NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
September has been a stressful month for me as a senior. I approached my last year with an optimistic but unrealistic view thinking that it will be a smooth year with less work. It hit me when every single week, I found myself stressing about something big and after completing one big task, I face another that's as big or even bigger. College applications season is extremely hectic and there are times when I feel like I can never get through it. However, I try to keep in mind that everyone has gone through or will go through the same process so I can too! Even with all the work outside of Key Club that I have to take care of, I will always try my best to fulfill my duties as your Bulletin Editor and so will your other execs! My social media is tagged

SECRETARY'S REMARKS
YOUSSEF EL MOSALAMI T
he start of junior year can be very stressful. I know it really was for me! You really wanted to be your best self in your classes and increase your grades. But, once you get back into the routine and the excitement on the first day of what old friends would be in your classes, that joy can never be replaced. I knew from the first day how amazing junior year will be and I hope now it will continue to be!

WEBMASTER'S REMARKS
JACKIE FANG S
eptember was an exciting month for me because I was returning to school for my final year of high school. It was also very exhausting for me as I was juggling around my college admission obligations with my regular school work, and my own personal life. Seeing all of my friends again was what made it enjoyable, and I continue to look forward to whatever shenanigans or fortunes the future holds for me!

EVENTS
This is my second time volunteering at this event. This time, other than painting benches, we cut down dead branches/leaves and poison ivy to keep the trees healthy. I met the same people I was with last time I was there, and had fun. We went from seeing a bunch of dead trees to a nice view of the silver lake. The process was tiring and hard, but the pizza was worth it. In the end, we took photos and someone had to cart the leftover pizza home, it was one of us! RICKY KE

THE CHINESE MIDAUTUMN FESTIVAL 2018 13
The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival was an amazing experience. Helping out at festivals is always fun!! I got to help set up the dragon for the festival with my friends, and I fulfilled my dream of being a Kool Kid™. We didn’t stay long enough to do much else with the dragon, but I saw other people walking around in character costumes and helping around with setting the whole thing up, and I felt really great that I was helping out with this festival. I think lot of the kids walking past looked excited even though we didn’t even start yet, which made me feel really great. ELLEN SETO

The event was fun and heartwarming. It was meant to raise money to fund the non-profit organization called Novel Girls which was started by my fellow techies; the organization is meant to help send books to girls around the globe which is why I support the cause! It was fun because it was my first time singing in a shop and I'm glad it was Barnes and Nobles because I've always liked the atmosphere of book stores. As a volunteer, I helped set up the kid's bookmark making stations and helped advertise for the cause by holding a poster outside the store. MARIAE JULIA ROBIS

Hey engineers! The month of September has been a slow transition for the all of us, including me. I know seniors are having quite a difficult time dealing with college applications and dealing with choosing colleges to apply to and more. For my case, I’m struggling along with all my peers with everything but especially on choosing where to call home for the next 4 or so years of my life. The advice I can give to you all is that no matter where you end up, it’s never permanent and life is full of trial and errors and you’ll end up where you belong naturally! Speaking of naturally, we just had our September Divisional! It was a lot of fun and I’m hoping I’ll see more of my brooklyn tech kids at my october one, coming up on October 23rd at Midwood High school at 5pm! I’m super excited to update you guys on division updates and watching each club shine their unique qualities. Thanks for coming to events and spending your precious time volunteering and I look forward to meeting all 300 of you!
