Brunel’s Computer Science department has invested in brand new, dedicated computer labs. It’s here you’ll be taught using the most current specialist software and hardware, and you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience in working with robots. We’re members of the Microsoft Learn for Educators programme. This enables us to offer a range of certifications to add to your degree, and demonstrate the skills needed to be successful across a variety of technical careers. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your projects at our annual Made in Brunel Software Innovation event. This event will give you a platform to demonstrate your expertise to industry professionals, with awards presented by the likes of Cisco, Sky and Xerox.
Careers and your future
You’ll have the option of undertaking a placement year, providing you with invaluable industry experience. Previous students worked in companies such as Microsoft, BMW, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, and Xerox.
Alongside a focus on industry trends, you’ll benefit from gaining a comprehensive understanding of
IT systems, networking and project management, to give you a head start in your career and prepare you for the workplace.
Our recent graduates have gone on to work for well-known organisations, including Accenture, Toshiba, Microsoft, British Airways, O2, and Barclays.
