Casa Perbellini ha una nuova casa. Ed è il ristorante 12 Apostoli. Potrebbe sembrare un ritorno alle origini per Giancarlo Perbellini, che qui è stato un giovane cuoco alle prime esperienze sotto lo sguardo attento di Giorgio Gioco, patron del celebre ristorante che ha fatto la storia della cucina italiana e ha visto passare i più grandi personaggi del Novecento. Ma di strada lo chef Perbellini ne ha fatta tanta, ha girato il mondo, ha portato la sua cucina fino in Asia per sperimentare nuove suggestioni e tecniche culinarie.

Forte di una consolidata esperienza ‘stellata’ oggi sceglie di costruire nella sua Verona, aprendo ancora di più gli orizzonti di Casa Perbellini che da Piazza San Zeno si trasferisce per trovare un nuovo e più ampio spazio negli storici locali del 12 Apostoli. Per l’occasione la nuova veste del ristorante è stata curata dall’architetto e designer di fama mondiale Patricia Urquiola. L’emozione e l’orgoglio per Giancarlo Perbellini sono tanti e ce li racconta in questa intervista raccolta poco prima di aprire le porte di Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli lo scorso 5 settembre. Come è nata questa occasione? Per caso. Avevo intenzione di lasciare il ristorante in piazza San Zeno e cercavo un’alternativa a Verona. Un giorno sono passato davanti al ristorante 12 Apostoli e ho pensato che sarebbe stato bello trasferire lì la mia “Casa”, già in passato avevo sondato la possibilità. Qualche giorno dopo ho ricevuto una chiamata di Antonio Gioco e oggi siamo qui. Cosa rappresenta per Lei il 12 Apostoli? É una delle pietre miliari della storia della cucina italiana. Io ci ho lavorato quando avevo 18 anni, all’inizio della mia carriera come giovane cuoco.

MY 'HOUSE' GETS A NEW LOOK AT 12 APOSTOLI CHEF GIANCARLO PERBELLINI TELLS US ABOUT THE ADVENTURE THAT BRINGS HIM BACK TO COOKING IN THE FAMOUS VERONESE RESTAURANT WHERE IT ALL BEGAN Casa Perbellini has a new home. And it is the 12 Apostoli restaurant. It might seem like a return to his origins for Giancarlo Perbellini, who here was a young chef at his first experience under the watchful eye of Giorgio Gioco, owner of the famous restaurant that has made the history of Italian cuisine and has seen the greatest personalities of the 20th century pass through.

Ricordo che ero rimasto folgorato dalla cucina enorme con una cappa unica al mondo. Giorgio Gioco cucinava la mattina e poi si rendeva disponibile con le persone. Lí ho visto passare i più grandi personaggi della storia. E da quell’esperienza mi è rimasto l’amore per la millefoglie gorgonzola, sedano e tartufo, che fa parte del mio DNA. Cosa può dire di aver portato con sé di Giorgio Gioco? I tempi sono cambiati. La cucina è cambiata molto da quando cucinava Giorgio. Sicuramente nel menù che presenterò farò rivivere la sua cucina in chiave moderna. Ad esempio il salmone in crosta torna in una versione rivisitata e stiamo studiando come riproporre le tagliatelle alla Barbarani. Un ulteriore aspetto che sicuramente rivivrà alla maniera di Gioco è la relazione con i commensali, che è anche un tratto distintivo di Casa Perbellini, e che proponiamo in modo inedito all’interno del nostro Chef’s table. Un ambiente conviviale con cucina a vista, come era nel locale di San Zeno, riservato a soli 12 ospiti. Per loro abbiamo studiato un menù speciale, SoloX12, che include tutte le tappe del percorso degustazione Io e Silvia, che ho dedicato a mia moglie che mi affianca in questa avventura, con l’aggiunta di 3 portate jolly a sorpresa, in abbinamento a una selezione di vini da scoprire al momento. A questo spazio, si aggiungono le due sale storiche del ristorante, le sale del Vòlto e degli Affreschi, con tre percorsi degustazione ispirati a stagionalità e memoria.

But Chef Perbellini has come a long way, travelling the world, taking his cuisine as far as Asia to experiment with new culinary suggestions and techniques. On the strength of his consolidated 'starred' experience, today he chooses to build in his own Verona, opening up even further the horizons of Casa Perbellini, which moves from Piazza San Zeno to find a new and larger space in the historic premises of 12 Apostoli. For the occasion, the new look of the restaurant has been designed by the world-famous architect and designer Patricia Urquiola. Great emotion and pride for Giancarlo Perbellini who tells us about them in this interview taken just before opening the doors of Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli last 5 September. How did this occasion arise? By chance. I was planning to leave the restaurant in Piazza San Zeno and was looking for an alternative in Verona. One day I passed by the 12 Apostoli restaurant and thought it would be nice to move my 'House' there, I had already explored the possibility in the past. A few days later I received a call from Antonio Gioco and today we are here. What does the 12 Apostoli represent for you? It is one of the milestones in the history of Italian cuisine. I worked there when I was 18, at the beginning of my career as a young cook. I remember being impressed by the huge kitchen with its unique hood. Giorgio Gioco would cook in the morning and then make himself available to people. There I saw the greatest people in history pass by. And from that experience I was left with a love for millefeuille gorgonzola, celery and truffle, which is part of my DNA. What can you say you brought with you from Giorgio Gioco? Times have changed. Cooking has changed a lot since Giorgio's time. Certainly in my menu I will revive his cuisine in a modern key. For example, salmon in a crust will return in a revisited version and we are studying how to repropose Barbarani-style

