo, remueva bien y ponga el conjunto a punto de sal, deje a fuego muy bajo por alrededor de dos horas. Agréguele tanto cilantro como su paladar le permita y un chorro de jugo de limón. La meta es conseguir un guiso meloso con intenso sabor a berenjenas. En una sartén antiadherente, en poquito aceite de oliva y a fuego alto, ponga las vieiras para darles color en el mínimo tiempo posible, de manera que queden doradas y jugosas por dentro. Si lo prefiere, puede utilizar sus propias conchas como inmejorable platillo, colocando el guiso de berenjenas y coronándolo con el molusco. Se puede comer tanto caliente como frío, siempre que su paciencia se lo permita.

¿Cómo es que a los dominicanos les gusta tanto el bacalao salado? Probablemente porque la forma más habitual de comer del ser humano es utilizando la memoria. La misma memoria responsable del pensamiento “la comida de mamá es la más buena” también es la encargada de que ciertos productos y recetas perduren a través de los años. Para una merienda a media tarde o para sorprender en fiestas familiares, consíga los siguientes ingredientes: ½ libra de lomo de bacalao desalado y sin espinas. ½ taza de aceite de oliva virgen. 4 ó 5 dientes de ajo cortados en finas láminas. 1 taza de crema de leche. 2 papas hervidas. 1 cajita de casabe pequeño (casabito)

ablamos del roble amarillo, un árbol oriundo de Centroamérica y el norte de Suramérica, que puede crecer hasta unos quince metros de altura y sus raíces no se expanden tanto, por lo que se mantienen semi superficiales. Su nombre científico es ‘Tabebuia Aurea’ y sus frutos son deicentes, es decir, se abren en la copa de la planta y sin necesidad de caer. Como sus semillas son aladas y livianas, similar a la caoba, se dispersan con el viento, dando origen a otros árboles. La referida especie no exige terrenos específicos pero en su generalidad deben ser arenosos y mantener el nivel de humedad. Es poco resistente a la hora de tolerar vientos huracanados muy fuertes pero tolera muy bien el salitre del mar y las sequías. Por eso, su mayor uso es ornamental, especialmente en grandes áreas verdes. En las zonas rurales se utiliza para empalizadas y también para dar sombra. La marcha también puede ser un entrenamiento aeróbico y tener beneficios similares a correr. La marcha atlética es un deporte poco conocido, a pesar de ser uno de los primeros que se empezaron a practicar. A finales del siglo XVIII, en Inglaterra se hizo popular la práctica de este deporte, volviéndose aún más popular en los siglos siguientes. Pero, fue sólo en el siglo XX, cuando se reconoció la marcha atlética como una disciplina independiente y oficial. Debutaron en el año 1908, durante los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres. En 1979 se admitió que las mujeres participaran en las competencias, durante la Copa del Mundo de marcha atlética. No pudieron competir en esta disciplina en unos Juegos Olímpicos hasta los de Barcelona, en 1992. Ocho años después, en los de Sídney, la española de origen catalán María Vasco se colgaba

