CIRCUIT Indian summer in the land of the midnight sun Countries of endless wilderness where man has grown respecting the majestic nature: Sweden and Norway stretch over 14 million square km. This huge territory is divided into a multitude of amazing landscapes that send an invitation to contemplation. In the North, in the less populated area, awaits the North Cape: the Grail of the traveller, with its arctic landscapes bathed in a surreal light. However, the Grail is only the ultimate reward of a journey already rich in pleasures. 3 Seasons invites you to ride in our footsteps and attempt the adventure with a journey to the edge of northern Europe.
It is in December and January, when the days grow shorter, that Europe lights up with decorations during the holiday season. Christmas for some, St Nicolas or Epiphany for others, from December 6 to January 6, traditional festivals enliven the calendar throughout the continent. The opportunity to take the motorhome out of its over wintering to go and taste the sweet pleasures of German Christmas markets or to celebrate the Epiphany on the shores of the Costa del Sol. 3 Seasons offers an overview of the festivities and recommend some places to stay.
DESTINATION Auvergne, soil of water and fire Those of us whose work requires traveling thousands of miles agree: Motorways are a wonderful invention. However, if they enable us to link two places far apart in just a few hours, it is sometimes at the detriment of the regions situated on the journey. Thus, in seeking to reach the Mediterranean coast, one often merely discover the Auvergne as we observe a landscape from a train at high speed. And this is a shame. It is necessary to know how to leave the main roads and from the onslaught of this piece of France that modernity just travels through, without stopping. A region which, as an "old piece of furniture banished in a mansard, was permeated with the smell of the attic, old time, and dream of smoke" as the writer Alexander.Vialatte1 described Auvergne.

It was better before…
Not long ago, as I was taking a step nearer to my 40th, I answered to some girl friend of mine, surprised by my age, that what is important is to be young at heart. I think that I stopped counting the years after university as I always felt like a teenager. At some point I felt surprised to be called “Mister” by young people who never saw “Raiders of the lost Ark” at the movie theatre. According to the chameleon technique, I always followed the fashion trend of the youngest generations by playing video games with my niece or by following them at the cinema to see the last opus of Harry Potter. But finally, age catch you up. When my niece asked me if Strawberry Fields was the music of the advertisement of a mobile operator, I could not contain a shriek before teaching her (as pedagogically and boringly as possible as I saw her face) who were The Beatles. As I was trying to point out my explanation by « we have never made anything as well as they did », I realized that I was almost turning 40 and that I was made for listening the Rolling Stones or David Bowie but not Rihanna or Lady Gaga. As I am trying to teach to my nieces that we have never made something better than Vertigo, from Alfred Hitchcock or Sergeant Pepper, I have to admit that in some other cases; nostalgia helps me defend other things. Those who have recently seen the achievement of the sportsmen of their younger years know what I mean. Compared to our actual athletes, the France-Brazil match of 1984, who made us dream at the time, is now closer to a friendly match between two district teams after a rough night on the 14th of July.

Regarding this subject the Camping Cheque network is always aiming to improve, just like the excellent restaurants, to which we dedicate an article in this issue. With our coordinators, who travel all over Europe in order to supplement the guide 2012 with new addresses, there is no chance for you to say « It was better before ».

Some campsites have asked me to pay a deposit when I booked a pitch. As a Gold Card holder, and as such an electronic cheques user, I must pay my deposit with paper cheques. This solution is not very convenient and this does not give me the right number of loyalty points I should receive. 3 Seasons / Camping Cheque answer In 2012, you will be allowed to pay your deposits with electronic camping cheques. As a matter of fact, a simple programme will allow the campsites to debit your Gold Card, from a distance and with your agreement, of the number of camping cheque necessary to pay the deposit. The loyalty points will be then credited to your fidelity account.
”How does it work with the loyalty points? How are they credited and how is it possible to use them? ”
3 Seasons / Camping Cheque answer When you pay with your Gold Card, loyalty points are automatically credited: 1 camping cheque = 1 point. You also benefit from bonuses: 6=7 and 11 = 14! For 6 cheques used, you will receive 7 loyalty points and for 11 cheques used, you will receive 14 points! You can check your loyalty point balance when you get connected to your Gold Card account on the Internet site campingcheque.com Then you have the possibility: - To transform your loyalty points onto reduction for your next Gold Card subscription, and even a free renewal of your subscription with 70 points. - To “buy” some items in the Camping Cheque store, available on our Website. - To benefit from 1 free camping cheque with 50 points. You can contact directly the Customer Relation Department at the following number 00 333 59 59 03 59.

