INTERVISTA AD ALBERTO MARTINI

Virtuosi Italiani festeggiano 25 anni di attività: un risultato significativo per un ensemble che vive sostanzialmente delle proprie risorse e che il violinista Alberto Martini guida verso traguardi sempre più internazionali. Maestro, quando con il collega Alberto Ambrosini ha fondato prima I Filarmonici, poi I Virtuosi Italiani, pensava di poter compiere tanta strada?

No certamente. L’Accademia I Filarmonici ha iniziato ad operare nel 1999, quando abbiamo organizzato i primi concerti, senza alcuna esperienza, ma sentivamo forte il desiderio di tentare quella strada. Abbiamo passato momenti molto difficili, perché la gestione di un’orchestra come la nostra non è semplice. Però questi 25 anni sono una realtà che nessuno può toglierci. Ne andiamo orgogliosi e fieri.

Quando è nata l’opportunità di acquisire poi la ragione sociale de I Virtuosi Italiani?

Nel 2007 i proprietari del complesso ci contattarono per ridare vitalità a una realtà che si stava spegnendo. Avevo già fatto parte de I Virtuosi e così abbiamo deciso di tentare l’investimento. Da allora, l’ascesa è stata costante con tour importanti negli Stati Uniti, Giappone, Russia, Paesi Baltici.

Ora stiamo partendo per un tour che ci porterà in Lituania e Polonia. Abbiamo registrato per le più grandi case discografiche e nel 2021 ci è stato assegnato il Diapason d’or de l’année per un cd interamente dedicato a Rossini.

I Virtuosi Italiani hanno suonato con personalità internazionali della musica. Chi di queste ha lasciato una impressione particolare?

Abbiamo collaborato con moltissimi artisti internazionali, da Maisky a Repin, Mintz, Zukerman, dalla Zilberstein alla Pires, per non parlare di Ludovico Einaudi, Paolo Fresu, Uri Caine e in passato anche Chick Corea. Sarebbe difficile quindi dirne uno. Passare dalla musica barocca ad un genere più crossover vi è servito in termini di immagine?

Le nostre scelte artistiche sono sempre state dettate dalla curiosità di esplorare i diversi linguaggi, non per avere più visibilità. La nostra parola d’ordine è sempre: qualità, professionalità, serietà e grande rispetto per la musica. Un atteggiamento tenuto saldo in tutte le situazioni. Certamente una vita frenetica e faticosa per certi versi, ma mi considero un privilegiato perché sempre in mezzo all’arte.

Ci parli anche dell’attività parallela che avete nella Chiesa della Pietà di Venezia, teatro di molta produzione vivaldiana.

La programmazione di Venezia era un altro sogno nel cassetto della mia giovinezza: ebbi la fortuna di suonarci quando a 26 anni ero concertino nell’Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice di Venezia.

Ne rimasi abbagliato. Il mio primo insegnante fu Piero Toso, uno degli interpreti vivaldiani di riferimento. Il mio legame con Antonio Vivaldi è strettissimo. Lo adoro da sempre e lo considero uno degli autori più geniali della storia della musica.

I Virtuosi Italiani are celebrating 25 years of activity: a significant achievement for an ensemble that substantially lives off its own resources and that violinist Alberto Martini is leading towards increasingly international goals.

Master, when you and your colleague Alberto Ambrosini founded first I Filarmonici, then I Virtuosi Italiani, did you think you could go that far?

Certainly not. The Accademia I Filarmonici started in 1999, when we organised our first concerts, without any experience, but we felt a strong desire to try that road. We went through very difficult times, because managing an orchestra like ours is not easy.

But these 25 years are a reality that no one can take away from us. We are proud of it.

When did the opportunity then arise to acquire the company name of I Virtuosi Italiani?

In 2007, the owners of the complex contacted us to restore vitality to a reality that was dying out.

I had already been part of I Virtuosi and so we decided to attempt the investment.

Since then, the rise has been steady with important tours in the US, Japan, Russia, the Baltic States. Now we are leaving for a tour that will take us to Lithuania and Poland. We have recorded for the biggest record companies and in 2021 we were awarded the Diapason d'or de l'année for a CD entirely dedicated to Rossini.

I Virtuosi Italiani have played with international music personalities. Which of these have left a particular impression?

We have collaborated with many international artists, from Maisky to Repin, Mintz, Zukerman, Zilberstein to Pires, not to mention Ludovico Einaudi, Paolo Fresu, Uri Caine, and in the past even Chick Corea.

It would therefore be difficult to name one.

Has moving from baroque music to a more crossover genre helped you in terms of image?

Our artistic choices have always been dictated by our curiosity to explore different languages, not to gain more visibility.

Our watchword has always been: quality, professionalism, seriousness and great respect for music. An attitude maintained in all situations. Certainly a hectic and tiring life in some ways, but I consider myself privileged because I am always in the midst of art.

Tell us also about the parallel activity you have in the Chiesa della Pietà in Venice, the venue for many of Vivaldi's productions.

The Venice programme was another dream in the drawer of my youth: I was lucky enough to play there when I was a concertino in the La Fenice Theatre Orchestra in Venice at the age of 26. I was dazzled. My first teacher was Piero Toso, one of Vivaldi's leading interpreters.

My bond with Antonio Vivaldi is very close. I have always adored him and I consider him one of the most brilliant composers in the history of music.

elle interviste viene sempre rappresentato come un personaggio poliedrico dalle molte passioni, la più grande è forse l’arte, alla quale ha dato voce tramite la Fondazione Dalle Nogare. Sì l’arte è una delle mie passioni, e direi che col tempo è diventata una specie di vocazione. La Fondazione mi permette di condividere con chi ha voglia e interesse questo amore, di conoscere sempre nuove persone che lavorano o gravitano in questo ambito, e quindi di imparare sempre cose nuove. Ho letto che inizialmente questo spazio non era aperto al pubblico, ma un luogo per ospitare gli artisti, che poteva ispirarli e dare sfogo alla loro immaginazione. Cosa l’ha spinta ad aprire la Fondazione al pubblico?

