Chamber joins council to mark Armed Forces Week
Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce showed its support for the Armed Forces community by taking part in a flag-raising ceremony.

riege Leahy, the Chamber’s CEO, joined Hertfordshire County Council for an Armed Forces Week event at County Hall in Hertford. Hertfordshire County Council Chairman Councillor Annie Brewster introduced the ceremony and spoke of the council’s support for the Armed Forces Covenant before raising the flag.
The Chamber, which is a member of the Hertfordshire Armed Forces Covenant Board and supports Hertfordshire Heroes, Reservists and Cadets
as well as the Covenant, is involved with Armed Forces Week every year and promotes the Covenant to its members. The Ministry of Defence is also one of its patrons. Briege said: “It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to the Armed Forces and we are proud to support it.” Similar flag-raising ceremonies took place across the country during the week that ran from Monday 20 June and culminated in Armed Forces Day on Saturday 25 June.