In Autumn, come and discover Denmark As a result of its location in northern continental Europe, we would sometimes tend to see Denmark as a peninsula prolonging the German territory towards the sea It would be wrong. This small country (43,000 km2) has a culture of its very own, looking more to its neighbors Sweden and Norway than towards the south. Fully determined to show you the different faces of their country, several campsites in the network have set up a rally of one week across the country.
This tour will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of the country: Jutland, Funen Island and even Seeland. Your visits will be shared between unaccompanied visits (do not miss Odense, the birthplace of HC Andersen) and guided tours. In Copenhagen, you will appreciate in particular a bus tour the most beautiful sites of the Danish capital, such as the Amalienborg Castle and the Little Mermaid and a harbor tour by boat with English speaking guide. In your footsteps, you will be greeted by campsites Mitte (p. 374 of the guide 2011), Nordsø (p. 356), Bøsøre (p. 365) and Absalon (p. 369). According to the program you will have the opportunity to enjoy a dinner, a welcome or departure drink, and
above all, enjoy excellent facilities (indoor pool area, sauna, spa, etc.).. If Denmark does not have the natural attractions of its two great neighbors to the north, it hides in the heart of bucolic landscapes where thousands of miles of bike paths roam, many treasures your guide will unwrap for you in this circuit .
(registration no later than April 20th, 2012). To register or obtain a detailed program: peer@campingferie.dk.
The fee for this rally is € 495 for two. It includes six nights, a guide (English and Danish) the entire time, the drinks on welcome and departure, a visit to Copenhagen (bus and boat), lunch in Copenhagen or dinner. Three dates are available: from 16th to 21st of October 2011 (registration deadline September 15th, 2011), from 15th to 20th of April 2012 (registration no later than March 15th, 2012) and 20th to 25th of May 2012

In this issue, we will list a choice of French, Italian and Spanish campsites’ restaurants. We will then propose to you a list of restaurants in the other European campsites in our next issue of the 3 Seasons.

At the heart of the Black Perigord 3 Seasons takes you on a discovery of the campsite La Fage, a 4 stars small family campsite, located at the heart of the Black Perigord. To open up its own campsite is the dream of many campers. If you are going to turn this dream into reality, you might as well do it in an area that you love. That was the chain of thoughts of Patrick and Agnès Dubois when they decided to leave the area of Picardie and to come and set up camp in the Black Périgord, an area that they knew well as they use to come camping regularly here for years. So 10 years ago, they took over a small campsite created 15 years earlier in La Fage. ‘It was love at first sight” admits Patrick. “We were swept off our feet by the landmark of the campsite which leaves the upper hand to pure camping. » A campsite nested on a wooded hill that has, apart from its setting, the advantage of being ideally located, close to the main sites of the Black Périgord: Sarlat (17 km), Lascaux (7km) or even the gardens of the Eyrignac Castle (12 km). After renovating the swimming pool and building a brand new sanitary block, Patrick and Agnes equipped the site with levelled pitches to be able to welcome
motor homes as well as « great comfort » pitches (100 m2, 10 A, water, drainage system), with special thoughts for off season periods. With 60 pitches, La Fage is a family campsite where Patrick is at the reception desk and Agnès looks after the restaurant where of course she offers menus périgourdins with locals specialities such as, confis, duck terrine, or walnut tart. Actually, it is this owners’ involvement, the campsite human size and the quality of the welcome that is voted overwhelmingly in favor by the customers of La Fage. To prove this, check out the excellent grades received by this campsite on the Camping Cheque website and the many campers that keep coming back every summer. n The + - Half nocturnal guided walks from the campsite every Thursdays in July and August - a campsite on a human scale
With its elegant medieval buildings of blond rock and honey, Sarlat is the jewel of Perigord and undoubtedly one of the prettiest towns in France. www.sarlat-tourisme.com

