POEM Poem
Every other evening,
I go to spend some time with Grandpa. He receives me with a warm greeting, And tells me stories about his life with Grandma When I was four, he’d teach me rhymes, And now, he teaches me to be brave. I feel like giving up, sometimes. Then, it’s his wisdom I crave. Tales of his army days as a major, Warning us to never give up, everThey inspire me to fight for my country’s honour, And like him, be fearless and clever. Sometimes, he feels a little lonely But never lets us get the drift. His hugs feel happy and homely, Every minute with him is a gift!
Inspire: to encourage
We should spend more time with our grandparents and elders, and learn from them. June 22
