When you are selling a home, it is easy to be offended by buyers who are making an offer on your property. Even id they love your house, they are trying to negotiate the best price and terms possible, and they probably won’t let you know how much they want the place until their offer is a ratified sales agreement. Buyers almost never write offers that entirely please sellers. The price may be too low and they might ask for concessions such as work to be done on the house. Offers and counter offers may be traded back and forth over a few days or even weeks. When there is finally a meeting of the minds, both sides might feel somewhat worn down by the whole process. One of a Realtor’s most important jobs is acting as the go-between during the negotiations, explaining each side’s needs to the other and trying to work out a satisfactory compromise. With our knowledge of financing, and negotiation procedures, we can often come up with creative solutions to many of the problems that arise.
