Complete and submit your application

From the 5 September 2023 you’ll be able to submit your application.

The deadline to apply for most courses is 31 January 2024.

UCAS Extra opens

If you’ve used all five choices earlier on in the cycle and don’t receive any offers, or you decide to decline any offers, you can use UCAS Extra to apply for more choices.

Any applications received after June 2024* are automatically entered into Clearing.

Confirmation of your offer

Check UCAS to see the status of your offer.

Respond to offers

If you submit your application on time, you must respond to any offers you receive by early June*.

Results day

A-level results day is mid August* (in England). This is when you can find out if you have successfully met your grade requirements.

Clearing

If your application is unsuccessful, or you’ve changed your mind about where or what you want to study, you can use Clearing to apply for a different course or university, if places are still available.
