Message from the President of Khon Kaen University Preserving and nourishing art and culture is an important mission for Khon Kaen University. The KKU arts gallery is a project that has been undertaken by the Office of Art and Culture for more than a decade. The so called “ASEAN Art Exhibition” was originally initiated by Princess Galayani Vadhana Institute of Cultural Studies. In 2014 this ASEAN Art Exhibition becomes a collaborative work between PSU and KKU according to an agreement stated in the MOU signed in the year 2013. The exhibition will be conducted by both institutions and I am confident that this will be beneficial to students, staff, artists and others. In addition, the activity is also part of Khon Kaen University’s 50 years of social devotion. On behalf of Khon Kaen University, I would like to express my sincere thanks for those who made the ASEAN Art Exhibition possible.
(Assoc. Prof. Dr.Kittichai Triratanasirichai) President of Khon Kaen University

Message from President Prince of Songkla University Prince of Songkla University has a crucial mission of preserving art and culture. The preservation is administered by Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Cultural Studies. Contemporary exhibitions of arts and culture were initiated in 2004 and there has been constant contribution from artists both local and from overseas, lasting for a decade. In 2014, Prince of Songkla University with collaboration from KhonKaen University organized the 3rd ASEAN Art Exhibition. This event was considered an auspicious cooperation in establishing networks between artists of the South East Asian region as well as strong foothold and inspiration for young people, school and university students who are developing into artists. The exhibition granted artists platforms to present their works and encouraged reciprocal feedback within themselves. On behalf of Prince of Songkla University, I would like to express my gratitude to KhonKaen University and all artists who have lent their hands in the supporting of the 3rd ASEAN Art Exhibition. I remain hopeful that activities of this fashion be continuously organized.
(Assoc. Prof.Dr.Chusak Limsakul) President of Prince of Songkla University

Message from Vice-President Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus The Pattani Campus of Prince of Songkla University houses the Southern Region Arts and Cultural Center, which is administered by Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Cultural Studies. The center has preserved arts and culture as well as organized artistic exhibitions for more than 3 decades and 1 decade respectively. These activities reflect the ambitions of the arts and cultural center in incessant developing, supporting, and promoting artistic works of students from the faculties of Fine and Applied Arts and Education who specialize in the sub-disciplines of Applied Arts, Visual Arts, and Educational Arts. Artists from both local regions and neighboring countries have honored the Southern Region Arts and Cultural Center by displaying their works of art on a frequent basis. As of present, our artist database has expanded throughout the ASEAN region. It is a propitious opportunity for Prince of Songkla University to be able to host the 3rd ASEAN Art Exhibition in conjunction with Khon Kaen University. We are most pleased and hope that this collaboration will lead to a firm footstep in preserving ASEAN artistic values in the future. On behalf of Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, I would like to thank all groups of people, staff and faculty members as well as artists who made this exhibition possible and I wish all of you the best in promoting art to the society.
(Asst. Prof. Sompong Thongpong) Vice-President of Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus 7
Message from Assistant for Art and Culture Affairs to the President of Khon Kaen University The Office of Art and Culture administers many functions in preserving and nourishing art and culture together with our network from both outside and inside of KKU. The ASEAN art exhibition, which will be held at PSU in July and at KKU in August 2014, is just one of many activities, in which both institutions play an integral part. The cooperation of the two Universities allows audiences, not only to learn the differences of art between the south and the northeast of Thailand, but also among the ASEAN nations. I would like to thank staff from both institutions and our network for making this event possible.
(Asst. Prof. Dr.Rakpong Petkam) Assistant for Art and Culture to the President / Deputy Director for the Office of Art and Culture Khon Kaen University
