Well this is certainly not the world any of us anticipated when we started this year off. But it’s the world that we’re living in. The world that we’re adjusting to. Creative people, from vendors to couples, are showing their adaptation skills. I’m so impressed with the different ways that people are adjusting and improvising. We don’t know what the future of weddings looks like, in the near and distant future. We do know one thing: love stories never stop. For every couple who is postponing instead of cancelling their wedding: thank you. For every couple choosing to elope in a beautiful way and celebrate later: thank you. You are carrying on the love stories that keep wedding professionals like us motivated. We thrive off of helping you to create incredible memories and beautiful moments.
We’ll get through this, and on the other side we’ll show how resilient we were. It’s completely okay to have off days. To feel like business is never going to be the same. To mourn the loss of livelihoods, of months of plans, of our sense of normalcy. It is not okay to give up on yourself in this time. Love stories are important, but the love you share with yourself is the most important. To every couple and every vendor out there struggling right now: we are with you. We hope to continue to bring love, light, and inspiration into your life. Stay strong. Love will always prevail.

HAVE HEART PHOTOGRAPHY WRITES... Our day started off at a shore home in-town right around the corner from our iconic beach surf spot, “The Cove”. The guys have all been life guards and pals since their early teen years, so it was no surprise that they picked a location by the sea. We first started portraits at the The Hotel Alcott, which is where the couple celebrated their wedding reception. The second story bridal suite also doubled as a fun photograph for the bridal party! We made some pit stops throughout historic Cape May for some gorgeous portraits, shout out to Great American Trolley Company! After the sunset, with sandy feet and full hearts, we started to party in celebration of the beautiful couple. The couple were announced and there wasn’t a sitting guest in the house. They shared their first dances surrounded by their loved ones.

THE WHOLE CREW WRITES... Julie and Craig are one of the sweetest couples EVER! From their fall engagement session up in Erie, Pennsylvania, to their wedding day near my hometown of State College, working with them was such a joy from start to finish! Their wedding was family oriented and incredibly personal. From the Bride: “We are a Tinder success story! It was the best ‘blind’ first date” “Craig proposed to me on his birthday by putting the ring inside the birthday present I bought for him. Complete surprise!” “I love Craig’s character. Craig is always there for the people he cares about, but also strangers. Craig’s love language is acts of service. He always does the right thing. We have similar values and morals.” From the Groom: “I love her patience, sensibility, and forgiveness. She’s always able to put things into a logical perspective for me and help me reason with tough situations. She has also sacrificed a lot to be with me and deal with the lifestyle I have (military), and not many people can say they would do what she is willing to do.” From the Photographer: “Craig and Julie compliment each other really well. They truly are two parts that seamlessly make up a whole. This shoot was a labor of love from a group of Hudson Valley based artists that came together to create a uniquely edgy and warm event. The photoshoot was inspired by the vintage industrial setting, warm earth tones/textures and an emphasis on locally foraged materials. The event focuses on blending elements from each vendor to work together harmoniously. This is seen in the brassy elements of the venue, echoed in the jewelry selection, vases for florals and elements of the tablescape. The ceremony space is highlighted with a vintage rug and surrounded by locally foraged dried flowers and plants with pops of fresh blush florals. Engaged models Sophia and Michael’s real life chemistry is palpable. Sophia felt great in her comfortable, fun and flirty lace romper. The florals were highlighted again in the bride’s hair, the groom’s boutonniere and as accents on the tablescape. The overall vibe for this event was inspired by the concept of a boho warm wedding environment.

KERRY MCINTYRE WRITES... Laura and Kevin had a gorgeous and elegant wedding at the Ridley Creek State Park mansion. The architecture of this place is stunning in and of itself and as a wedding venue, it is phenomenal. The ceremony location transports guests into a different era in the ruins of a stone house that has become an outdoor garden. The venue itself is a State Park that attracts a lot of locals and tourists alike with it’s interesting history.

THE PORTOS WRITE... Rachael and Mike were brought together over their work in the arts and love of theatre, so a dramatic wedding was always in the cards. A unique venue was a must that was striking yet intimate. Rachael is culturally jewish and Mike agnostic so they decided on a secular ceremony with jewish elements. One of which was a gorgeous huppah Mike built for their ceremony. Mike’s mother also played the piano while his sister (a chorus member is the Metropolitan opera at Lincoln center) sang them a blessing. A down to earth couple they served gourmet pizza and decorated the 19th-century factory turned arts center with a double seated swing, vintage furniture found on estate auction sites all curated by the couple. A VW photobus, bottle dancers (re-enacting the famous scene from fiddler on the roof) and a fire dancer entertained guests. Rachael and Mike wanted this to be a day both they and their guests would never forget.

JEANIE DIFULVIO WRITES... Shannon and Michael tied the knot on Labor Day weekend in Atlantic City, NJ with all of their friends and family by their sides. The weather was amazing, the details were exquisite, and the day was just pure perfection! Keeping true to the Atlantic City theme Shannon and Michale gave scratch off’s to all theirs guest as favors, the table numbers were custom made playing cards, the groomsmen wore socks with cards and dice on them and Michaels boutonnière had a $2 bill in it! They ended their big day with a firework send off for everyone to enjoy. Shannon and Michael absolutely hit the “jackpot” in finding true love!
