Creating doctors for a changing world Brunel Medical School

The Brunel Medicine MBBS enables you to graduate with the medical knowledge and professional skills you’ll need as a new doctor, ready for further training in the UK or overseas. On successful completion, you’ll be awarded a UK Primary Medical Qualification called Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)* and be eligible to undertake your Foundation training in the UK. Your learning at Brunel will be team-based, technology-driven and patient-focused preparing you for the future of medical practice. Team-based Learning (TBL) is the main teaching approach in the early years. This is a flipped class-room approach with emphasis on frequent monitoring of learning, and on interactive team work.

COURSES

AVAILABLE Medicine MBBS *This course is open to International applicants only for 2024 entry.

From early on in first year you’ll learn about patient care from supervised interactions with real patients, through regular placements in General Practice surgeries. In year 3 you’ll begin your clinical placements in hospitals located in the west of Greater London and the South East of England.

Brunel Medical School will be awarding a number of Medicine scholarships amounting to 15% of the fee over the duration of the programme.

Our Medicine MBBS is currently only open to students from outside the UK.

The world of medicine is certainly challenging. Our goal at Brunel is to prepare you for your Foundation training, wherever you choose to continue your clinical journey. Specialist advice and guidance regarding your career in medicine will be provided, as well as support when applying for your Foundation training.

During primary care placements, in my first term, I really enjoyed learning from GPs and visiting patients in their homes, getting to know them as people first, as it reinforced the holistic nature of being in the medical profession.
