Justin returns for his 9th season with the BHP where he has had the honor of acting in, directing, and/or choreographing sixteen productions since 2002. He is a nationally known and award-winning theatre educator, director, choreographer, and actor from Rapid City. Locals may recognize him from Black Hills Community Theatre, Firehouse Brewing Theatre, Black Hills Symphony Orchestra, and Rapid City Central High School where he just finished his 17th year as Co-Chair of the Performing Arts Department and the Artistic Director of Theatre. Dan Workman
Dan fuels the artistic vision of the BHP and with his wife, Deb, founded Dakota Players. His passion for the BHP goes beyond words. This is Dan’s 25th summer at the Black Hills Playhouse and his 12th as Artistic Director. Dan is an Associate Professor and the chair of the Department of Theatre at Augustana University where he teaches directing, acting, script analysis, and intro to theatre. He received his M.F.A. at the University of South Dakota. Over the years he has played many roles and directed many shows at the BHP!
Director of Education Alan is excited to return to BHP for this Deb is a true believer in every person’s season. He is currently in his 20th seaabilities and superpowers. Leading the son as a percussionist with the Black Hills way with kindness, she is a creator of theSymphony Orchestra. He was a percusatre opportunities and magic. Alan has also played percussion for Players, BHP Jr. Camps, and The Expanded the Black Hills Community Theater productions stage programs which are based in Sioux Falls. of The Music Man, Les Miserables, and The Full Monty. He recently retired from the Ellsworth Air Force Base engineering division where Deb works with her team to create innovative and engaging arts curhe worked in project management for 35 years. Coming to you all the way from Boston, MA, John is excited for his sixth season at the BHP! He is 1/3rd of the way through his MFA in Technical Production from Boston University, where he faces new educational challenges every day. He would like to give a special shout-out to Josey Miller for being just generally the best and to every person who has made the trek to our little corner of the park to support the arts!

Preston Workman is a high school student who enjoys the world of media. He has taken Digital Animation, and Audio/Visual Production classes at the CTE Academy in Sioux Falls, SD and takes great pride in his media presentations. Preston loves listening to audio books, drawing, hanging out with friends, biking the trails, and playing video games.