Camping de Wildhoeve A Nature Haven in the heart of the Veluwe For the past 50 years, the campsite de Wildhoeve has welcomed campers in the heart of the wooden region of the Veluwe. 3 Seasons invites you for a walk in its paths. Created in 1954, the campsite de Wildhoeve has become a family enterprise in 1971, when bought by the family Van der Kaaden. At that time, the campsite was not able to offer the comfort of today’s facilities like the indoor swimming-pool with waterslide, the outdoor pool, the modern sanitary facilities with special spaces made for children, the store, or also the pub. The campsite has been managed, during 30 years by Karen Van Der Kaaden’s parents, who passed it on to their daughter in 2000. She is today seconded by René Zweers and they are working hard to keep on improving the quality of the services, in the same spirit as always, but they keep a particular concern about the environment. The numerous awards received are the witnesses of their success: Golden Green Key, Superplatz of ADAC, Eurotopcamping ANWB, etc... Its fame is also due to the
clients who appreciate in particular the swimming-pool with new water games, the greenery environment favourable to camp in harmony with nature and all the possibilities of cycling paths offering wonderful views of wild animals (stags, deers…). And if you still need one more reason to go camping in the region of the Veluwe, the Wildhoeve campsite’s restaurant has just been integrated in the guide “Euro-Toques” which focuses on restaurants preserving cooking traditions by using local products. n

When you are the first commercial harbour of Europe, and the third in the world, you can self celebrate once a year. That is what Rotterdam allows itself to do at the beginning of September with 3 days of feast to honour its harbour. Boat trips, concerts, entertainments for children or demonstrations are part of the programme of the event, the Wereldhavendagen, which will be held on September, 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2011.

However, with almost 430 millions of merchandises treated in 2010, the harbour keeps easily its first place in Europe. Proud of its economic role in the European scale, thanks to its maritime activity, the city of Rotterdam has decided to celebrate its harbour once a year, at the beginning of September, during Wereldhavendagen (World Harbour Days). During three days, the harbour becomes a place of festivities with numerous entertainments such as boat

trips, educative activities, concerts or visits of places usually closed to public. If the huge harbour area is visible to everybody, from a distance, it is, however, difficult to access and to circulate quietly. Its daily activity remains a mystery to everyone. The 3 days of the Wereldhavendagen is the occasion to invite the population to discover its working way. Demonstrations are set down by different companies, working in the harbour, and several boats of the harbour authorities are open to inquisitive people. Also, guided visits are organized in English and Dutch. If you are passionate or not by the maritime world and the life in the
commercial harbours, the 3 days of the feast of the Wereldhavendagen are a chance to plunge into a fascinating world but also participate to several entertainments which are held in Rotterdam during the whole weekend; punctuated by fireworks on the Saturday evening. n

On this richness, the Auvergne has developed significant spa tourism around names such as La Bourboule, Chaudes-Aigues or St. Nectaire. However, the most famous spa resort of Auvergne remains, undoubtedly Vichy This small town on the banks of the Allier has, through its spa heritage of the late 19th century and its great parks, the quaint charm of the great cities of water. he Auvergne gets its appearance from the volcanoes that have designed much of its landscape. Unalterable, these mountains with rounded peaks or cliffs keep watch on the region for millions of years. They spread from the West between Clermont-Ferrand and Aurillac. One hundred volcanoes are spread, from north to south, between the Puys, Monts Dore and Monts du Cantal. This spectacular volcanic group makes up the largest regional park in France. The landscapes change according to the age
of volcanoes that range from 100,000 years for the youngest to 20 million years for the oldest. Emblematic figure of the park, Puy de Dome is the highest peak in the chain of Puys (1465 m). From his bare skull, hikers enjoy an exceptional view of surrounding volcanoes, sometimes rounded, and sometimes hollowed with huge craters. When the weather is mild, it is even possible to see the Mont Blanc. A panorama that has nothing to envy to the one offered from the Puy de Sancy, the highest point in central n n n

