Here we are, friends, after another month of the world being absolutely flipped on its head. One thing I have been absolutely impressed by is the resilience and determination of the wedding vendors in the NY/NJ/CT/PA area. Not only are these vendors facing challenges head on, but they’re challenging back. The wedding industry is one that has needed challenging for a long time. I am so proud of every outspoken vendor supporting BLM, supporting shifts on major and minor scales, and supporting their community. There is so much to be said for those who are using their platforms for good. To speak out when speaking out is needed, and who keep on speaking out thereafter. The world needs more of you. I don’t have much more to add to this issue’s editor’s letter. Black lives matter.

Jaclyn & Anthony

REAL WEDDING LIMELIGHT ENTERTAINMENT BONNET ISLAND ESTATE MANAHAWKIN, NEW JERSEY

LIMELIGHT ENTERTAINMENT WRITES... Jaclyn and Anthony’s wedding at Bonnet Island Estate was absolutely gorgeous! Jaclyn and her seven bridesmaids wore adorable satin matching pjs while getting all dolled up the morning of. The girls went with a natural yet glamorous look for their makeup. Jenielle Jensen of Makeup by Jenielle Jensen did a fantastic job at defining and glistening the girls’ natural beautiful features. They looked so stunning! Jaclyn went with a nude pink lip and big eyelashes that silhouetted her gorgeous brown eyes. Jaclyn’s hair looked beautiful!! Kelly McCormick styled the girls hair and each do was very unique; our beautiful bride went with a messy updo. After a few finishing touches and fun shots of the girls together, it was time to get Jaclyn into her Pronovias wedding dress from La Belle Mariee Bridal. MY GOSH, SHE LOOKED GORGEOUS!! 3, 2, 1... her father came to see her for the first time all dolled up and he entered with a camera in his hands – too funny!! He was speechless at how beautiful his daughter looked. Everyone needed tissues for this one! Speaking of first looks... Jaclyn and Anthony had their special time during their first look. Anthony looked so handsome wearing a Jos A. Bank tuxedo and brown suede dress shoes. He accented his look with a floral blue and pink tie and paired it with a blush pink pocket square. HOW HANDSOME! After Jaclyn and Anthony’s first look we photographed them with their two precious puppies Maverick and Bonnie!! They both had floral collars on and looked absolutely adorable. Especially when Bonnie kept trying to eat Maverick’s floral collar! We had some fun with Bonnet Island’s gorgeous grounds and took some photos near the beachy reeds. Now it was time for the bridal party! The seven groomsmen wore matching blue tuxedos, blush pink ties, suede brown dress shoes, and rope tie clips. The bridesmaids floor length blush pink dresses complemented the blue tuxedos nicely. Everyone looked great! Time to get these two married! The ceremony space at Bonnet Island Estate is so pretty!! Angela Nicole Design did an incredible job at arranging the florals for Jaclyn and Anthony’s wedding. Everything looked so beautiful. Jaclyn and Anthony’s ceremony was sweet and very special. Their good friend Adam officiated their wedding and made their wedding ceremony absolutely perfect! After a few kisses, the couple walked down the aisle as husband and wife with all their loved ones congratulated and cheered them on. Finally it was time for the part Anthony was anticipating – TO PARTY! Chris Marino of Limelight Entertainment rocked the dance floor with all the couples favorite songs! Everyone danced all night long. It was pretty epic! Steve Dimaggio of Color Room Films filmed their entire wedding and sure enough he got some awesome footage from this night! Sunshine Luxury

STYLED SHOOT STEPHANIE BERENSON PHOTOGRAPHY FARMINGTON GARDENS, THE GARDEN FARMINGTON, CONNECTICUT

PHOTOGRAPHER STEPHANIE BERENSON WRITES...

Spring luxury vibes in a bright greenhouse. That’s what Sarah, creator of Brehant Creations Events, had as a goal with this styled shoot that she dreamt up while being pent up inside during the wintertime. She designs nontraditional events, and this was definitely far from cookie cutter with the bright pops and perfect coordination. The ceremony was just one of the showstoppers, thanks to Floral Designs by Justine. A half circle of thick, lush florals, filled with everything from Anthurium, Garden Roses, Craspedia, and Ranunculus created this unique shape floating above the ground. In the center was a mandala rug that added a bit of a bohemian flair.

REAL WEDDING LAUREL CREATIVE RYLAND INN WHITEHOUSE STATION, NEW JERSEY

Katie & Vinny

FROM THE COUPLE... My wedding was a dream! I never really wanted a barn wedding but I knew I didn’t want to have it in just any old ballroom. When I saw the plans for the Coachhouse at the Ryland Inn it was basically my Pinterest wedding board come to life! I knew I had to get married in there. It had both old and new (being an old renovated horse barn) indoor and outdoor spaces, and a stunning guest house for our wedding party. I didn’t have an exact theme per se but wanted our day to be elegant and timeless. I had a lot of romantic colors like blush and a deep burgundy incorporated throughout my decor and florals as well as a lot of early tones and textures including a bunch of logs cut down from my grandparents house in Pennsylvania! One tradition we could not forget was the Norwegian Kransekake. This is an almond based cake made out tired rings. Tradition holds that the newlyweds lift the cake from the top ring and how ever many rings come off the top of the cake is how many children they will have. We picked up 2 rings!

REAL WEDDING ANTHONY TOMASSI PHOTOGRAPHY THE WATERVIEW MONROE, CONNECTICUT

IN THE WORDS OF THE COUPLE... We did not use any decorations for the ceremony space other than light pink flower petals down the aisle. The waterview decorates their ceremony space so it was beautiful enough on its own. Before guests walked in the were greeted with a few friendly signs to make them feel welcome which I made myself. When it came to the reception I did most of the decorations myself. I made pink & gold table numbers out of simple picture frames. The place cards for the tables were hand written by my grandmother. We also had a signature drink for guests that was named after our dog Jax. Around the reception area guests could find pictures & keepsakes of ours so they could feel like they really knew the story of us. The most special moment was finally getting to marry my best friend after 6 years. After all the hard times, trials, long distance, laughs & tears I got to call my college sweetheart my husband.

NICOLE NERO STUDIO WRITES... This M&D Farm wedding had the most perfect weather (in mid-August, who would have thought?!), the most delicious food, perfect details, a stunning dress, a first look with dad and an amazing couple who is crazy-in-love! Also... sandwiches, who’d think they were the ticket?! Kevin and Maggie met when they both worked at Haymarket Media in 2011. Maggie as an event manager and Kevin as a reporter. One day, in 2012, Kevin emailed Maggie with a simple message: “Do you like sandwiches?”. As luck would have it, she did. The rest is history.
