4th Project Newsletter Dear colleagues, friends and partners from all over Europe,

Welcome to our 4th Project Newsletter! It seems like it was only yesterday that we met for the first time in Dresden, Germany. Unbelievably, our fifth meeting – in Bergamo, Italy – is already behind us. As all the previous ones (Dresden, Germany, Erdemli, Turkey, Klaipeda, Lithuania, Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland), this project session was full of creative ideas and fruitful effects. In this newsletter you will find information about the activities we undertook to plan our students’ mobilities and create the Intellectual Output No. 2, which is the Quality Guideline in Mobility Projects in Health and Social Care Professions. During the meeting all partner countries discussed the details of upcoming learners’ mobilities. In the time of forthcoming months, the groups from Poland, Germany and Turkey are going to visit their partners’ institutions to develop specific learning outcomes connected with the health and social care sector. The mobilities planned are as follows: -

-

the Turkish group of students is going to Klaipeda (from 23rd April to 6th May.2017), the unit of learning outcomes to be covered is “Communication and cooperation skills for health and social care workers”, the Polish group of students together with their teacher are going to Italy (from 7th to 21st May), the learning outcome to be developed is “Easy cooking”, the Dutch group of students going to Dresden, Germany (also from 7th to 21st May), the unit of learning outcomes to be developed is “Communication with patients in a foreign language”

We hope that the learning period abroad will be full of successes and effective work and it will motivate more and more students to participate in mobility programmes! After discussing the details of the above-mentioned mobilities, everybody started working on the Quality Guideline, which appears to be an inevitable part of planning learners’ mobilities in general. One of the most interesting ideas of the session was the establishment of the mobility committee – a body of teachers in a hosting and sending institution responsible for specific aspects of the mobility.

Organizational details such as travel bookings, insurance, etc. Selecting participants, establishing a contact person, accompanying the students during the mobility, etc. Curriculum, training plan, language, etc. Quality assurance, validation and recognition, etc. Dissemination, sustainability, etc.

Mobility Committee at the hosting institution Team leader Culture manager Trainer Tutor Quality manager Contact person Quality manager

Organizational details such as accommodation, meals, etc. Organization of cultural/free time activities, etc. Planning the training, assessment, etc. Conducting the training, assisting students, etc. Quality assurance, validation and recognition, etc. Emergency support, etc. Quality assurance, validation and recognition, etc.

We all agreed that setting up the mobility committee seems to be a good starting point for organizing any learners’ mobilities. This idea, as well as everything else connected with steps to be taken before, during and after mobility, is going to be covered in our Quality Guideline. Our three groups (established during the previous meeting) are working very hard to give the finishing touches to this document, and we hope that it will be useful to everyone engaged in students’ mobilities of all kinds. Best wishes Your care4mobility project team

After doing hard work there was eventually some time to relax and enjoy the countryside and local food. We are looking forward to our next meeting, this time in Holland!
