Your good bank continues to affirm your role and position as the leading financial institution in Vietnam and it has been such a great honor for me to work closely with BIDV senior management and the team. BIDV has a strong reputation for its professionalism, as well as its progress towards becoming a modern and progressive financial institution. It is with the collective dedication and hard work of your entire team that helps it reach the place where your company is today. This year marks 30 years of our long term partnership. We are immensely proud to have been one of the first foreign banks to support BIDV's growth and development, and over the years our relationship has continued to enhance.

Since the beginning, HSBC has been cooperating actively with BIDV across diversified areas, including credit and lending, global payment and cash management, trade finance, treasury activities, bond issuance advisory, and securities services. The close cooperation between two banks has been solidified through many remarkable deals: (1) HSBC acted as Bond Advisor for BIDV's Tier 2 Bond Issuance of VND1,362 billion in 2009 and Bond Advisor, Joint Arranger, and Book runner for BIDV's Tier 2 bond issuance of VND2.1 trillion in 2006 to reinforce BIDV's capital; (2) HSBC's USD200 million structured loan with tenor 5 years in 2012 and (3) By end of 2013, we signed the MOU with BIDV for providing advisory service on international bond issuance to targeted Vietnamese enterprises. Beside transaction banking activities, we are also keen on boosting cooperation with BIDV in treasury business, conventional and/or green bond issuances advisory and equity advisory services. I always trust that there are many more potentials to strengthen our mutual business partnership in the near future through various areas. We strongly appreciate opportunities we have had to do business with your bank over the years and believe we have built solid foundation to support continued growth of both institutions.
