Studying Environmental Sciences at Brunel will give you the foundation you need to pursue a career that makes a difference to our planet. You’ll be part of a team developing creative and innovative ideas around the areas of climate change, sustainability, renewables, biodiversity, pollution and environmental governance. Our courses are accredited by the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and you’ll benefit from free IES membership. This is your first step towards becoming a Chartered Environmental Scientist, bringing opportunities for networking and professional development. Careers and your future

Your Environmental Sciences degree will give you the skills to deal with sustainability and environmental management issues, which are now becoming important factors for all types of businesses. You’ll also have the potential opportunity to work within government organisations that help create better places for people and wildlife, as well as support sustainable development in the UK.

Our unique compressed degree option gives you the opportunity to carry out two placements during summer vacations or a one-year placement between years 2 and 3. Upon graduating, you’ll better understand the impact of humans on the natural world and become someone who develops practical solutions to tackle global ecological issues.
