PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
This summer program is co-taught by musician Ben Baldwin and engineer Al Carp. The drumming portion will involve learning the fine art of African Drumming, accompanied by an electronics portion where participants will design their own automated light show to go with their drumming routine.
Join in this photography workshop where you’ll learn to use the manual photography setting on your phones and personal digital cameras. We’ll take field trips to different locations and explore a variety of subjects and styles. Van transportation will be provided. You’ll leave this workshop with a few distinct series of photographs printed, and one series framed! The framed series will be on display on campus at a later date! Please bring a phone and/or digital camera, as well as a laptop if you have one.

PAPER & FABRIC FUN

Initiating and promoting creativity can boost neural-network connectivity to enrich cognitive ability. In this workshop, we will recycle beautiful fabric and paper to create useful masterpieces. Please note that basic needle-thread and cutting abilities are required. Explore the arts through some of the many ways we create using fiber, ranging from embroidery, dye, sewing, weaving, and more. Please note, we will be using sewing machines and sewing needles at this program.

FIBER ARTS
INTRODUCTION TO PLAYWRITING Over the course of a week, participants at Berwick Academy will learn how to research, write, and develop their own play on an issue that is very important to them. Teens will learn everything from character development to storyboarding. On Friday, participants will report to The Seacoast Repertory Theatre, where there will be a final play reading.