All’inizio pensavo di usare questo spazio per ospitare la collezione e fare qualche progetto con gli artisti, come le opere site-specific che sono state pensate per questo (Dan Graham, Robert Barry) e la residenza di Landon Metz, che abbiamo avuto ospite nel 2014. Poi però ho sentito il desiderio di condividere con una platea più ampia il mio amore per l’arte. Così ho pensato di affiancare all’attività della collezione quella della fondazione, che mi permette anche di collaborare più attivamente con le altre realtà culturali del territorio e del mondo dell’arte. Il contatto diretto con gli artisti, in questo modo, è ancora più articolato e produttivo, coinvolgendoli in progetti con una durata maggiore, arricchiti da un public program volto ad approfondire le loro pratiche, e a coinvolgere una platea sempre più ampia.

INTERVIEW WITH THE FOUNDER ANTONIO DALLE NOGARE

In interviews he is always represented as a multifaceted character with many passions, the greatest perhaps being art, to which he has given voice through the Dalle Nogare Foundation. Yes, art is one of my passions, and I would say that over time it has become a kind of vocation. The Foundation allows me to share this love with those who want and are interested, to always meet new people who work or gravitate in this field, and therefore to always learn new things.

I read that initially this space was not open to the public, but a place to host artists, which could inspire them and give vent to their imagination. What pushed you to open the Foundation to the public?

At the beginning I thought of using this space to host the collection and do some projects with the artists, such as the site-specific works that were designed for this (Dan Graham, Robert Barry) and the Landon Metz residency, which we had as a guest in 2014. But then I felt the desire to share my love for art with a wider audience. So I thought of combining the activity of the collection with that of the foundation, which also allows me to collaborate more actively with other cultural entities in the area and in the art world. Direct contact with the artists, in this way, is even more complex and productive, involving them in projects with a longer duration, enriched by a public program aimed at deepening their practices, and involving an increasingly wider audience.

Qual è l’idea alla base della Fondazione?

L’idea di base è quella di avere un programma espositivo slegato dalla collezione, anche se nel solco di essa. Ovviamente c’è un’affinità tra gli artisti invitati a esporre in fondazione e lo spirito della collezione, profondamente legato alle pratiche concettuali. Da sempre arte e architettura esprimono la società del tempo, quali sono le principali correnti/ mode di questo nostro tempo? E quale invece di presente o passato preferisce?

Come dicevo la mia collezione ha radici nelle pratiche concettuali, nate tra gli anni ’60 e ’70, e questa matrice, per così dire, è quella che plasma anche l’attività della fondazione. Seguiamo con attenzione quello che succede intorno a noi e cerchiamo di comprendere e riflettere, ma non faremo mai cose che non “sentiamo” per seguire mode o per essere politicamente corretti.

Collabora con molti giovani artisti, facendo quasi da mecenate, quale pensa sia il ruolo dei giovani nell’arte di oggi?

Il ruolo dei giovani credo sia quello di portare la sensibilità legata al loro tempo. Quella che i tedeschi chiamano Weltanschauung, visione del mondo, legata a una determinata era, epoca. E noi dobbiamo cercare di comprendere e rispondere alle istanze che questa visione porta con sé.

Collezionista d’arte ed imprenditore edile, quanto l’edilizia ispira le scelte artistiche e quanto l’arte ispira i suoi progetti

Sicuramente cerco di mettere bellezza anche nel mio lavoro, così come metto serietà e professionalità nella gestione della fondazione. A livello formale poi il vecchio less is more vale sia in architettura che nell’arte. Il mio gusto è piuttosto essenziale e asciutto, anche se non privo di poesia e di spiritualità. Il suo artista e l’opera preferiti?

Come dicevo prima il mio amore è l’arte concettuale. Un’arte fatta di poco o niente – come è stata pensata e definita la mostra di David Lamelas, adesso in corso in Fondazione – ma ricca di contenuti, di pensiero, capace di emozionare attraverso il coinvolgimento di mente e spirito.

Idee per il futuro?

Abbiamo in programma due grandi mostre per il 2024, una personale di una grande artista internazionale in Fondazione e una mostra della collezione con alcune delle ultime, felici nuove acquisizioni. Si preannuncia un anno pieno di cose da programmare e fare, speriamo con sempre più persone a condividere la nostra passione e la nostra dedizione per l’arte.

The basic idea is to have an exhibition program unrelated to the collection, even if in its wake. Obviously there is an affinity between the artists invited to exhibit at the foundation and the spirit of the collection, deeply linked to conceptual practices.

Art and architecture have always expressed the society of the time, what are the main currents/fads of our time? And which instead of present or past do you prefer?

As I was saying, my collection has roots in conceptual practices born between the ‘60s and ‘70s, and this matrix, so to speak, is the one that also shapes the foundation’s activity. We carefully follow what happens around us and try to understand and reflect, but we will never do things that we don’t “feel like” to follow trends or to be politically correct.

You collaborate with many young artists, almost acting as a patron, what do you think is the role of young people in today’s art?

I believe the role of young people is to bring the sensitivity linked to their time. What the Germans call Weltanschauung, a vision of the world, linked to a specific era. And we must try to understand and respond to the issues that this vision brings with it.

Art collector and building contractor, how much construction inspires his artistic choices and how much art inspires his projects

I certainly try to put beauty into my work too, just as I put seriousness and professionalism into the management of the foundation. On a formal level then the old less is more applies both in architecture and in art. My taste is rather essential and dry, although not devoid of poetry and spirituality.

Your favorite artist and work?

As I said before, my love is conceptual art. An art made

of little or nothing - as the David Lamelas exhibition, now underway at the Foundation, was conceived and defined - but rich in content, in thought, capable of exciting through the involvement of mind and spirit. Ideas for the future?

We have two major exhibitions planned for 2024, a solo exhibition of a great international artist at the Foundation and an exhibition of the collection with some of the latest, happy new acquisitions. It promises to be a year full of things to plan and do, hopefully with more and more people sharing our passion and dedication for art.