Il concept degli spazi è stato curato dalla celebre architetto e designer Patricia Urquiola. Cosa le ha chiesto? Ho sempre ammirato lo stile di Urquiola e nei miei locali ho sempre avuto delle sue creazioni. Con lei abbiamo scelto di valorizzare l’esistente, senza toccare le decorazioni a muro così caratteristiche, ma valorizzando la sensazione di calore ed accoglienza. Vedo con piacere un menù veg, senza glutine e latticini. Si può fare della buona cucina a sottrazione? Sottrarre dando gusto è complicato ma si può fare e noi lo facciamo da tempo grazie anche all’esperienza di Hong Kong che ci ha insegnato molto in questo senso. Si può dare gusto usando i vegetali di stagione. L’ingrediente preferito? Pomodoro e riso. Li mangerei, e li userei per cucinare, a colazione pranzo e cena. Cosa fa nel tempo libero Chef Perbellini? Se ne ha… devo dire che è poco (ride, ndr). Faccio sport, due o tre volte alla settimana.

A convivial setting with an open kitchen, as it was in the San Zeno restaurant, reserved for just 12 guests. We have devised a special menu for them, “SoloX12”, which includes all the stages of the “Io e Silvia” tasting itinerary, which I have dedicated to my wife, who supports me in this adventure, with the addition of 3 surprise wildcard courses, paired with a selection of wines to be discovered at the moment. In addition to this space, the restaurant's two historical rooms, the Vòlto and Affreschi rooms, offer three tasting routes inspired by seasonality and memory. The concept of the spaces was designed by renowned architect and designer Patricia Urquiola. What did you ask her? I have always admired Urquiola's style and have always had her creations in my premises. With her, we chose to enhance the existing, without touching the wall decorations that are so characteristic, but enhancing the feeling of warmth and welcome.

I am pleased to see a veg, gluten- and dairy-free menu. Can good cooking be done by subtraction? Subtracting and giving taste is complicated but it can be done and we have been doing it for a long time thanks also to the Hong Kong experience that taught us a lot in this respect. You can add flavour by using seasonal vegetables. Favourite ingredient? Tomato and rice. I would eat them, and use them for cooking, for breakfast lunch and dinner. What does Chef Perbellini do in his spare time? If he has... I have to say that it is little (laughs, ed.). I do sport, two or three times a week.

A Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli passato e presente convivono in un costante dialogo di richiami e rimandi, valorizzato dal sapiente intervento dell’architetto e designer di fama mondiale Patricia Urquiola che ha curato il restyling con la direzione lavori dell’architetta Silvia Bettini. Proprio all’architetto Urquiola abbiamo chiesto di raccontarci come ha “vestito” per l’occasione il ristorante. Come è nata la collaborazione con Giancarlo Perbellini? Lavorare con Giancarlo Perbellini e il suo team è stato molto stimolante, un dialogo nato da una visione affine nell’ambito dell’ospitalità. Ho trovato fin da subito interessante la sfida di creare un ambiente che onorasse la tradizione culinaria e culturale della città, ma fosse allo stesso tempo innovativo. Questo ha creato la base per una collaborazione stimolante, in cui abbiamo lavorato insieme per tradurre la sua visione in un linguaggio di design tangibile. Cosa le ha chiesto per la sua nuova avventura in questo luogo storico per Verona? Lo chef Perbellini voleva che il progetto fosse un tributo al ricco patrimonio di Verona, soprattutto a un luogo storico di così grande importanza. Ma, al contempo, voleva un luogo accogliente e intimo per gli ospiti. Per rendere l'ambiente accogliente, abbiamo lavorato con l'uso di tonalità calde come la terracotta e il legno di acero, che regalano una sensazione di calore. L'illuminazione è stata studiata per evocare l'atmosfera di un accogliente salotto di casa, con microfaretti a soffitto che creano l'effetto di un cielo stellato, richiamando gli affreschi veneti. Questi elementi di design lavorano sinergicamente per creare un'atmosfera familiare e invitante all'interno del ristorante. Come descriverebbe questo progetto? Eleganza contemporanea in un'atmosfera intima e accogliente. Come è riuscita ad unire la storia di questo luogo così importante per la ristorazione italiana ed il futuro? Il punto iniziale della progettazione è stato quello di unire e far convergere le due anime del ristorante. Da un lato, l'atmosfera storica delle sale con le loro volte affrescate, e dall'altro, la cura e l'attenzione ai dettagli che sono fondamentali per lo chef Perbellini. Abbiamo rispettato l'architettura originale, mantenendo tutte le caratteristiche degli interni, ma traducendole in chiave contemporanea. Tutto è iniziato proprio dagli affreschi sul soffitto delle sale, che sono stati la mia fonte di ispirazione. Ho tratto spunto da quei dipinti per creare il design del tappeto all'ingresso, usando forme che richiamano le stesse geometrie. Il design di un ristorante come si differenzia - se si differenzia - da quello di un'abitazione privata? Io credo che negli ultimi anni il ristorante si sta avvicinando sempre di più ad uno spazio domestico. Mi piace pensare al ristorante come una casa capace di offrire sia il comfort fisico che quello mentale di uno spazio domestico. Dovrebbe offrire tutto ciò che desideriamo, ma che non possiamo avere nella nostra esperienza quotidiana. Penso a un luogo "esperienziale" in cui ci si senta bene, offrendo comfort, familiarità e calore di una casa, ma allo stesso tempo aggiungendo qualcosa che renda l'esperienza unica. 8

