Strong partnership sets a good example for companies

n behalf of Hana Financial Group, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations on 65th anniversary of BIDV.
Since its foundation as Bank for Construction of Vietnam in 1957, BIDV has constantly evolved through various transformations from several changes of brand name to privatization in 2011 to become the largest financial institution in Vietnam with a time-honoured tradition. BIDV also showed excellent performance despite difficult market conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic and I believe it is largely attributable to the excellent leadership and bold decisions of the Chairman and other executive members that helped BIDV reach where it is now. Hana Financial Group has been actively cooperating with BIDV across diverse areas and as your strategic business partner, will continue to support various cooperative works particularly in 6 major sectors that are expected to create great synergy effects including IT&DT, risk management and retail banking. I am ensured that our strong partnership and successful cooperation will set a good example for many other companies in Korea and Vietnam seeking mutually benefiting business opportunities. BIDV also has a good reputation for its strong commitment to CSR activities such as offering loans at low interest rates to businesses affected by the Covid-19 and donations to healthcare institutions. We deeply relate to your CSR commitment as Hana Financial Group has also set a goal to become a leading financial institution in ESG and sustainable services thereby creating positive values in the society. With this goal, Hana Financial Group, as a strategic business partner of BIDV, promises to strengthen its CSR activities in Vietnam.

Spring is always a good season to make a fresh new start. I have recently heard that your bank created a new CI symbolizing the values of innovation and prosperity. As Hana Financial Group is also with a newly appointed chairman this year, I believe that we both will see meaningful and welcome changes throughout this spring.