What is the idea behind the Foundation?

vete presente quei film fantascientifici dove ricercatori agiscono con le mani su enormi schermi trasparenti, effettuando anche interventi medici di precisione a distanza? Ecco, parlando col professore Perazzini, responsabile dell'unità funzionale di ortopedia e traumatologia alla Clinica San Francesco di Verona, sembra proprio che ormai siamo in quella direzione, realtà virtuale, intelligenza artificiale, che le operazioni protesiche siano ad una svolta epocale con l'utilizzo di robot guidati da medici specializzati. Il robot in questione si chiama MAKO (nome dello squalo che vive nei mari della Florida, infatti il logo è rappresentato da una pinna): dopo una tac pre-operatoria i dati del paziente vengono memorizzati a computer ed il chirurgo pianifica a video che tipo

di intervento il braccio robotico deve effettuare per ottenere risultati personalizzati e della massima precisione nel posizionare la protesi. Precisione al millimetro.

Sono interventi poco invasivi, niente sangue, della durata di un'ora, con controllo successivo a distanza per seguire l'andamento post operatorio. Tutti i parametri vengono memorizzati per fare confronti e condividere. Siamo ad un altissimo livello con risultati eccellenti, che garantiscono un recupero velocissimo del paziente, quasi senza bisogno di riabilitazione in alcuni casi, che nel giro di qualche giorno (a volte anche nella stessa giornata) può riprendere le sue attività e la sua vita normale, cosa addirittura impensabile fino a qualche anno fa.

“Quando ho portato in Italia questa tecnologia all'avanguardia nel 2011 dagli Stati Uniti” spiega il dottor Perazzini, determinando il primato italiano di implantologia con MAKO, “mi hanno duramente attaccato, quasi avessi proposto interventi extraterrestri. Si è visto, invece, che questa tecnologia è molto precisa e sempre più perfezionata ora grazie all'esperienza di più di tredici anni”. Questa metodologia è stata presentata da Perazzini in numerosissime pubblicazioni, interventi a congressi, corsi di aggiornamento e di formazione per nuovi medici provenienti da tutta Europa. Attualmente ci sono una ventina di chirurghi formati, che eseguono interventi col robot guidato nella clinica di San Francesco, che è punto di riferimento internazionale per la chirurgia ortopedi-

ca protesica, tra i migliori ospedali italiani. Inizialmente erano protesi parziali al ginocchio, poi si è sviluppato l'utilizzo di protesi totali, nei casi di artrosi per terapie conservative. Le parti trattate sono per ora le ginocchia (60%) e le anche (40%), ma si è cominciato anche con la mano e il gomito, ed in tempi brevi si faranno interventi anche alle spalle ed alla schiena. “Ad utilizzare questa metodologia sono maggiormente donne di età tra i sessanta e gli ottanta anni. Ultimamente si è allargata la fascia di età in cui si può agire anche a giovani in seguito ad incidenti sportivi fino a novantenni, trattandosi di interventi non invasivi”.

In Italia vi sono oltre cinquanta installazioni di questo robot guidato, tre alla Clinica San Francesco, dove il team di lavoro effettua dai 100 ai 120 interventi al mese su pazienti provenienti da tutta Europa. Finora sono state eseguite complessivamente più di seimila operazioni e si registra una notevole diffusione del sistema, che non ammette errori.

PIERGIUSEPPE PERAZZINI PIONEER OF ORTHOPEDIC ROBOTIC SURGERY

Do you know those science fiction films where researchers operate with their hands on enormous transparent screens, even carrying out precision medical interventions at a distance? Here, speaking with Professor Perazzini, head of the functional unit of orthopedics and traumatology at the San Francesco Clinic in Verona, it seems that we are now in that direction, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, that prosthetic operations are at an epochal turning point with the use of robots guided by specialized doctors.

The robot in question is called MAKO (name of the shark that lives in the seas of Florida, in fact the logo is represented by a fin): after a pre-operative CT scan the patient's data is stored on the computer and the surgeon plans on video what kind intervention the robotic arm must carry out to obtainpersonalized results and maximum precision in positioning the prosthesis. Precision to the millimetre. They are minimally invasive operations, no blood, lasting one hour, with subsequent remote control to follow the post-operative progress. All parameters are stored for comparison and sharing.

We are at a very high level with excellent results, which guarantee a very fast recovery of the patient, almost without the need for rehabilitation in some cases, who within a few days (sometimes even on the same day) can resume his activities and his normal life, something that was even unthinkable until a few years ago.

“When I brought this cutting-edge technology from the United States to Italy in 2011” explains Dr. Perazzini, determining the Italian record in implantology with MAKO, “they attacked me harshly, as if I had proposed extraterrestrial interventions. However, it has been seen that this technology is very precise and increasingly perfected now thanks to more than thirteen years' experience.” This methodology has been presented by Perazzini in numerous publications, interventions at conferences, refresher and training courses for new doctors from all over Europe.

There are currently around twenty trained surgeons who perform robot-guided operations in the San Francesco clinic, which is an international point of reference for prosthetic orthopedic surgery, among the best Italian hospitals. Initially they were partial knee prostheses, then the use of total prostheses developed in cases of osteoarthritis for conservative therapies. For now, the parts treated are the knees (60%) and the hips (40%), but we have also started with the hand and elbow, and in the short term operations will also be carried out on the shoulders and back.

“This methodology is mostly used by women between the ages of sixty and eighty. Lately, the age range in which action can be taken on young people following sports accidents has widened up to those in their nineties, as these are non-invasive interventions". In Italy there are over fifty installations of this guided robot, three at the San Francesco Clinic, where the work team carries out 100 to 120 operations a month on patients from all over Europe. So far, more than six thousand operations have been carried out in total and there is a notable diffusion of the system, which does not allow errors.

Quali sono le tendenze moda 2024?

Le tendenze moda per il 2024 si ispirano all'unione tra arte e moda, come evidenziato dalla collezione MooRER 2024. Quest'anno la natura gioca un ruolo fondamentale nel design e nella creatività, con colori audaci e vibranti che richiamano l'espressionismo pittorico dei primi del '900.

Materiali naturali e tonalità che si mimetizzano con l'ambiente circostante sono al centro delle tendenze, ispirate dai paesaggi costieri italiani e dalle diverse sfumature della natura. Queste tendenze si traducono in capi che dipingono un paesaggio naturale mediterraneo, ricco di colori e sfumature che evocano la bellezza e la varietà della natura circostante. Che proposte presenta il vostro brand?