PATRICIA URQUIOLA'S STYLE AND ELEGANT CONTEMPORANEITY GIVE LIFE TO THE RESTYLING OF CASA PERBELLINI 12 APOSTOLI AN INTERVIEW WITH THE WORLD-RENOWNED ARCHITECT AND DESIGNER WHO HAS OVERSEEN THE NEW LOOK OF THE HISTORIC RESTAURANT, BALANCING RESPECT FOR ITS HISTORY AND THE STYLE OF CHEF PERBELLINI At Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli, past and present coexist in a constant dialogue of references and cross-references, enhanced by the skilful intervention of the world-famous architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, who oversaw the restyling with the supervision of architect Silvia Bettini. We asked architect Urquiola to tell us how she 'dressed' the restaurant for the occasion. How did the collaboration with Giancarlo Perbellini come about? Working with Giancarlo Perbellini and his team was very stimulating, a dialogue born from a similar vision in the field of hospitality. I immediately found the challenge of creating an environment that would honour the city's culinary and cultural tradition, but at the same time be innovative. This created the basis for a stimulating collaboration, in which we worked together to translate his vision into a tangible design language. What did he ask you for your new adventure in this historic place for Verona? Chef Perbellini wanted the design to be a tribute to Verona's rich heritage, especially to such an important historical site. But at the same time, he wanted a cosy and intimate place for guests. To make the room cosy, we worked with the use of warm tones such as terracotta and maple wood, which give a feeling of warmth. The lighting was designed to evoke the atmosphere of a cosy living room at home, with micro spotlights on the ceiling creating the effect of a starry sky, recalling the Venetian frescoes. These design elements work synergistically to create a homely and inviting atmosphere within the restaurant. How would you describe this project? Contemporary elegance in an intimate and cosy atmosphere. How did you manage to combine the history of such an important place for Italian restaurant catering and the future? The initial design point was to unite and bring together the two souls of the restaurant. On the one hand, the historical atmosphere of the rooms with their frescoed vaults, and on the other, the care and attention to detail that are fundamental to Chef Perbellini. We respected the original architecture, retaining all the features of the interior, but translating them into a contemporary key. It all started with the frescoes on the ceiling of the rooms, which were my source of inspiration. I took inspiration from those paintings to create the design of the carpet at the entrance, using shapes that recall the same geometries. How does the design of a restaurant differ - if at all - from that of a private home? I believe that in recent years the restaurant is moving closer and closer to a domestic space. I like to think of the restaurant as a home capable of offering both the physical and mental comfort of a domestic space. It should offer everything we desire but cannot have in our daily experience. I think of an 'experiential' place where we feel good, offering comfort, familiarity and the warmth of a home, but at the same time adding something that makes the experience unique.

Accurata anche quest'anno la selezione delle gallerie partecipanti in modo da far dialogare i diversi attori del collezionismo e dell'imprenditoria. Uno dei tratti distintivi dell'edizione 2023 è il programma VIP, presentando un interessante percorso dentro e fuori la fiera e proponendo suggestioni per un pubblico sempre più ampio e diversificato. Ricchissimo di appuntamenti è il calendario fieristico, ricco anche di novità, grazie alla collaborazione con ANGAMC -Associazione Nazionale Gallerie d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea. Alla Main Section, che accoglie una selezione di gallerie provenienti dall'Italia e dall'estero, si affiancano tre sezioni speciali: Innova, dedicata a gallerie emergenti e sperimentali, Introduction, che presenta sei gallerie straniere, e Curated by a cura di Giacinto di Pietrantonio che presenta le proposte di gallerie che collaborano con un curatore per la realizzazione dello stand. Rinnovata la collaborazione con Giulia Floris per LAB che prevede un'estensione in città in sintonia con gli spazi dentro la fiera. Torna il format Habitat, il progetto dedicato alla

Once again this year the selection of participating galleries has been carefully planned so as to bring together the various players in the fields of collecting and entrepreneurship. One of the distinctive features of the 2023 edition is the VIP programme, presenting an interesting itinerary inside and outside the fair and offering suggestions for an increasingly broad and diversified public. Rich in appointments is the fair calendar, also full of novelties, thanks to the collaboration with ANGAMC -Associazione Nazionale Gallerie d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (National Association of Modern and Contempory Art Galleries).

