Dear Premier Club Members, WE GOT SUMMER 2017 OFF TO A GREAT START OVER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, and really got into high gear over the recent Fourth of July weekend. I know many of you enjoyed our blockbuster roundup of Fourth weekend activities – bocce, Karma Vibes Yoga, Under the Stars at Beaches Bar, performances by Ed Roland, celebrity DJ’s, and a lot more. The fun continues apace as we head into the back half of summer. Peeking ahead a bit, we’ll be ushering in the long Labor Day weekend with a LobsterRock party – for which we’ve booked The Police Experience, billed as the world’s most authentic Police tribute band. We’ll also feature plenty of our most popular activities, including yoga, bocce, and dancing to celebrity DJ rhythms – in short, lots of options for all ages and interests! Later this summer we will introduce our new InBody Fitness Assessment Program. InBody is an innovative diagnostic and tracking system that’s used by the amazing acrobats of Cirque du Soleil as well as many elite corporate wellness programs. To schedule your first assessment, just make an appointment with our Health Club. This is a great way to get a head start on 2018 resolutions and to make sure you look and feel your best by the time the holiday season rolls around. From time to time we get inquiries about hosting private events here at the Resort & Club. For your convenience, we’ve put together a list of private event options at our restaurants – it’s on page 13 of this issue. Finally, it’s Membership renewal time. Our upcoming season lineup is rapidly taking shape, so get excited! We’ll have a new roster of Artists in Residence, Celebrity Chef Wine Dinners, boutique vintners for the popular Tasting Room at Monkey Bar, renowned yoga and zumba instructors, top of the line pop-up trunk shows, plus performances by Christopher Cross, Jon Secada, HBO-caliber comedians, and much, much more. You’ll receive your renewal paperwork in the mail in the coming weeks. You may submit your renewal by mail or at Member Services, or do nothing - your membership will automatically renew. Ximena, who was born in Santiago, Chile, is also certified by the Athletics and Fitness Association of America as a group instructor, by the Aquatic Exercise Association and by the Arthritis Foundation. These tools have enabled her to truly transform lives – whether the issue is poor posture, a frozen shoulder, weak knees, a stiff back or rehabilitation following surgery or an injury. As an aquatic specialist, she channels the gentle healing effects of the water through her Aqua-fit classes at the Boca Beach Club. As a personal trainer, Ximena designs workouts to fit her client’s unique needs and goals. Ximena believes passionately that, “Fitness is a state of mind.” She works diligently in motivating and empowering her clients with knowledge to reach the quality of life they are striving to achieve. When Ximena is not working at the Resort & Club, you may find her on the golf course. Golf is her deepest passion. She was the Chilean National Amateur Golf Champion and a two-time member of the Chilean World Cup Golf Team. She came to Florida on a golf scholarship, graduating from Florida Atlantic University with her a degree in physical education and health.
