Past the fermented turmeric, past the massage chairs, past the bongs and 1,200 lb. pumpkins, you smell them before you see them. Accompanied by blasts of cold air from bay doors open wide, visitors to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair turn a corner and are greeted by hundreds of cows. They stand waiting in the barns to compete in the Dairy Shows. Anyone is welcome to wander through the area to talk to farmers and ask questions.