È affidato a Nicolas Ballario, esperto d’arte contemporanea, il programma Talk che,

Tre sono i tipi di “cabaret”: maratone oratorie di 25 minuti dove i partecipanti hanno al massimo due minuti a testa per presentare un libro, un museo o una mostra; uno contro tutti, dove personaggi “molto particolari” sono messi a processo dal mondo dell’arte e viceversa; lo spettacolo LIVES, ideato dal musicista Rodrigo D’Erasmo, polistrumentista, compositore e membro degli Afterhours, e dallo stesso Ballario che presenta sul palco la vita di un protagonista dell’arte contemporanea.

There are three types of 'cabaret': 25-minute oratory marathons where participants have a maximum of two minutes each to present a book, a museum or an exhibition; "one against all", where 'very special' characters are put on trial by the art world and vice versa; the show "LIVES", devised by musician Rodrigo D'Erasmo, multi-instrumentalist, composer and member of Afterhours, and Ballario himself, who presents the life of a contemporary art protagonist on stage.

RIVOLUZIONE, RICOSTRUZIONE, RIGENERAZIONE E RICERCA, IL DOCUFILM DELLA SERIE CITTÀ NOVECENTO SULLA VERONA FUTURISTA DEL 900. LA MODERNITÀ NEL SEGNO DELLA TRADIZIONE “Non più la città murata contrapposta alla campagna, la città che impone enormi spese e non produce, la città fine a se stessa e che in sé si conclude, la città è un organismo vivente che non si può fermare, una macchina dell’abitare. Ogni generazione dovrà fabbricarsi la propria città, superando il concetto di periferia.”

THE CITY MACHINE - VERONA 900

La Città Macchina è il nuovo film con Alessandro Preziosi della serie Città Novecento a cura di Dario Biello, prodotta da Diego Biello per Filmedea. Il progetto, già alla Festa del Cinema di Roma, con la Veneto Film Commission, è alla Mostra del Cinema e alla Biennale di Architettura di Venezia e sarà al Marmomac di Verona. Un progetto multidisciplinare che intenderanno sottolineare la volontà di fondere Cinema e Architettura come strumento unico di progettazione, una sintesi in grado di avere un’azione di rigenerazione sociale e culturale prima che infrastrutturale.

La Città Macchina è Verona 900, città Unesco che con questo film intende superare ogni logica nostalgica e passatista. Un inseguimento oltre il XX secolo, dalla Rivoluzione Industriale, alla Ricostruzione del dopoguerra, fino alla Rigenerazione Urbana del presente e la Ricerca del domani, il tutto in costante equilibrio tra i valori tradizionali locali e le visioni globali internazionali di una città Fiera e Mercato aperta sul mondo. Nel film si scopre una città inaspettatamente futurista che si pone tra il pensiero della Città Che Sale di Umberto Boccioni e l’audacia della Città Nuova di Antonio Sant’Elia.

La Città Macchina (The City Machine) is the new film starring Alessandro Preziosi in the Città Novecento series curated by Dario Biello, produced by Diego Biello for Filmedea. The project, already at the Rome Film Festival with the Veneto Film Commission, is at the Venice Film Festival and the Venice Architecture Biennale and will be at Marmomac in Verona. A multidisciplinary project, intended to emphasise the desire to merge Cinema and Architecture as a unique design tool, a synthesis capable of social and cultural regeneration before infrastructural regeneration. The City Machine is Verona 900, a Unesco city that with this film intends to overcome all nostalgic and traditionalist logic. The film's protagonist is a researcher and photographer who pursues the futurist spirit of the city, personified by a 1927 Lancia Lambda Siluro driven by a mysterious woman. A pursuit beyond the 20th century, from the Industrial Revolution and post-war Reconstruction to the Urban Regeneration of the present and the Quest for Tomorrow, all in constant balance between traditional local values and the international global visions of a Fair and Market City open to the world.

Il padiglione si svilupperà come un distretto a base quadrata, in cui gli assi principali si intersecano dando vita ad un installazione, The Applaud, un progetto curato da Giorgio Canale, la cui volontà è quella di esaltare il processo di creazione di un opera, celebrando l’apporto delle macchine di ultima generazione.

