Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I am proud to have worked through some unresolved grief in therapy, which allowed to think about my grandmother with a smile on my face rather than tears.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

I plan to be kind to myself and not beat myself up for things I can’t do, especially while I focus on healing my sprained ankle and recovering from my recent gallbladder surgery. I want to take things one day at a time and not stress about things I can’t control.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

My family.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I am proud to have lived another year despite my terminal cancer diagnosis. I was able to visit Ireland for 3 weeks, which was a dream come true. I also continue to work at a job that I love, which brings me joy and purpose. I plan to keep living my life to the fullest and making the most of every day.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

I will promise to relax more often!

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

My life, my kids, the great apartment that I occupy and the support of my friends and family.

back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

Looking

I am incredibly proud of the birth of my son and the fact that my family was able to purchase a car. Additionally, I am proud of the fact that we were able to move to a bigger home with the help of Boardwalk.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

I plan to prioritize self–care by focusing on my physical and mental well–being. After becoming a mother, I realized that it’s easy to neglect oneself. I want to make sure to take care of myself by indulging in simple pleasures like enjoying a hot cup of coffee, taking long baths, eating nutritious food, and staying active for my health.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

I’m most grateful for good health. With everything happening, my husband, son and I are all in good health and happy. I’m grateful that I have a warm and inviting home where we can just be ourselves and enjoy each other.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I am proud of myself for overcoming homelessness and securing a stable place to live. Additionally, I am excited about starting a full-time job, which will provide financial stability and a sense of purpose.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

Everybody deserves kindness, and I think that I forget to remind myself of that as well. I deserve just as much kindness as any other person walking down the street. I will be less hard on myself, more accepting of anything I would consider a flaw, and just appreciate how far I’ve come.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

Myself and the resilience that I have built up through the last couple of years.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I finally moved out and got my own place with Boardwalk and started university, woohoo!

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

I decided I’m going to pick up yoga in 2023 which I would recommend to anyone. It’ll be showing myself kindness by allowing myself time to reflect emotionally and relax physically.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

My supporting family and good health.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I moved to Edmonton and crushed it in my graphic design courses at BCIT with all A’s!

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

My goal for the year is to secure a job in the graphic design field, or in a creative and healthy work environment. I also want to focus on staying active by joining a gym and taking art and exercise classes. I want to make time for leisure activities like ice skating, and relaxing in the hot tub and pool. Additionally, I want to remind myself that when people are rude or toxic, it’s a reflection of their own insecurities and to not let it affect my own happiness.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

I moved to a new apartment in Edmonton and it has made such a positive impact on my life. My husband no longer snores every night, my dog is happy with a door to see other dogs outside, and I get to see my best friend who lives in Edmonton again.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I rearranged, decluttered, and donated the majority of items cluttering my home. I got my dog spayed, and I went on lots of bike rides with her. Also, my plant collection grew tremendously.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

Making more of an effort to hang out with my friends, standing up for myself when something doesn’t feel right, and not putting up with any form of disrespect from anyone.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

I’m trying to keep things positive, like spending time with my beloved dog and being grateful for the comfort of my home. It’s been a tough time recently, as I lost both my mom and sister right before Christmas, but I’m trying to stay strong and find the good in things to help me through.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

Looking back at 2022, I’ve made new relationships with great people and travelled across the world to reunite with family.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

I plan to show myself more kindness by taking small breaks throughout the day, and continue doing the things I love.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

I’m grateful for my health and having people to rely on.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I’m making a change by reaching out for help with my depression, and I’m excited to announce that I got married on July 31, 2022! It’s important to take care of myself and not be afraid to ask for help.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

Prioritizing my well–being so I can be the best version of myself for my family. Taking steps to improve my mental health and making sure I have the energy and support to take care of my husband and children.

As we enter 2023, what are you most grateful for?

My family!

I was able to pay off a large amount of debt!

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

By staying clean and only allowing loving people in my life.

I’m proud to say that I’ve been sober for four whole years now! It’s been a journey, but I’m so glad I made the decision to take care of myself and my health.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I am proud of myself for making the big move to independence and taking on adult responsibilities. It’s a huge step and I’m feeling great about it!

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

I plan to remind myself regularly that I am a good person and treat myself to things like spa days and hair appointments. I will remind myself that I am valuable and my contributions are appreciated by consistently giving myself positive affirmations and self–care.

I am most grateful for my family and friends who care about me and are happy with my decisions in life.

I got married to the love of my life!

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

I want to stop holding myself back and reach my full potential by enrolling in post-secondary education this year. I know that I am smart and capable, despite what others may have led me to believe. I want to be an example to others who may feel out of place and show them that we all have a place in this world. It may just be in a different puzzle.

My health, the amazing people in my life, and I live in a country with so many freedoms and liberties.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I am proud of myself for completing my diploma in Addiction Counselling and Community Worker Services at the age of 70. It just goes to show that it’s never too late to pursue your goals and make a positive change in the world.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

Being more compassionate, patient, understanding and showing kindness as I interact with vulnerable people at my workplace.

Looking back at 2022, what are some accomplishments, big or small, that you are most proud of?

I want to continue being a helpful and supportive person in my community, without expecting anything in return. Helping others is a way of helping myself and I want to always keep that in mind. I also want to focus on building and maintaining positive relationships with my neighbors and friends.

How are you planning to show yourself more kindness in 2023?

Keep on being grateful and keep living the dream.

we enter 2023, what are you most grateful

for?

I’m so grateful for my Boardwalk community and all the amazing people and animals that make it special. The team members, neighbours, mailman, and even the little squirrels and birds. I’m especially grateful for our maintenance man, Glen, and the kindest man I’ve ever met, Arvinder from head office. My colleagues in the office, Sharri, Josh and Sam, feel like family to me.

I’m also grateful for all the renovations that have been done in my building and the contractors who made it happen. But most of all, I’m grateful for my furry best friend, Peanut.

I was promoted at work and my partner and I decided to start a family!

I want to open my door to more people and help others learn how to navigate inflation costs. I want to help people learn to save money and plan for their future.