The thick ice sheet (over 100 meters thick) that covered the region in the Quaternary Period dug deep valleys and lakes that gave birth to what still characterize it today. Thus, around each bend, we discover, in the lush green mountains, crystal clear lakes like the Lake of Chambon or Lake Pavin which in fine weather, transform themselves with recreational areas with bathing beaches and multiple opportunities for water sports If the main attractions of Auvergne are born from nature and the joint work of water and fire, mankind also marked the area of its footprint with several major architectural landmarks first and foremost being the Puy-en-Velay. It is at the border between Sweden and Norway as the main mountain ranges rising from Scandinavia form a succession of high plateaus dominated by several peaks (some of which reach the 2500 meters). These are covered with glaciers, not because of their height but because of their northern latitude. These mountains collapse rapidly to form the plains on the eastern slope of Sweden (except in the far north of Sweden), then the foothills make up a much more varied terrain on the Norwegian side. The Winter Olympics of 1994 in Lillehammer highlighted the beauty of the Norwegian mountains. Among the most spectacular sites in this part of Norway, one will retain the Valley Gudbrandsdal which outlines over more than 200 km the deep furrow from the mountains. A shore made of lace From Göteborg to the Norwegian border, the west coast of Sweden is torn in a multitude of small islands and numerous rocks of greater or lesser size that make up the archipelago of Bohuslän. The line of ridges is dotted with colourful fishing villages. The islands (very popular with nesting birds and therefore birdwatchers) are accessible, for some, by bridges and other by ferries. One of the finest views on the shores of Bohuslän is accessible from the entrance to the island of Tjörn, just after passing through the 5 km bridge. The Bohuslän has a superb archaeological site with rock carvings in Tanum (1500-500 BC). Its slopes are traversed by mountain torrents which, from time to time, turn into waterfalls. Strolling around the river widens to become a chain of lakes. Norway has over 2500 km of coastline (83 000 km if one takes into account the islands!) most of which is cut out in fjords. Without specificity, Norwegian Fjord is however a national specialty. The word is also of Norwegian origin and refers to these arms of the sea: long and narrow which penetrate inland. If there are fjords in other parts of the world, their quantity and size make it an emblematic landscape of the country. If we admire many over the south coast, particularly in Oslo which nestles at the bottom of one of them, the most impressive are on the Atlantic coast. We remain speechless indeed in front of the wonders of nature that are the Sognefjord (the longest, with its 205 km) and the Geirangerfjord at the bottom of which lies the town of Geiranger. This is probably the most beautiful fjords in the country and the most beautiful views one can admire lie along the route of the Eagles, a scenic route that climbs to 620 meters. It traces its journey from west to east almost to the bottom of the massif of Jotunheimen where one can find the highest peaks in Norway. In some areas the depth reaches 1300 meters. If it is as a whole relatively large, some of its arms such as Naerofjord are particularly narrow. Toulouse, the « pink town » owes its name from the brick used in most of the buildings in the town centre. Despite a long history dating back to Roman times and an old town perfectly preserved, this festive city is one of the youngest and most dynamic of france. Toulouse looks toward the future with its significant university and its thriving aerospace industry. 3 Seasons invites you on the east bank of the Garonne River to discover the extraordinary heritage of a city bathed in the sweetness of life.

The banks of the Canal du Midi are a breath of fresh air and greenery in the heart of the city, offering nice walking paths by feet or by bicycle. The refined architecture of the convent of the Jacobins, entirely made of bricks in 13th and 14th centuries, reveals a real contrast with the outside austerity of the monument.

Toulouse oulouse has always, since ancient times, held an important place in the region. Its role was never questioned, despite the Catharsis episode which brought some years of unrest in the south western area of France. In the 3rd century it was a turntable of wine trading. The alluvial plain of the Garonne being poor in stone, but capable of providing an abundance of brick, it was then that the Romans taught the inhabitants of Toulouse (Tolosa under the Romans) the technique of brick and tile which then gave its seal so specific to the city. This influence is still very present today in the historic city of Toulouse, whose brick facades of Italian influence are tinted, depending on the light of day, red, pink or purple. It is primarily in districts that stretch around the Capitol Square, the heart of life in Toulouse, that this style asserts itself. The place takes its name from the Capitol, the
City hall today in Toulouse, which spreads over the eastern side. This building, 128 meters long, wears the colors of the city with a mixture of brick, stone and pink marble. Besides the Capitol, one of the particularities of Toulouse is the many private town houses dating back to the 16th century. They are spread according to the pedestrian streets lined with shops and restaurants and hide, like secrets, beautiful courtyards. Some are open all year round but others are visible only at certain occasions such as Heritage Days (17-18th September 2011). The best example is undoubtedly the Town House d'Assezat built in the mid-16th century by Nicolas Bachelier, Toulouse famous architect. It is however one of the main jewels of a crown that bears many, Toulouse is actually the largest city in France with biggest numbers of private hotels dating back to the Renaissance. n n n