Art, luxury and simplicity, craftsmanship and quality: these are the distinctive features of the design of MooRER, a Made in Italy clothing brand, created 20 years ago by Moreno Faccincani, who brought his famous shawls - and more - from Castelnuovo del Garda to the world. We asked the designer and creator of this brand what this year's fashion trends are and the secret to an great look.

What is the secret of an look that works? The secret of an look that works lies in essentiality.

An essential look stands out for its ability to communicate elegance and style without excess, aiming for purity of lines and refined simplicity. This approach is based on the idea that "less is more", favoring the quality of the garments, attention to detail and harmony of proportions. The careful choice of garments and accessories, combined with a sophisticated taste in the combination of elements, contributes to creating a refined and distinctive image regardless of today's fashion because it is indeed a timeless style.

I try to do the same with my creations of the brand, MooRER: the balance between luxury and simplicity, between refined details and timeless style. In a chaotic world, I seek beauty in the essential.

What are the 2024 fashion trends?

The fashion trends of 2024 are inspired by the union between art and fashion, as highlighted by the MooRER 2024 collection. This year, nature plays a fundamental role in design and creativity, with bold and vibrant colors that recall the expressionism of early 1900s. Natural materials and shades that blend with the surrounding environment are at the center of the trends, inspired by Italian coastal landscapes and the different nuances of nature.

Il brand MooRER ha avuto origine come risultato di una trasformazione significativa dal precedente Feyem. Dopo il consolidamento del successo con Feyem, nel 2003, Faccincani ha intrapreso una nuova sfida e ho lanciato MooRER. Questo marchio si è distinto per la produzione di giacche da uomo di alta qualità, mantenendo ferma l’attenzione sui valori di artigianalità e produzione italiana. La nostra presenza a Castelnuovo del Garda, luogo dove tutto ha avuto inizio, riveste un'importanza fondamentale: ci consente di celebrare le nostre radici, stabilire connessioni più profonde con i nostri sostenitori e mantenere viva l'essenza della nostra identità aziendale.

Abbiamo scelto dunque di aprire proprio qui il nostro nuovo negozio, nel nostro territorio, per creare un punto di riferimento significativo che offra anche ai turisti, già a conoscenza del nostro brand, l'opportunità di scoprire e acquistare i nostri prodotti direttamente nel luogo in cui vengono concepiti. Come è nata la sua passione per la moda?

A dire il vero, mentirei se dicessi che c'è stato amore a prima vista tra me e il mondo della moda.

L'idea di MooRER ha inizio in un contesto inaspettato: il laboratorio di abbigliamento dei miei genitori nel 1979, quando ero solo un bambino di 5 anni. Inizialmente, non c'era traccia di passione per l'abbigliamento, e trascorrevo il tempo nel laboratorio più come una punizione che altro.

Crescendo, però, ho cominciato a sviluppare un senso critico nei confronti delle tendenze di moda dominanti.

Il momento esatto in cui tutto è cambiato è stato il 15 dicembre 1995. L'azienda della mia famiglia, che stava già vivendo gravi difficoltà finanziarie, era stata rapinata e non era rimasto letteralmente nulla nel laboratorio. Forse è stata quella la scintilla, all’improvviso, il mondo che avevo odiato come una prigione fino a quel momento, era diventato il punto di partenza nella mia ricerca di autenticità e di riscatto.

What proposals does your brand offer?

At the core of our company philosophy, MooRER stands for excellence in creating unique outerwear, representing our passion for high-quality craftsmanship in the industry. Although our main focus is on the production of prestigious puffer jackets and jackets that encapsulate the spirit of Made in Italy luxury sportswear, we do not limit ourselves to this. In addition to our line of signature outerwear, we offer a wide range of total looks that reflect our refined approach and attention to detail. This means that not only do we offer clothing that represents our selling point, but we also create complete outfits that guarantee timeless elegance in every detail.

You have numerous shops in Italy and abroad, but you recently opened one in Castelnuovo del Garda where it all started…

Our presence in Castelnuovo del Garda, where it all began, is of fundamental importance: it allows us to celebrate our roots, establish deeper connections with our supporters and keep the essence of our corporate identity alive. We have therefore chosen to open our new shop right here, in our territory, to create a significant point of reference that also offers tourists, already aware of our brand, the opportunity to discover and purchase our products directly in the place which they are conceived.

How did your passion for fashion begin?

To be honest, I would be lying if I said it was love at first sight between me and the fashion world. The idea for MooRER began in an unexpected context: my parents' clothing workshop in 1979, when I was just a 5-year-old child. Initially, there was no trace of passion for clothing, and I spent time in the workshop more as a punishment than anything else. As I grew up, however, I began to develop a critical sense for fashion trends. The exact moment everything changed was December 15, 1995. My family's company, which was already experiencing severe financial difficulties, had been robbed and there was literally nothing left in the laboratory. Maybe that was the spark. Suddenly, the world that I had hated like a prison until that moment became the starting point in my search for authenticity and redemption.

Terrazzi e tetti verdi perfettamente integrati con il contesto circostante, per rispettare l’ambiente e creare un piacevole momento di relax vista lago. Queste sono le linee guida dei progetti firmati da SCR IMMO Srl, società austriaca di sviluppo immobiliare i cui clienti, principalmente di nazionalità tedesca e austriaca, cercano un angolo di pace e relax nel contesto unico del Lago di Garda.

Per raccontare questi progetti, che privilegiano qualità, sostenibilità e modernità, abbiamo intervistato Hannes Niederkofler, amministratore delegato, e l’architetto veronese Roberto Adorno, con cui la società collabora da anni per la realizzazione dei progetti sul Lago di Garda.

Che genere di clientela si rivolge a voi e cosa richiede?

Hannes Niederkofler: I nostri clienti sono principalmente di nazionalità austriaca e tedesca e cercano una seconda casa sulle sponde del Lago di Garda. Un nostro tratto distintivo è di proporci come interlocutore unico: seguendo personalmente ogni fase di un progetto, dall'acquisto del terreno alla pianificazione, all’appalto, al coordinamento dei lavori, alla consulenza al cliente e alla vendita.

