Making new friends

Maybe it’s the first time you’ve lived away from home. Or perhaps you’ve decided to commute to campus. You’re probably full of mixed emotions about starting university. Nervous, apprehensive and at the same time full of excitement. You probably want to know what to expect. What will Brunel be like? Here’s a window into our friendly, buzzing and exciting campus.

Coffee + Friends

Meet up in our trendy Coffee Room or spend a summer afternoon watching the Brunel world go by outside our 1966 café.

There are plenty of places on campus to grab a coffee and hang out with friends.

Experience the world on your plate

There are so many food outlets to choose from, all just steps away from each other. Start your day with an English breakfast at the Junction. Look out for our popup street food vendors to grab yourself a bite. Order a pizza, grab a Subway, taste our tortillas or experience the flavours of the Middle East at Beseha.

Relax in the outdoors

Have a chat, stop for a snack or just enjoy the sun in our quad at the centre of campus. We may be only a short tube journey from the centre of one of the most bustling cities in the world, but that doesn’t mean that we lack green space. As a Green Flag award winner, we’re proud of our leafy campus and we hope you will be too. There are plenty of quiet places to sit or to walk and a pretty river runs through the centre of campus.

If you don’t want to leave campus, you don’t have to Everything is here, including your shopping. Stock up on essentials at the campus supermarket or try some freshly baked goods and fresh fruit and veg from the pop-up market stall.

You won’t have to go far for a great night out

Meet up with friends for a drink at our student bar, Loco’s. The Venue is your student event space and home to your big nights out on campus. Cut some shapes on the dance floor to those huge house anthems, test your knowledge at quiz night and don’t miss out on the popular ‘Mega Global’ nights.