Marmomac, la più importante fiera mondiale dedicata alla filiera della pietra naturale torna a Veronafiere dal 26 al 29 settembre 2023. Marmomac, the most important world fair dedicated to the natural stone supply chain returns to Veronafiere from 26 to 29 September 2023. An international event, now in its 57th edition, which confirms itself as the main showcase for the protagonists of the stone sector, a platform where business and professional training meet and dialogue. The pavilion will develop as a square-based district, in which the main axes intersect, giving life to an installation, The Applaud, a project curated by Giorgio Canale, whose intention is to enhance the process of creating a work, celebrating the contribution of the latest generation machines. GIORGIO BOSCAGIN, FROM BASKETBALL PLAYER TO REAL ESTATE AGENT FOR YEARS CAPTAIN AND FLAG OF TEZENIS VERONA

Il punto in comune tra la pallacanestro e il mondo immobiliare? Se si vogliono avere risultati, costanza e decisione non devono mai mancare”. Cosa accomuna il mondo dello sport e l’immobiliare? Ce lo racconta Giorgio Boscagin, veronese, ex giocatore di pallacanestro delle serie maggiori e della Nazionale italiana, che ha iniziato una “seconda vita professionale” nel mondo immobiliare. Nato a Tregnago, ha poi esplorato il mondo del basket militando in squadre di serie A come giocatore professionista per anni, fino al ritiro nel 2019. Giocatore versatile che ricopriva quasi tutti i ruoli, apprezzato anche per il grande agonismo, ha trovato, quasi per caso, la sua seconda passione: il real estate e la cura del cliente. Come mai è arrivato nel settore immobiliare? È cominciato tutto per un’esigenza familiare: dopo essermi trasferito dal Lago di Garda a Verona ho cominciato a gestire le proprietà immobiliari di famiglia per generare un reddito con le locazioni. Dopo un inizio senza grosse aspettative, la mia attività è diventata sempre più importante e mi sono appassionato al mondo del real estate e della cura del cliente. Quali aspetti in comune ha riscontrato nell’immobiliare con il mondo del basket e sportivo in generale? Il punto in comune tra la pallacanestro e il mondo immobiliare è che, se si vogliono avere risultati, costanza e decisione non devono mai mancare. Le emozioni che si vivono tra una partita di basket e la conclusione di un deal sono similari, a volte con momenti complicati, dove è necessario rallentare, fino all'esplosione di adrenalina di quando si arriva ad un accordo. Ricordando che è stato per anni “Il Capitano”, come La stanno aiutando gli anni di leadership nel mondo sportivo in questa nuova avventura? Il mondo dello sport è stato il mio pane quotidiano fin da quando da ragazzino di 11 anni ho cominciato a praticare basket e mi ha dato la possibilità di crearmi un bagaglio di comportamenti, atteggiamenti e abitudini che sono fondamentali per riuscire, in primo luogo, a capire le persone e cercare, poi, di poterle aiutare ad esprimersi al meglio. Il sacrificio, il duro lavoro, la determinazione e lo stare assieme ad altre persone sono aspetti che lo sport mi ha donato e che sono un tesoro essenziale per tante aziende. Perché Corcoran Magri Properties? Dal primo incontro che ho avuto con Francesco Visentin di Corcoran Magri Properties è emersa la passione e l'amore per questo lavoro. What do the world of sport and real estate have in common? Giorgio Boscagin, a former basketball player from Verona, who played in the major leagues and for the Italian national team, tells us about his "second career" in the real estate world. Born in Tregnago, near Verona, he then explored the world of basketball by playing in “Serie A” teams as a professional player for years, until his retirement in 2019. A versatile player who covered almost all roles, also appreciated for his great competitive spirit, he found by chance his second passion: real estate and customer care. How did you get into real estate? It all started because of a family need: after moving from Lake Garda to Verona, I began managing the family's real estate properties to generate an income with rentals. After a start without great expectations the 'thing' became more and more important and I became passionate about the world of real estate and customer care; What commonalities have you found in real estate with the world of basketball and sport in general? The common point between basketball and the world of real estate is that, if you want results, consistency and decisiveness must never be lacking. The emotions experienced between a basketball game and the conclusion of a deal are similar, sometimes with complicated moments, moments where you have to slow down, until the adrenalin rush of reaching the deal. Remembering that you have been 'The Captain' for years, how are your years of leadership in the sports world helping you in this new adventure? The world of sport has been my bread and butter since I started playing basketball as an 11-year-old boy, and it has given me the opportunity to build up a baggage of behaviours, attitudes and habits that are fundamental to being able, first of all, to understand people and then to try to help them express themselves at their best. Sacrifice, hard work, determination and being together with other people are aspects that sport has given me and which are an essential treasure for many companies. Why Corcoran Magri Properties? FUSIONE CON IL TERRITORIO A SIRMIONE

