Discretionary Bursary This funding is available to learners with a household income of less than £25,000 per year and helps cover the cost of studying. The Discretionary Bursary is awarded as help with the cost of your travel to and from College.

This bursary is available if: •
You are in care or are a care-leaver
•
You receive Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payment in your own right
•
You receive Income Support in your own right
•
You receive Universal Credit, paid in place of Income Support, in your own right
• Subsidised trips and visits • Discounted membership fees for our on-site Fitness Suite
Courses are usually free if you are: •
Aged 16-18
Care to Learn

A British or European Union resident
•
On a full or part-time, government-funded further education course
If you’re a young parent, aged 19 or under, you may be eligible for financial assistance from the government’s Care to Learn scheme. The scheme provides help with the costs of having a child looked after at an Ofsted registered nursery or childminder whilst you study at College.
