London on your doorstep
There’s plenty to see and do in the capital, from exploring famous landmarks such as the London Eye, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace to visiting an art gallery or seeing a show in one of the many West End theatres. Dine out and try new flavours or find a great pub to spend the afternoon in – there’s something to suit every taste.
There’s always something happening in the streets of London, and it’s all just a tube ride away.
Staying local
A short walk from campus, Uxbridge is the nearest town. Here you’ll find entertainment, restaurants, leisure facilities and shopping centres. There’s also plenty of parks and gardens nearby, or you could take a stroll along the Grand Union Canal.
Nearby attractions
A little further afield, you can enjoy a day out at Windsor Great Park or Kew Gardens. Take a short trip to Ruislip Lido and you’ll find a 60-acre lake, woodlands and a sandy beach.