But it was until the twentieth century, when race walking as an independent and official discipline was recognized. The debut was in 1908, during the Olympic Games in London. In 1979 it was recognized that women could participate in competitions during the World Cup of Race Walking. They could not compete at this discipline in the Olympics until Barcelona in 1992. A pesar de que la marcha no es una mezcla entre la caminata y la carrera, sí que puede ser un “plus” a las caminatas pero sin llegar a correr, bien por falta de preparación bien por lesiones crónicas, por ejemplo. Para practicarlo, es conveniente que las zapatillas sean más tipo voladoras, o de suela con un grosor medio, a la vez que flexibles, para poder ejecutar mejor los movimientos. Los beneficios que aporta la marcha son muchos y variados, ya que tiene un menor impacto que el correr. La sobrecarga es mucho menor en la marcha, pues no se produce la fase de “vuelo” en ningún momento. Por otra parte es un ejercicio muy completo que implica tanto extremidades superiores como inferiores y también caderas, faja abdominal y lumbar. Como todo ejercicio, fortalece y mejora el sistema cardiovascular, reduciendo la probabilidad de sufrir enfermedades cardiovasculares como ataques al corazón e incluso el colesterol. La fórmula se copió y llevó a otros pueblos de la región del Cibao, en el centro del país, especialmente a La Vega y Bonao, donde todavía se sigue fabricando y vendiendo, incluso de manera informal en las calles y avenidas de las principales ciudades, en bandejas llenas de bolitas rojas. El dulce también adquirió otros nombres como churumbeles, memelos y chupetas rellenas de coco. Normalmente están rellenos de leche pero también de dulce de coco. A las canquiñas blancas también elaboradas a base de coco, se les conoce en Santo Domingo como palitos de coco. Para hacer el relleno de coco, en primer lugar, se calienta leche condensada a temperatura media en un caldero de fondo grueso y se cuece removiendo progresivamente hasta que espese y torne de un color caramelo claro. Después, se mezcla el coco rallado y retira del fuego. Se deja enfriar a temperatura ambiente y untándose un poco de aceite en las manos se pone una cucharada del relleno en la palma del mano para darle forma de pequeñas bolitas. Luego se reserva. Para hacer la cubierta de caramelo, se insertan los palitos de madera en las bolitas de relleno. Después se mezcla azúcar, colorante, agua, saborizante y sirope. Se pone a hervir y se inserta un termómetro hasta que alcance los 130°C (265 °F). Se retira del fuego. Con el caramelo cubrimos las bolitas y las ponemos sobre una bandeja de metal que hayamos untado de aceite. Para finalizar envolvemos los caramelos con papel y cintas. Dulces que traen nostalgia y remontan a la niñez de cualquier dominicano, cuando era frecuente que los vendedores ambulantes lo ofrecieran por las diferentes calles de las ciudades del país.

Como bien dijo el líder Nelson Mandela, a quien Darys admira profundamente, “la mayor gloria no es nunca caer, sino levantarse siempre”. Su mirada y su sonrisa transmiten seguridad y paz. Tal vez porque ha recorrido un largo camino y se siente satisfecha o puede que porque de toda su aciaga aventura, le quedan importantes enseñanzas de Juan Bosch o del padre Luis Quinn a quienes conoció desde pequeña y con los que mantuvo una estrecha relación. Oriunda de San José de Ocoa, destaca desde la infancia por sus excepcionales resultados académicos en el colegio Parroquial Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia. ighting in interior spaces is crucial for decoration and home design. It has ceased to be a functional aspect in the construction of a home to be a true art. There are different possibilities starting from the personality and creativity that you can achieve through the light, either to create a focal point, that enhances some detail, or to highlight some place you want to, depending on the effect we wish to provide. On the shelves, the dichroic lights emphasize the contents of each shelf and create a shadow in its contours. It is increasingly common to use electrified rails to adapt lighting to new furniture arrangements. Beyond improving functionality, light plays a main role in enhancing the elements that are part not only of architecture but also of decoration. Although the Spiaggina by Garage will be considered as an exhibition car, you will not have to wait long to see a production version, which can be equipped with any of the currently available engines in the Fiat 500 range. Hablamos del Internet de las Cosas, la inteligencia artificial, el Blockchain, la robótica, la impresión 3D, la realidad virtual y la realidad aumentada”, afirma Manzueta. De momento, 16 empresas ofrecen servicios y fabrican productos de alta tecnología para la exportación. Un nuevo modelo que incide en 2,199 empleos directos ligados a proyectos en el área de multimedia, dispositivos biométricos, y autopartes para la industria automotriz, entre otros segmentos del tejido industrial. “Estamos seguros que vamos a crear y desarrollar ecosistemas de innovación exitosos, empresas tecnológicas globales y ciudades seguras, prósperas e inteligentes”, asevera Manzueta. Un núcleo en el Caribe abierto al mundo con un lema claro: “Aprendemos, Creamos e Innovamos”. En definitiva, un ecosistemas que busca conectar la colaboración entre todos esos componentes esenciales para que se genere el proceso de crecimiento y generación de riquezas liderado desde las plataformas tecnológicas emergentes.