Canal du Midi In addition to the Garonne, which divides the city into two, the Canal du Midi runs through Toulouse. This canal links the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean and is listed in the World Heritage of UNESCO. It is the oldest canal in Europe still running. Its banks are equipped for walks.
City of space Toulouse has taken throughout the 20th century, an increasing and important sector of the European aerospace field. With the Airbus factories, the city built the largest airline plane in the world and here are assembled the satellites that the rocket Ariane takes in outer space. Thus it is obvious that the city would have a museum dedicated to Space. The Space City is organized around three areas: a planetarium with 3D simulations including a room devoted to the exploration of Mars, a park with, among other things, a scale model of the Ariane rocket and several exhibition rooms dedicated to different themes www.cite-espace.com

n n n Besides these breath taking examples of civil architecture, the eastern bank of the Garonne is also home to some very beautiful examples of religious architecture. The Basilica of St Sernin is the most emblematic of these monuments. It is the largest Roman church in Europe and one of the finest. Following the many gifts of relics from Charlemagne, this church became a major stop over on the road to Santiago de Compostela and had to expand to accommodate the pilgrims. Other beautiful religious monuments are spread throughout the old town but the finest are the Cathedral of St. Etienne and the convent of the Jacobins. The first is an architectural wonder, especially compared with the unity of St Sernin. It was built over several centuries between the 13th and 17th centuries, thus mixing highly disparate styles. It stands in the antique and great jewellers districts. Every Saturday morning there is a very enjoyable book market taking place. Made entirely of bricks in the 13th and 14th centuries, the
convent of the Jacobins bears a superb example of Gothic art typical of Languedoc with a beautiful church, a monastery or even a chapel. The church now houses the relics of St Thomas Aquinas, a great figure in the monastic world. Even if the most interesting areas of Toulouse are on the east bank of the Garonne, between St Etienne and St Sernin and the Canal du Midi, from the other side you can admire the towers which spike the city and stand out against the blue sky. A sight that is particularly appreciated when the sun goes down and wraps his glowing light on these brick buildings: once again justifying the nickname of the Pink City. n

A brand new campsite on the coast of Brittany You can find many reasons to open a campsite. But for Arnaud Blanchard and his wife, the strong will to leave Paris and their career in the industry field, helped them to make the decision to come back to Brittany, their birth region, in order to create a campsite. They found 4.5 hectares (11119 acres), close to their family farm, on the Côte de Granit Rose (Pink Granit Coast), in the northern part of the Brittany peninsula. They fell in love with the site and decided to begin the adventure of Les Alizés. They began from scratch, building a campsite of 56 pitches and added to it, during the second year, a very nice indoor swimmingpool. Four years later, the Kawan Village Les Alizés is proud to propose 120 pitches and is now graded as a 3-star campsite according to the new French norms. Upcoming next summer, the campsite will build a restaurant (proposing snacks, bar, pizzeria…) offering more comfort to the campers who already enjoy the aquatic
area equipped with waterslides and many other water games for children. All the ingredients are combined to make you spend wonderful holidays on this nice campsite, whose advantage remains its location on the Côte de Granit Rose; only a few minutes from the Perros-Guirec holiday resort. n

Camping Monte Holiday A charming green spot in the North of Madrid The campsite Monte Holiday at the footstep of the Regional Park of Sierra de Guadarrama, an hour drive from Madrid, benefits from a verdant landscape, in the heart of the mountains. Interview with its owner. 3 Seasons : How did the campsite Monte Holiday began? Antonio Gonzalo: The campsite was built in 1990. After travelling across all of Europe, my parents decided to open a campsite on an old family site in the North of Madrid. I was over in Africa, visiting by car for a few months, when my father announced to me that he wanted to retire, that was 3 years ago. I came back to Spain and began to run the campsite. I made some changes, for example a very good restaurant and I plan to build a spa and to heat the swimmingpool with a biomass boiler. 3 Seasons: What does the clients like on the campsite? Antonio Gonzalo: The major point is the location. We are one hour away from Madrid in a nature site. From the campsite, the customers can admire the mountains, enjoy a drink on the
terrace of the bar and reach Madrid in a few minutes. Our clients also like to visit cities like Burgos or Segovia. 3 Seasons: What is the best season to come and visit Monte Holiday? Antonio Gonzalo: It depends on what we come for. In winter, ski slopes are close to the campsite but we mainly receive customers in spring, summer and autumn, when people wish to visit the cities and make hiking or mountain biking. n

S P E C I A L R E P O R T Christmas and New Year S eason
Spain The arrival of the Magi The Epiphany traditionally takes place on January 6th. In Latin culture, the religious holiday celebrates the visit of the three Magi, Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar to the new-born Jesus. In the Byzantine tradition (Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia), it commemorates Christ's baptism in the Jordan. While in some countries, like France, the Epiphany is "just" an opportunity to meet with friends over a cake, in other parts of Europe it is a much larger party. So, January 6th is a holiday in several countries (Italy, Spain, Greece, parts of Germany, Austria, parts of Switzerland, Sweden, and Finland). For a long time the Epiphany was a very important festival before being gradually supplanted by Christmas, however, it remains very popular in some places. In Spain, it is the Three Kings who bring gifts to children for the Epiphany and the evening sees the streets of Spanish cities gaining colors in various parades while we relish the cake of the season, Roscón de Reyes.

