A quick online search for dance games will give you plenty of ideas for fun activities. A few examples are to use props around the house like ribbons and hula hoops. Flashlights can be fun when you turn off the lights, turn up the music and have a “spotlight” dance party. Or make a chart with each letter of the alphabet representing a different dance move. Have the kids dance their name or their favorite food. By encouraging our kids to take time for fun, switch things up, and get moving, we are showing them that their physical and mental health is important. And guess what? Yours matters, too. NS