E loro lo apprezzano molto dal momento che vivono lontano e non possono seguire tutte le fasi direttamente di persona.

Quali sono le richieste dei clienti?

H. N.: Principalmente cercano la tranquillità e la comodità in un contesto moderno. Sono costruzioni normalmente defilate, in mezzo al verde con vista lago, ma sufficientemente vicine ai servizi e alle arte-

rie di comunicazione come l’autostrada.

Dal punto di vista costruttivo, naturalmente ricercano anche la qualità dei materiali e la sostenibilità ambientale.

Che tipo di attenzioni avete nella realizzazione dell’immobile?

Roberto Adorno: Nella realizzazione dei progetti niente viene lasciato al caso: solidità statica, abilità artigiana, competenza tecnica, cura nella progettazione e, ovviamente, la scelta di materiali pregiati sono le linee guida per ogni progetto, come lo sono anche un’architettura sofisticata e l’integrazione armoniosa nell'ambiente mediterraneo.

Quali sono gli interventi più interessanti che avete realizzato negli ultimi anni?

R. A.: Un recente progetto che ha delle caratteristiche uniche è il residence Belvedere nel comune di Costermano del Garda. Qui abbiamo innovato utilizzando i tetti giardino seguendo il principio di Le Corbusier. Non mancano poi grandi vetrate per esaltare la vista del lago e avere una visione anche dall’interno dell’ambiente circostante.

Il progetto emerge in modo importante rispetto all’edilizia circostante, ma grazie alle sue caratteristiche estetiche credo che siamo riusciti ad integrarlo adeguatamente nel contesto.

Architetto, quali vantaggi hanno i tetti verdi?

R. A.: Direi numerosi, a partire dai vantaggi climatici: il tetto verde isola meglio dal freddo e dal caldo. Inoltre c’è anche un importante elemento estetico e paesaggistico. Con i tetti verdi integriamo la struttura nel contesto verde circostante e la rendiamo più gradevole esteticamente.

Oltre al beneficio che le persone che lo abitano recepiscono dal contatto con la natura. Non dimentichiamo infine un dettaglio normativo: siamo costantemente soggetti al parere del Beni Ambientali e alcune specifiche norme Regionali incentivano l’utilizzo di tetti verdi attraverso bonus volumetrici. La sostenibilità è una questione sempre più all’or-

dine del giorno e non più rimandabile nel mondo edilizio…

H. N.: All’estero c’è grande attenzione per l’ambiente, già da molti anni. Per questo i nostri clienti sono molto attenti e richiedono fotovoltaico, pannelli solari, tetto verde. Sono elementi indispensabili nella nostra progettazione. Anche nella scelta dei materiali badiamo alla sostenibilità, privilegiando quelli locali come la pietra veronese.

Quali sono i rivestimenti e lo stile più richiesti?

R. A.: Per gli esterni sicuramente un design moderno con tetti piani e grandi vetrate. Io normalmente propongo sempre accostamenti di materiali moderni a tradizionali come il legno o la pietra.

Noto in generale che i rivestimenti murari in pietra sono molto apprezzati. Ad essi accosto poi ferro e rivestimenti più moderni come i pannelli compositi tipo Alucobond o in HPL tipo Trespa che, oltre a conferire al progetto un aspetto più gradevole, consentono di sfruttare i benefici della parete ventilata.

H. N.: Per gli interni io consiglio sempre una pavimentazione in ceramica per integrare meglio il contesto di una seconda casa dopo l’esterno e l’interno sono molto collegati.

Molto richiesto naturalmente anche il pavimento in legno. In ambienti come bagni e cucina usiamo invece il marmo e la pietra locale.

E per quanto riguarda l’arredamento?

H. N.: I clienti chiedono normalmente uno stile moderno, lineare e semplice. La cucina e la zona living, normalmente collegate da un open space, sono le zone più importanti.

Ad esse si aggiungono gli ampi terrazzi. Loro vengono qui per godersi il clima del Lago di Garda e dunque apprezzano sicuramente uno spazio esterno fruibile e vivibile.

Quali sono gli obiettivi futuri che vi siete posto?

H. N.: Continuare a lavorare con la qualità creando rete con professionisti della zona per la realizzazione di un prodotto finale unico.

Exclusive holiday flats and luxury villas at Lake Garda. Terraces and green roofs perfectly integrated with the surrounding context, respecting the environment and creating a pleasant moment of relaxation overlooking the lake. These are the guidelines of the projects signed by SCR IMMO Srl, an Austrian real estate development company whose clients, mainly of German and Austrian nationality, seek a corner of peace and relaxation in the unique setting of Lake Garda.

To talk about these projects, which emphasise quality, sustainability and modernity, we interviewed Hannes Niederkofler, CEO, and the Veronese architect Roberto Adorno, with whom the company has been collaborating for years on projects at Lake Garda.

What kind of customers come to you and what do they require?

Hannes Niederkofler: Our customers are mainly of Austrian and German nationality and are looking for a second home on the shores of Lake Garda.

A distinguishing feature of ours is that we act as a onestop shop: we personally follow every stage of a project, from land acquisition to planning, contracting, work coordination, customer advice and sales. And they appreciate this very much since they live far away and cannot follow all stages in person. What are the customers' demands?

H. N.: They mainly seek tranquillity and comfort in a modern context. They are normally out-of-the-way buildings in the middle of greenery with a lake view, but close enough to services and communication arteries such as the motorway. In terms of construction, they naturally also seek quality materials and environmental sustainability.

What kind of care do you take in the realisation of the property?

Roberto Adorno: In the realisation of projects, nothing is left to chance: static solidity, craftsmanship, technical expertise, care in design and, of course, the choice of fine materials are the guidelines for each project, as are sophisticated architecture and harmonious integration into the Mediterranean environment. What are the most interesting interventions you have made in recent years?

R. A.: A recent project with unique characteristics is the Belvedere residence in the municipality of Costermano sul Garda. Here we have innovated by using garden roofs following Le Corbusier's principle.

