Spaces to thrive

We provide world-class teaching and learning facilities. Here’s a taste of what you’ll find across campus.

Wilfred

Brown

Redeveloped in 2018, this cutting-edge ‘green’ building is designed to inspire and engage STEM professionals and students during their studies. It’s also the home for Computer Science laboratories.

Antonin Artaud

Our Arts building contains drama and performance studios, a music room, and radio recording and video editing suites. Brunel Arts regularly stage live productions here too.

Auditorium

The Eastern Gateway Auditorium is one of the most impressive places to be on campus. Here, you’ll be inspired through lectures with guest speakers, attend seminars and even possibly become part of the audience for BBC’s Question Time. We’ve hosted it here twice now.

Visual effect studio / green room

With an infinity cove green screen, post-production Mac Pro and Armari workstations, and industrystandard applications, our visual effects studio rivals plenty of worldwide production studios. Here, you’ll learn the art of digital compositing, motion graphics, 3D animation, 2D graphics and video-editing.

Laboratories

Our state-of-the-art laboratories are perhaps one of the most exciting places to be studying. With support from world-renowned academics and some of the best kit available in industry, you’ll develop skills here that stick with you throughout your career.

Engineering laboratories

Our chemical engineering facilities have specialised equipment for heat transfer, bioprocessing and hydraulics accompanied with state-of-the-art analytical equipment, giving you the opportunity to use industry-standard tools while you study.

Clinical practice rooms

You’ll get hands-on experience in real-life settings to amplify your learning, in our anatomy centre, simulated hospital wards, specialist clinical skills laboratories and a gym.
