We had a Fundraiser Carwash for Baby Paige & Nathan. Here’s a little story about them. At 2 and a half years old, Paige was diagnosed with Medulloblastomas, which is a form of Childhood Brain Cancer. After complaining about having headaches for 3 weeks, her parents took her to the hospital to get a CT scan done and discovered a tumor the size of a golf ball in the brain. In June 2009, the brain tumor was successfully removed and she was put on High Dose Chemotherapy. This is her only option for treatment because Radiation to the brain of a child of her age could have severe side effects leaving her severely brain damaged. Nathan was born with Hereditary Sensory Autonomic Neuropathy (HSAN). Most people have not heard of this condition before as their incidence has been estimated to be about 1 in 25,000. There are ďŹ ve types of this condition, Nathan has type two, in which he is one of three people in the world with it. Nathan was admitted to the ICU due to severe seizures. Both are doing great.