IL VERDE ENTRA NELL’ARCHITETTURA

There are also large windows to enhance the view of the lake and to have an inside view of the surroundings. The project stands out in an important way from the surrounding building, but thanks to its aesthetic characteristics I think we have managed to integrate i t properly into the context.

Architect, what are the advantages of green roofs?

R. A.: I would say numerous, starting with the climatic advantages: the green roof insulates better against cold and heat. There is also an important aesthetic and landscaping element. With green roofs we integrate the structure into the green surroundings and make it more aesthetically pleasing. In addition to the benefit that the people living in it receive from the contact with nature. Finally, let's not forget a regulatory detail: we are constantly subject to the opinion of the “Beni Ambientali” (Environmental Heritage) and some specific regional regulations incentivise the use of green roofs through volumetric bonuses.

Sustainability is increasingly on the agenda and can no longer be postponed in the building world...

H. N.: Abroad there is great concern for the environment, already for many years. That is why our customers are very attentive and demand photovoltaics, solar panels, green roofs. These are indispensable elements in our design. Even in the choice of materials we pay attention to sustainability, favouring local ones such as Veronese stone.

What are the most popular coverings and styles?

R. A.: For the exterior, definitely a modern design with flat roofs and large windows. I normally always propose combinations of modern materials with traditional ones such as wood or stone. I notice in general that stone wall claddings are very popular. I then juxtapose them with iron and more modern claddings such as composite panels like Alucobond or HPL like Trespa, which not only give the project a more pleasing appearance, but also allow the benefits of the ventilated wall to be exploited.

H. N.: For interiors I always recommend ceramic flooring to better integrate the context of a second home where the exterior and interior are very connected. Wooden flooring is of course also in great demand. In areas such as bathrooms and kitchens we use marble and local stone instead.

What about furniture?

H. N.: Customers normally demand a modern, linear and simple style. The kitchen and living area, normally connected by an open space, are the most important areas. To these are added the large terraces. Customers come here to enjoy the climate of Lake Garda and therefore certainly appreciate a usable and liveable outdoor space.

What are your future goals?

H. N.: Continue to work with quality by networking with professionals in the area for a unique end product.

Residence Limoni is located a few kilometres from the centre of Torri del Benaco and Garda, in a location with a breathtaking view of Lake Garda and its spectacular sunsets. We are starting a nine-unit operation in Torri del Benaco.This project will be particularly innovative and calibrated: given the difference in elevation, as the structure is located on a slope, we will realise a kind of “ziggurat” , a building with overlapping terraces and roof gardens. Through this design solution, each floor will enjoy a pleasant and wide green space.

Questo insediamento, dall’aspetto delicato e liberato dalla classica rigidezza degli ambiti multi-residenziali, si articola in tre blocchi distinti per aderire in modo più elastico alla morfologia del lotto, le piccole rotazioni tra i vari blocchi, vengono alleggerite dai blocchi scala centrali che fungono da cerniere ed intervallano con delicatezza la distribuzione complessiva. I blocchi che custodiscono le abitazioni sono volumi semplici con pianta regolare, definiti da muri che racchiudono gli spazi chiusi e privati, dialoganti con l’esterno attraverso aperture e fori regolari dalle dimensioni contenute. Gli spazi esterni come quelli pubblici dei collegamenti verticali, o privati dei portici e delle terrazze, sono invece racchiusi da un graticolo metallico leggero, semiaperto, capace di filtrare la luce del sole, con meravigliosi effetti scenografici, donando ombra agli spazi aperti e garantendo privacy alla vista. Un intervento plasmato dall’articolazione di pieni e vuoti, che garantisce la tranquillità e il comfort che ogniuno desidera nella propria abitazione, con eleganza e l’uso sapiente delle tecniche progettuali, nascerà un complesso abitativo di alto livello, un moderno residence nella cornice storica del lago di Garda.

In Lazise, in the historic heart of Lake Garda, a very elegant residential complex will soon be built whose project, by architect Alessandro De Santi, of the DESNATI E ASSOCIATI firm of Affi, e realizzato da TIEMME COSTRUZINI Srl, develops within the territorial context with grace and respect for nature.

The intervention involves the construction of 12 apartments arranged within 3 distinct blocks, connected to each other by the functional blocks of the connecting structures. Respect for the territory and the morphological conformations of the surrounding land are the basis of the project definition, characterizing its distribution. This settlement, with a delicate appearance and freed from the classic rigidity of multi-residential areas, is divided into three distinct blocks to adhere more elastically to the morphology of the lot; the small rotations between the various blocks are lightened by the central stair blocks which they act as hinges and delicately space out the overall distribution.

The project is characterized by the combination of two different “classic” ways of building, a more massive one, made of simple volumes and solids and a lighter one, made of the articulation of linear construction elements and where voids dominate.

The blocks that house the homes are simple volumes with a regular plan, defined by walls that enclose the closed and private spaces, communicating with the outside through regular openings and holes of small dimensions. The external spaces such as the public ones of the vertical connections, or the private ones of the porticoes and terraces, are instead enclosed by a light, semi-open metal lattice, capable of filtering the sunlight, with wonderful scenographic effects, giving shade to the open spaces and guaranteeing privacy at the sight. An intervention shaped by the articulation of solids and voids, which guarantees the tranquility and comfort that everyone desires in their home, with elegance and the wise use of design techniques, a high-level housing complex will be born, a modern residence in the historical setting of Lake Garda.

EQUILIBRIO TRA STORIA E MODERNITA’

UN INTERVENTO RESIDENZIALE NEL CENTRO STORICO DI VERONA

Alle porte del centro storico di Verona, in una realtà esclusivissima, prende forma questo progetto di ristrutturazione residenziale, ad opera di IM.COS, in collaborazione con Ballarini Interni.

a complessità di questa valorizzazione edilizia consiste proprio nella sua location, un antico e prestigioso palazzo della Verona storica dove la sfida più grande è stata forse quella di creare un perfetto bilanciamento tra modernità e storia, storia così fortemente radicata tra le mura di questa dimora, tanto da guidare le sapienti mani degli interior designer di Ballarini Interni, senza mai dimenticare i contemporanei dettami dell’abitare.

