Welcome Dear Parent, Welcome to the Summer of 2016! The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer a variety of full day and half day summer camps that provide safe and welcoming environments along with nonstop fun and unforgettable experiences. This year, our summer theme is Go for Gold, in honor of the 2016 Olympic Games which inspire and motivate people around the world to always do their best. The Parks and Recreation Staff is committed to reaching for the stars and encouraging campers to do the same through innovative programming that offers new experiences and encourages imagination and adventure. Summer Daze camps are full-day youth programs for ages 5-14. Our experienced staff creates innovative programming that keeps kids active and exploring new interests. Weekly activities include art, cooking, science, games, sports, swimming, field trips or surprise guests, special events, and more!

Summer Daze Registration Steps to Register Online (Burbank Residents Only) 1 Register for a Lottery Number March 7 - 25
Lottery tickets will be available at McCambridge Recreation Center and Verdugo Recreation Center. Bring a copy of your child’s school report card/progress report, birth certificate, and a copy of a current utility bill.
2 Look for Your Online Registration Start Time Starting March 30
Check your email and/or the Parks and Recreation website at www.burbankca.gov/camps for your online registration start time. Call McCambridge at 818-238-5378 or Verdugo at 818-238-5390 if you are unsure of your registration start time.
3 Verify Your E-TRAK PLUS Account
Log on to your E-Trak Plus account to verify that your user name and password are working correctly. Make sure your child’s name is listed as a family member on your account. Call 818-238-5378 or 818-238-5390 if you don’t see your child’s name or are unable to log on.
4 Register Online April 11-15
Be prepared to register by having a complete list of which sessions you would like to register for and if you need extended care. Register online at www.burbankparks.com beginning at your designated start time. Please note online registration concludes at 9pm on Friday, April 15.
Open Registration for non-residents and Burbank residents without a lottery ticket will begin April 19 at McCambridge and Verdugo. HAVING TROUBLE REGISTERING ONLINE? Contact McCambridge Recreation Center at 818-238-5378 for assistance. Customer service will be available beginning at 7am on April 11, 12, and 13. After that, assistance will be available during normal business hours of 9am – 9:30pm.
PAYMENT PROCESS Please note a $50.00 deposit per session is required at the time of registration. VISA and MasterCard accepted. A two week notice is required to receive refunds of camp deposits or transfer sessions. NOTE: A $10.00 refund fee will be assessed for all refunds. Remaining balances for camp sessions are due the Monday PRIOR to the start of the specific camp session.

Ages 3.25-5 Mon-Fri 9 AM - 1 PM $85 Per Session [$70 for Session 5] *Non-Residents Add $5 Per Session Tot Camp is designed for children 3.25-5 years old entering Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten in August 2016. Recreational activities in a classroom setting include arts, crafts, sports, music, games, science, nature, reading time, and weekly special events. Daily snack is provided. Campers will need to bring a lunch every day. All classes are drop-off activities. Parents are welcome to wait in the center, outside the classroom. All campers must be potty-trained and able to use the restroom unassisted.

Art Experiences is a unique half day camp that offers a rotating schedule of one hour workshops comprised of art, dance, music, and theatre. Campers must bring their own snack and drink every day. 5 year old participants must provide a copy of a school progress report indicating enrollment in Kindergarten or above during the 2015-16 school year.

The Little Rangers Club (Age 3-5) and the Verdugo Mountain Explorers (Age 6-10) will participate in nature hikes, crafts, science experiments and nature related activities. Campers will learn about local animals, plants, maps, telescopes, and much more. A snack is provided daily along with a weekly souvenir. Notification of withdrawal must be given a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the session start date. Notification given less than two (2) weeks prior to the session start date will result in a 50% refund for each camp session. A refund will not be issued after the session begins. In the event that a session is cancelled by the Parks and Recreation Department, a full refund will be issued.
