Help us combat invasive species in the parks! To eradicate nonnative species in our parks we are hosting workdays throughout the summer. Last summer our Invasive Species Workday volunteers removed 2,700 gallons of invasive species! These efforts help the overall health of the parks and the ecosystem. CANCELED Be a citizen scientist for a day! You will join a team of volunteers, park staff and local experts to identify as many species as possible in Central Park. Together we will explore Central Park and learn about the many species that live there. Don’t forget your ID books and binoculars, you’ll need them for this day of discovery! POLLINATOR BIOBLITZ

All sorts of pollinators call Central Park home! Our natural resources staff will teach you about local pollinators and the important native species they need to survive. The evening will start with an educational session on iNaturalist and native plants. Then volunteers will be free to roam Central Park and collect data on their own. You won’t want to miss this evening learning and exploration! Ages: All ages • Instructor: CCPR Staff

BIOBLITZ

REGISTER AT

Celebrate National Trails Day by helping restore the Woodland Gardens trail in Central Park! Volunteers will help spread new mulch to restore and maintain the surface of the trail. National Trails Day events are held annually to raise awareness of trail issues and the benefits trails provide, as well as to encourage people to discover their local trails and instill excitement for the outdoors.