Una sfida certamente impegnativa ma vinta con l’attenzione per l’identità architettonica dell’immobile associata al desiderio di creare continuità e coerenza con il passato, senza creare interferenze stilistiche. L’appartamento è caratterizzato dai tipici soffitti molto alti e dalle grandi finestrature, la presenza imponente degli antichi affreschi e delle modanature originali dell’epoca ha posto la necessità di effettuare delle scelte stilistiche coraggiose, nel rispetto della storia del luogo. Le scelte di design si sono orientate all’utilizzo del contrasto tra colori naturali ma fortemente saturati, materiali importanti e finiture di pregio, adeguati all’originalità degli spazi.

Il salone principale accoglie i visitatori all’interno di questa sontuosa dimora; qui troviamo il soggiorno e la sala da pranzo. A RESIDENTIAL INTERVENTION IN THE HISTORIC CENTER OF VERONA

At the gates of the historic center of Verona, in a very exclusive reality, this residential renovation project takes shape, by IM.COS, in collaboration with Ballarini Interni. The complexity of this building development lies precisely in its location, an ancient and prestigious building in historic Verona where the greatest challenge was perhaps that of creating a perfect balance between modernity and history, history so strongly rooted within the walls of this residence, so much so as to guide the expert hands of Ballarini Interni’s interior designers, without ever forgetting the contemporary dictates of living. A certainly demanding challenge but won with attention to the architectural identity of the property

associated with the desire to create continuity and coherence with the past, without creating stylistic interference. The apartment is characterized by the typical very high ceilings and large windows, the imposing presence of the ancient frescoes and the original moldings of the time created the need to make courageous stylistic choices, respecting the history of the place. The design choices were oriented towards the use of the contrast between natural but highly saturated colours, important materials and fine finishes, suited to the originality of the spaces. The main hall welcomes visitors into this sumptuous residence; here we find the living room and the dining room. The designers of Ballarini Interni have chosen for this representative space, pieces from the best Made in Italy brands, with vivid colours, soft lines and prestigious finishes, in perfect fusion with each other. Here we find furnishing elements recognizable in their design, elegant and precious to create an

environment of undisputed comfort. The SABA sofa, My Taos model, design by Sergio Bicego, welcomes you into this environment with its soft lines, rounded corners and rounded shapes, typical of this key SABA model, revisited with restyling work over the years, respecting the original project, softening the lines without being consumed by the fragility of time.

The POLIFORM storage units and the CATTELAN Kayak model sideboard frame the space with character and incisiveness. In particular, the sideboard is an element with an eclectic and sculptural design, designed to furnish with elegance, its multifaceted soul shows fine details and exclusive finishes.

The seats chosen for the dining area have a playful design, the Mini Papilio by B&B Italia, covered in fabric, is equipped with a 360° swivel base with automatic return to the pre-established position, fluidly designed inside a trunk of inverted cone ensures maximum comfort in the

welcoming and sinuous shape of the seat and backrest. The wings that extend to the sides of the backrest emphasize the feeling of comfort, acting as support for the hips and back.

At the center of the space, a generous island with snack counter completes the layout which offers a new interpretation of Thea, the "handleless" model designed by Antonio Citterio in 2021, among the most versatile in the entire Arclinea collection. The most distinctive choice lies in the doors, which feature an original strip pattern.

Material, three-dimensional surfaces, which in the succession of vertical lines draw light-dark capable of livening up the environment and which to the touch evoke naturalness, craftsmanship, quality resulting from expert hands. L’UFFICIO COME SPAZIO DI ESPRESSIONE PERSONALE

rredare e organizzare gli spazi di lavoro oggi, significa infondere dinamiche, obiettivi, relazioni, visione e valori all'interno di uno spazio, rendendoli tangibili attraverso la scelta attenta di pieni e vuoti, così che le persone possano identificarsi in essi. Questa prospettiva, sebbene possa sembrare astratta, è fondamentale per riformulare la concezione materialistica del luogo di lavoro, sostituendo la tradizionale relazione dipendente/scrivania/cassettiera con una più organica e significativa connessione tra persona/spazio/relazione. Furnishing and organizing work spaces today means infusing dynamics, objectives, relationships, vision and values within a space, making them tangible through the careful choice of solids and voids, so that people can identify with them. This perspective, although it may seem abstract, is fundamental for reformulating the materialist conception of the workplace, replacing the traditional employee/desk/chest of drawers relationship with a more organic and significant connection between person/space/relationship.

The challenge lies in breaking the traditional pattern, which with its repetitiveness risks shackling the mind in pre-packaged patterns, and replacing it with a vision centered on people, relationships and places. This approach places the individual at the center of attention, promoting a work environment no longer seen as a simple routine but as an enriching experience, capable of nurturing creativity, collaboration and authenticity.

Abbiamo intervistato Mattia Bianchi, che ci ha raccontato il suo “ritorno alle origini”: lui, valpolicellese di nascita, è partito a vent’anni con un sogno in tasca per girare il mondo (Londra, Australia, Indocina) dove ha studiato, assimilato culture e gusti, per poi tornare a casa e dare forma alla sua filosofia di cucina.

Come definisce la sua cucina, Chef?

La mia cucina attinge principalmente dall’orto e dal frutteto dell’hotel, dai piccoli mercati locali sostenibili e dai contadini della Valpolicella, quest’ultima filo conduttore dei miei piatti che si intreccia ai profumi e ai sapori orientali. La definisco una cucina del terri-

Amistà è un’esperienza immersiva a 360 gradi: all’interno del contenitore di una prestigiosa villa veneta del XVI secolo si trova il ristorante, dove risaltano la cucina incorniciata da una grande finestra e le opere d’arte contemporanea che arredano l’ambiente. Quali sono i suoi piatti caratteristici?

Il tortello di corte veronese con ripieno di carne, ispirato al ricordo di quando da bambino ammiravo la nonna preparare la pasta fresca. Un altro mio signature dish è il bigolo di sarde in salsa con crema di coriandolo o con l’ostrica fresca, a seconda della stagionalità.

Come viene curata la presentazione dei piatti?

