Dear readers,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to this anniversary edition of British Style. It celebrates not only the 30th issue of our magazine itself, but also the anniversaries of famous Brits covered within. These are well worth celebrating – people who have long transcended the title of “celebrity”, becoming true legends both at home and abroad. Among them are Michael Nyman, the most famous British classical composer living today, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who is constantly overshadowed by his royal wife Elizabeth II and Freddie Mercury who would have been 65 this September. For those who spend their leisure time discovering and learning new things, they are warmly invited to Scotland, to visit the house museum of another famous man who celebrates his anniversary – Sir Walter Scott.
