“Oh, the places you’ll go …” Dr. Seuss was not wrong! One of the many benefits of being in the military is traveling and experiencing the many cultures the world has to offer. This is very true for your time at Fort Bliss! We’re here to help make your time at Fort Bliss and El Paso a memorable one. El Paso is part of a thriving, bi-national metropolis that represents a unique mixture of all things American and Mexican. There’s more than 400 years of history here. You will experience the blended cultures of Native-American, Spanish, Mexican and the cowboys of the wild west and this will definitely make your stay in El Paso unforgettable. The annual Bienvenidos a Bliss Relocation Fair welcomes Soldiers, Civilians, Retirees, and their Families to this one-stop-shop event. This year the Relocation Fair will be on Thursday, August 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center located at Bldg. 11199 Sgt. E. Churchill Street. Fort Bliss Army Community Service (ACS) and the El Paso Community work together to bring all the resources to Soldiers and their Families. This event has grown throughout the years and offers an excellent opportunity to get to know the community and receive valuable information about Fort Bliss and the surrounding El Paso area.

Regardless, if you have been here for five years or five days this event continues to educate, inform, and entertain all who attend. Bienvenidos a Bliss also includes a volunteer venue offering a place for those looking for meaningful volunteer opportunities in and around the Fort Bliss and El Paso area. Volunteer involvement is a personal and community investment, but it is important to find a passion. That’s why Bienvenidos attendees can visit more than 20 nonprofit organizations. Their missions can include participation in environmental pursuits, working with youth, the arts, healthcare and many more. William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) will also be offering a Health Fair with other various health agencies. All who participate can take advantage of this terrific experience to gain the knowledge they need to navigate around the various aspects of healthcare throughout Fort Bliss and El Paso communities.