I piatti sono studiati accuratamente dal punto di vista estetico, per rispecchiare lo stile dell’hotel, senza tuttavia sfociare in una cucina minimalista. Le porzioni, infatti, sono soddisfacenti anche nelle quantità, non solo sul piano estetico e gustativo. Infine, i dolci del menù degustazione, creati assieme al pastry chef Pietro Recchia, richiamano per colori e impiattamenti le opere che abbelliscono la sala del Ristorante, da Sandro Chia a Mimmo Rotella. L’ultima creazione è la sfoglia di mela che ricorda le incisioni di Lucio Fontana.

Il Ristorante Amistà si trova in Valpolicella, terra vitivinicola rinomata in tutto il mondo. Che ruolo gioca il vino in questo contesto?

Il vino valorizza e arricchisce la mia cucina. Abbiamo una cantina con oltre 1000 etichette che offre la possibilità di degustare le eccellenze del territorio ma anche vini di nicchia provenienti dal resto del mondo. Inoltre, stiamo portando avanti collaborazioni importanti con aziende vitivinicole con cui realizziamo diversi eventi, dove mettiamo a disposizione la nostra rinnovata cantina come spazio per cene o degustazioni.

Byblos Art Hotel è circondato da un parco di 20mila metri quadrati. Come utilizzate lo spazio esterno?

Dallo scorso anno, grazie alla nuova cucina esterna, è possibile gustare i nostri piatti anche nel Garden Restaurant, che propone una ricercata cucina bistrot per il pranzo e gli aperitivi, in un luogo immerso nel verde e nella pace del parco della villa. Suggestive sono le cene a bordo piscina o attorno alla fontana principale fronte villa, riservate per eventi speciali come il ricevimento di matrimoni.

Perché dovremmo venire a trovarvi al Ristorante Amistà?

In primis per l’unicità delle proposte menù che valorizzano le tradizioni locali rivisitandole con contaminazioni orientali. E poi perché il Ristorante Amistà è un’esperienza unica e sensoriale di Food For Art, creata dalla fusione tra arte e gastronomia, due forme di espressione creativa che regalano grandi emozioni.

NEL CUORE DELLA VALPOLICELLA

Villa Amistà sorge nel cuore della Valpolicella sui resti di una “casa forte” romana. Nella prima metà del Cinquecento, Michele Sanmicheli realizzò il corpo centrale della struttura in stile veneziano, mentre l’attuale costruzione, ad opera dell’architetto Ignazio Pellegrini, risale al 1700. Negli spazi interni si possono ammirare affreschi e reperti originali di entrambe le epoche, recuperati attraverso accurati restauri filologici. Oggi Villa Amistà è sede del Byblos Art Hotel. La Villa è stata trasformata in un vero e proprio museo d’arte dove la storia si fonde con i linguaggi artistici contemporanei, generando stupore e meraviglia. We interviewed Mattia Bianchi, who told us about his travels around the world (London, Australia, Indochina) that led him to discover new cultures, flavours and scents that nowadays give shape to his philosophy of cuisine.

How do you define your cuisine, Chef?

I use mainly products from the garden and the orchard of the hotel, from small sustainable local markets and from the farmers of Valpolicella, that is the theme of my dishes that is intertwined with the scents and flavours of the east Asian. I call it a local cuisine, which captivates the palate of international guests, but revisited with that touch of contemporary influence that surprises even those who already know the local cuisine. Roots, experiences, research and innovation are the ingredients through which I create my menus.

Let’s talk about the marvellous location, in which space guests are welcomed?

Amistà is an all-round immersive experience, inside in a prestigious 16th century Venetian villa. The kitchen is framed in a large window and the contemporary artworks decorate the Restaurant’s rooms. The first

one that welcomes the guests on arrival is the “Sfera” of Arnaldo Pomodoro. The diners then enter in a ritual, where taste, sight and senses are combined in a short circuit of emotions.

What are your signature dishes?

The tortello of Veronese courtyard with meat, inspired by the memory of when as a child I admired my grandmother making fresh pasta. Another signature dish is the bigolo with sardines in sauce with coriander cream or with fresh oysters, depending on the season.

How do you present your dishes?

The dishes are carefully designed from an aesthetic point of view; my cuisine reflects the style of the hotel. The portions are also satisfactory in quantity, not only in terms of aesthetic and taste. Finally, the desserts of the tasting menu, created together with the pastry chef Pietro Recchia, reminds for colours and dishes the artworks that embellish the dining room of the restaurant, from Sandro Chia to Mimmo Rotella. The latest creation is an apple pastry reminiscent of Lucio Fontana’s engravings.

Amistà Restaurant is in Valpolicella, famous around the world for its wines. What role wine plays in this context?

Wine enhances and enriches my cuisine. We have a cellar with over 1000 labels that offers the opportunity to taste the excellence of the territory but also niche wines from the rest of the world. In addition, we are carrying out important collaborations with wineries with which we organize several events, where we provide our renovated cellar as a space for dinners or tastings.

Villa Amistà is surrounded by a park of 20 thousand square meters. How do you use the outdoor space?

Since last year, thanks to the new outdoor kitchen, it is possible to taste our dishes in the Garden Restaurant, which offers a refined bistro cuisine for lunch and aperitifs, in a place surrounded by greenery and peace of the park of the villa. Suggestive are the dinners by the pool or around the main fountain in front of the villa, reserved for special events such as weddings.

Why should we visit Amistà Restaurant?

Firstly, for the uniqueness of the menu proposals that enhance the local traditions revisiting them with eastern Asian contamination. Anche quest’anno l’estate veronese sarà ricca di eventi, concerti, spettacoli più o meno seri, sempre divertenti, di grande spessore e qualità diretti da nomi illustri, che ospitano artisti di fama nei luoghi più prestigiosi della nostra Verona. Ritorna il Festival della Bellezza giunto ormai all’11^ edizione, che propone quest’anno eventi fino ad ottobre, e immancabile l’Arena Opera Festival giunta alla 101 edizione, che proporrà la grande opera italiana Patrimonio dell’Umanità con spettacoli da 7 giugno al 7 settembre.
