Physiotherapy at Brunel provides an evidence-based, contemporary, academic and clinical programme, enabling you to become an excellent clinician wherever you choose to practice in the world. The development of clinical reasoning and clinical skills is underpinned by a strong emphasis on scientific understanding, leadership and communication skills. You’ll be well equipped to deliver high-quality patient-centred care, in ever-changing health and social care settings.

You’ll benefit from hands-on learning and excellent, evidence-based teaching throughout your course. A focus on health promotion will encourage you to think long-term, and recognise the role physiotherapists play to empower people to improve their long-term health. Our academic team have a wide range of experience – in fact, it’s one of the largest in the UK. You’ll learn from academics currently practising in hospitals, so you’ll gain relevant and effective knowledge that keeps up with the pace of this progressive sector. We have great links with some of the most highly regarded health providers in London, so you’ll add over 1,000 hours of exceptional clinical placement experiences to your CV.

Careers and your future

On completion, you’ll be eligible to apply for registration as a physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

If you’re an international student wishing to work in your home country, we’ll provide support and assistance to help you register with your national registration board.

Once registered, you can begin to build your career in this varied and exciting profession to physically transform lives.

I love the fact that the course doesn’t involve just lectures. I also have fun practical sessions with my tutorial group where we get to consolidate the vast amounts of information from the lectures through hands-on learning. It helps that we have incredibly approachable lecturers who’ll help you with anything.