France Christmas and St Nicolas in Alsace In France that celebrates mainly Christmas, Alsace and Lorraine are the exception. Here we celebrate the patron saint of schoolchildren as well as Santa. It is with warm milk and mannala (little man in Alsatian), a regional brioche, which is home to the saint. Dressed as a bishop, cross in hand, and a long white beard, he goes from village to village with his donkey to reward good children with sweets, gingerbread and clementines. He is joined by the "Hans Trapp" that threatens to put the children that were not well behaved in his bag. But all children are well behaved as we approach Christmas... The St Nicolas is the beginning of end of year festivities. For several weeks, towns and villages in the region lightens up with the colours of Christmas markets, whether in large cities (Strasbourg, in particular, where the market goes back to 1570, has the oldest Christmas market in France) or in the villages. In addition to these markets, various events take place during this festival (concerts, wine tasting in wine cellars, exhibitions, etc.). One should particularly appreciate the night walks and the torch or lantern walks that can delve into the Christmas magic. These festivities usually last until the Epiphany. For further details on the end of the year festivities in Alsace and Lorraine, as well as more detailed diaries of events, you can check out the websites of the departmental committees of Tourism of Alsace and Lorraine: www.tourisme-alsace.com www.tourisme-lorraine.fr

Germany Christmas Markets Tradition The first German Christmas Markets date from 15th century. We then talk about “St Nicholas Markets”. The first written marks on official documents, mention the Market of Dresden then called “Dresdner Striezelmarkt”. We are in 1434. Back in those days, the markets lasted only 2 to 3 days. This phenomenon has increased year after year and has been renamed “Christkindlmarkt”, the Markets of Child Christ. Since this time, the tradition is everlasting and the markets run from the weekend before the Advent until the day after Christmas. On these markets decorated with Christmas colours, you will find artworks and seasonal regional gastronomy. The most famous and the most typical markets of Germany are Berlin, Erfurt, Lübeck, Augsburg and Dresden.

Come back on a Moroccan getaway The first Camping Cheque rally in Morocco took place in April. It was a great success, for the participants, with great moments amongst the magnificent Moroccan landscapes and beautiful encounters. 3 Seasons back in a few pictures on this beautiful journey.
Interview of Michel Sidoti, director of customer relations, accompanying the rally 3 Seasons : How did the rally of Morocco go? M. Sidoti : It was a great human adventure and group. Our participants were an exact representation of all clients of the Camping Cheque network, and, in the opinion of the owners of campsites which have welcomed us, they have formed a perfect group, rich of its eight nationalities. We were very involved in this first a success. We are proud and pleased both with the result, but even more, to know that what has been experienced will remain permanently marked in the memories. We are thinking now of other adventures, to other territories, but we plan to repeat the experience in Morocco next year.

R ALLY Morocco The rally was an opportunity for the participants to discover Morocco and its large stretches of sand where dromedaries wander in amazing colourful landscapes (see on the left and below). Besides discovering a country, the rally has enabled human interactions, offering an excellent atmosphere inside the group. All the participants have got the feeling that they shared precious moments (see opposite) Visits of cities, medina, souks or gardens were all part of the programme and all activities proposed by the owners of the different campsites where the rally stopped by (see below).

What the participants had to say Jacques and Josette : This rally has given us a very different view of what we might consider to see through most tour operators. The trip was amazing by the landscapes passed through and the people encountered. We especially enjoyed the authentic Morocco villages, souks and meetings with Berbers families and the Tuareg people. The crossing of the Middle Atlas, the stay in Erfoud near the desert, the view of the Atlas, the path in the reg close to Mhamid, the night spent in the tents near the sand dunes. All this will leave us with a unique souvenir.
© Michel Sidoti
Guy B. : We were very pleased with the rally as a whole, whether the organization or the guides, Richard and his wife, and Michel. The itinerary, the visits, and the professionalism of guides: everything was perfect. Note for this rally: 18. Hats off to the team of Camping Cheque. We are ready to go back.