MODERNITÁ

area di progetto si trova all’interno di una zona residenziale ricompresa fra le Vie Solferino, Via san martino della Battaglia, in prossimità del centro di Sirmione. Questo interessantissimo intervento sorge su di un area che per anni ha ospitato un edificio della movida storica di Sirmione, da tempo in disuso, l’ex Kursaal. Con un piano di recupero, l’area ha trovato nuova vita, con la demolizione dell’antico manufatto, per lasciar posto ad un intervento di edilizia libera e convenzionata e alla sede della Fondazione Lina Aimaro Bertasi. Questo progetto, ad opera degli architetti Giovanni Cenna e Carlo Cegan, è l’esempio di come, lo studio approfondito della morfologia del territorio e la ricerca di alti standard qualitativi urbanistici, uniti ad una eccellente intesa tra committenza e professionisti, possano portare alla realizzazione di un intervento dalla rilevante qualità complessiva. Il tema dell’edilizia residenziale in area urbana di bassa densità è stato approfondito fino a definire una tipologia specifica per il luogo, un edificio di misura intermedia fra l’edificio unifamiliare e quello a blocco capace di risolvere gli aspetti relativi alla urbanità ed alla privacy, con un attenzione ed una sensibilità unica nella declinazione dei materiali. ORGANICA ORGANIC MODERNITY MERGER WITH THE TERRITORY IN SIRMIONE The project area is located within a residential area between Via Solferino and Via San Martino della Battaglia, near the center of Sirmione. This very interesting intervention stands on an area that for years has hosted a building of the historic nightlife of Sirmione, the former Kursaal, which has long been in disuse. With a recovery plan, the area has found new life, with the demolition of the ancient building, to make way for free and subsidized housing and the headquarters of the Lina Aimaro Bertasi Foundation. The design system includes three free-standing buildings, each housing 7 lodgings, located at a height of +1.00 to ensure greater privacy for the apartments on the ground floor. Similarly, the building in subsidized housing focuses the utmost attention on the distributive and typological aspects, articulating the complex so as to equip the individual housing units with elements, such as private and condominium gardens, loggias and privileged views that guarantee the quality of living . For the headquarters of the Foundation, the design was oriented towards a largely underground construction, with the exception of the entrance and the relational space, so as to blend perfectly with the future public park at the service of the community. The aesthetic choices make the whole intervention innovative, with the choice of materials and building types of great value and scenic impact. The roofs are sloping and partly covered with low maintenance sedus greenery and partly with perfectly integrated solar and photovoltaic panels. The materials were chosen and evaluated in relation to the context and the implementation of the intervention, such as the coverings, made for the most exposed parts in worked stone of different sizes, so as to relate delicately with the context, or for the more private, in wood, to produce a homogeneous and high-quality effect, integrating and hiding the blinds. The importance of the territory and the integration with it are the nodal point of this intervention by the architects Giovanni Cenna and Carlo Cegan.

Analogamente, l’edificio in edilizia convenzionata, concentra la massima attenzione sugli aspetti distributivi e tipologici, articolando il complesso in modo da dotare le singole unità abitative di elementi, quali giardini privati e condominiali, logge e vedute privilegiate che garantiscano la qualità dell’abitare. Per la sede della Fondazione, la progettazione si è orientata su di una costruzione in gran parte ipogea, ad eccezione dell’ingresso e dello spazio di relazione, così da fondersi alla perfezione con il futuro parco pubblico a servizio della collettività. Le scelte estetiche rendono l’intero intervento innovativo, con la scelta di materiali e tipologie edilizie di grande pregio e impatto scenico. Le coperture sono inclinate ed in parte trattare con manto vegetale di sedus a bassa manutenzione ed in parte con pannelli solari e fotovoltaici perfettamente integrati. I materiai sono stati scelti e valutati in relazione al contesto e alla realizzazione dell’intervento, come i rivestimenti, realizzati per le parti maggiormente esposte in pietra lavorata di diverse dimensioni, così da relazionarsi in modo delicato con il contesto, o per le parti più private, in legno, per produrre un effetto omogeneo e di grande effetto qualitativo, integrandosi e nascondendo gli oscuranti. L’importanza del territorio e l’integrazione con esso sono il punto nodale di questo intervento ad opera degli architetti Giovanni Cenna e Carlo Cegan.

Liberty Garda

un progetto che nasce e si sviluppa attorno ad un recupero architettonico. Casa Liberty Garda per molti anni è scomparsa agli occhi dei suoi concittadini e dei propri turisti. Coperta dalla vegetazione risultava praticamente inesistente. Chiamati ad un vero e proprio recupero degli esterni lo studio Padiglione B ha sviluppato un nuovo progetto che potesse dialogare con le esigenze della nuova proprietà. Si è posta la massima cura su tutto ciò che si poteva valorizzare a partire dalla scala interna per poi passare all’esterno con il rifacimento degli intonaci di calce, così come il rirpistino di parte dei decori esterni e il restaturo della grande scalinata. L’interno ha visto l’impiego di quei materiali da sempre presenti nelle dimore del secolo scorso con l’uso di pavimentazione alla palladiana e di nobile parquet ai piani più alti. Il tema dei bagni sono un omaggio all’uso dei decori più classici degli anni 40 e 50, con l’impiego di mosaico di diverse dimensione abbinate a piastrelle di piccolo formato il tutto giocato con colori vivi e brillanti, grazie all’impiego dello smalto. Ogni bagno è di fatto un progetto a se in cui tutti i componenti dello studio hanno potuto esprimere al meglio qualità, idee per un pensiero architettonico unitario.

LIBERTY GARDA It is a project that was born and developed around an architectural recovery. Casa Liberty Garda disappeared from the eyes of its fellow citizens and tourists for many years. Covered by vegetation it was practically non-existent. Called to carry out a real recovery of the exteriors, the Padiglione B studio developed a new project that could dialogue with the needs of the new ownership. Maximum care was taken on everything that could be enhanced starting from the internal staircase and then moving on to the outside with the resurfacing of the lime plaster, as well as the restoration of part of the external decorations and the restoration of the large staircase. The interior saw the use of those materials that have always been present in the homes of the last century with the use of Palladian flooring and noble parquet on the upper floors.

Un capitolo a se riserva la Cucina oggetto di particolare attenzione. Ripensata in forma moderna e funzionale assolve appieno le esigenze familiari permettendone un uso trasversale degli spazi con un bancone destinato a pranzi veloci o colazioni per tutta la famiglia. I materiali impiegati sono i più classici della tradizione Italiana, ovvero legno in noce canaletto per i pensili e i rivestimenti interni, mentre il marmo appare nella sua veste più classica nel rivestire come uno scrigno l’isola stessa. Per ragioni tecniche e funzionali si è utilizzato una quarzite che garantisce resistenza, prestazioni di tenuta termica ed emoziana al tatto quanto alla vista. Casa Liberty per Padiglione B vuole essere un intervento che non ha snaturato nulla di quanto vi era già più semplicemente si è voluto far emergere ciò che il tempo aveva nascosto e abbandonato.

The theme of the bathrooms is a tribute to the use of the most classic decorations of the 40s and 50s, with the use of mosaics of different sizes combined with small format tiles, all played with lively and brilliant colours, thanks to the use of enamel . Each bathroom is in fact a project in itself in which all the members of the studio were able to best express quality and ideas for a unitary architectural thought. A separate chapter reserves the kitchen the subject of particular attention. Rethought in a modern and functional form, it fully meets family needs, allowing a transversal use of the spaces with a counter intended for quick lunches or breakfasts for the whole family. The materials used are the most classic of the Italian tradition, i.e. Canaletto walnut wood for the wall units and internal coverings, while the marble appears in its most classic guise in covering the island itself like a treasure chest. For technical and functional reasons, a quartzite was used which guarantees resistance, thermal sealing performance and is as emotional to the touch as it is to the sight. Casa Liberty for Pavilion B aims to be an intervention that has not distorted anything of what was already there, more simply we wanted to bring out what time had hidden and abandoned.

Ballarini Interni ha curato questo particolarissimo interior, allestito sartorialmente secondo le esigenze di una famiglia di tre persone, originaria di Monaco, il cui sogno di una casa vacanza sul lago di Garda, ha trovato la sua realizzazione in questo bellissimo appartamento dal sapore green, nell’entroterra di Salò. L’appartamento, situato al piano terra di un complesso bifamilare, di nuova costruzione, dall’impronta del “casolare di campagna”, è composto da cucina e living, oltre a due camere da letto e due bagni, inoltre al piano terra ospita un locale adibito a stanza degli ospiti con bagno indipendente. LIVING THE LAKE IN A COUNTRY COTTAGE IN SALÓ Ballarini Interni has taken care of this very particular interior, sartorially set up according to the needs of a family of three, originally from Monaco, whose dream of a holiday home on Lake Garda has found its realization in this beautiful apartment with a green flavor, in the hinterland of Salò. The apartment, located on the ground floor of a newly built two-family complex, with the imprint of a "country cottage", consists of a kitchen

in modo diretto alla natura, con fibre naturali e colori chiari. L’unica eccezione la troviamo nella cucina, della linea MODULNOVA modello My Kitchen, essenziale nella sua linearità, realizzata in rovere grigio scuro ed impreziosita da superfici laccate. Il soggiorno è la zona cardine dell’abitazione, dove l’area living e la zona studio, dialogano con coerenza. Il divano e la poltrona, entrambi di MAXALTO, declinati in nuance chiare che ricordano le sabbie candide, si contrappongono alla zona studio, realizzata con un piccolo scrittoio/consolle di CATTELAN ITALIA, particolarissima nelle sue geometrie, divise da un mobile che permette la rotazione di 360° del piano tv. Se già nella zona giorno troviamo moltissimi richiami al mare ed alla sua essenza, è nella zona notte che il concetto si sublima, con la scelta di strutture letto realizzate con imbottiti in lino dalle tinte naturali e tenui, prodotti da GERVASONI, sia nella variante matrimoniale, sia nella variante letto singolo, con forme essenziali e minimali.

The living room is the key area of the house, where the living area and the study area interact coherently. The sofa and armchair, both by MAXALTO, declined in light nuances reminiscent of candid sands, contrast with the study area, created with a small desk/console by CATTELAN ITALIA, very particular in its geometries, divided by a piece of furniture that allows view of the TV top. If already in the living area we find many references to the sea and its essence, it is in the sleeping area that the concept is sublimed, with the choice of bed structures made with upholstered linen in natural and soft colors, produced by GERVASONI, both in the double, both in the single bed variant, with essential and minimal shapes.

Protagonisti della nuova rassegna, organizzata dal Comune di Verona in collaborazione col Teatro Stabile di Verona – Cen-tro di Produzione Teatrale, ben quattro spettacoli su testi di autori contem-poranei, tutti e quattro viventi, che si alterneranno a tre grandi classici (Go-gol, Goldoni e Rostand) e un omaggio a Italo Svevo. La contemporaneità dunque sbarca a Verona più forte che mai dimostrando che il teatro sa trat-tare temi di grande attualità come la crisi climatica, la violenza sui minori, la legalità e il valore delle istituzioni. La rassegna, intitolata quest’anno Tempo d’Amore, sottolinea la scelta fatta dalla direzione artistica di Carlo Mangolini di autori che difendono l’amore: quello verso i propri figli, verso le istituzioni democratiche, l’amore di chi si prende cura del proprio pianeta o di chi protegge ad oltranza ogni forma di libertà.

Dal 9 al 14 gennaio SANI! – Teatro tra parentesi Marco Paolini firma e interpreta questo spettacolo su musiche originali composte ed eseguite da Saba Anglana e Lorenzo Monguzzi. Seguendo un filo conduttore autobiografico con storie che raccontano momenti di crisi, Paolini tocca temi come la crisi climatica e la transizione ecologica. In un viaggio nel tempo racconta la crisi della guerra fredda che ebbe come pro-tagonista Stanislav Petrov e il fine settimana in Islanda, a Höfði, che cambiò le sorti del mondo, dell’uomo più solo del mondo, del peso delle cose, del lockdown.

Dal 7 al 12 novembre IL CASO KAUFMANN Trasposizione teatrale dell’omonimo romanzo di Giovanni Grasso ispirato a una storia vera. Leo Kaufmann (Franco Branciaroli), sessantenne vedovo, è uno stimato commerciante ebreo e presidente della comunità ebraica di Norimberga. Un suo grande amico gli chiede di prendersi cura della giova-ne figlia Irene e di aiutarla a stabilirsi a Norimberga. Tra i due s’instaura un rapporto speciale fatto di stima, affetto e attrazione. Lei però è ariana, e le leggi razziali incombono. Regia di Piero Maccarinelli. Dal 21 al 26 novembre LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO Spettacolo basato sull’omonimo romanzo di Italo Svevo “La coscienza di Zeno” di cui ricorre quest’anno il centenario della pubblicazione. Prodotto dal Teatro Stabile del Friuli – Venezia Giulia e da Goldenart Production con la regia di Paolo Valerio, vede in scena nei panni del noto protagoni-sta Alessandro Haber. In scena con lui altri nove attori per fare rivivere in teatro gli episodi salienti della vita di Zeno Cosini che per smettere di fuma-re ricorre alla psicanalisi. Dal 5 al 12 dicembre L’ISPETTORE GENERALE Commedia satirica fra le più divertenti del repertorio teatrale di Nikolaj Go-gol, “L’ispettore generale” si prende gioco della piccolezza morale di chi detiene il potere e si ritiene intoccabile. Scritta nel 1836, è ambientata in una cittadina della Russia zarista dove la notizia della visita di un ispettore generale (Rocco Papaleo) mette in allarme funzionari e notabili. From 21 to 26 November LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO A play based on Italo Svevo's novel of the same name, "La coscienza di Zeno" (TN: "Zeno's Conscience"), whose centenary of publication falls this year. Produced by the Teatro Stabile del Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Goldenart Production, with direction by Paolo Valerio, it stars Alessandro Haber as the well-known protagonist. On stage with him are nine other actors to revive in theatre the salient episodes in the life of Zeno Cosini, who resorts to psychoanalysis to stop smoking.

Dal 23 al 28 gennaio PERFETTI SCONOSCIUTI Sullo sfondo del noto film da lui diretto nel 2016 e campione di incassi oltre che di premi, Paolo Genovese cura la regia di questa versione teatrale. Come nel film, durante una cena un gruppo di amici decide di fare un gioco della verità mettendo i propri cellulari sul tavolo per condividere pubblica-mente messaggi e telefonate. Verranno così alla luce i loro segreti più pro-fondi… con immancabili e divertenti colpi di scena. Written in 1836, it is set in a small town in tsarist Russia where news of a visit by an inspector general (Rocco Papaleo) alarms officials and notables. Directed by Leo Muscato.

From 27 February to 3 March L'UOMO PIU' CRUDELE DEL MONDO (TN: "The cruellest man in the world") Lino Guanciale and Francesco Montanari, directed by Davide Sacco, are the protagonists of this "duet" that pillories the lives of two men and their fragilities. What on earth can drive two men with very different characters, professions and morals to meet, clash, reveal themselves to each other, at first reluctant, then increasingly complicit, then distrustful again and, again, consenting to the stakes on the table? "L'uomo più crudele del mondo" attempts to investigate the unhealthy labyrinths of the mind, the boundary between good and evil, prompting deep reflection on human nature.

From 30 January to 4 February GL'INNAMORATI (TN: "The lovers") Director Andrea Chiodi tackles "Gl'innamorati" by offering new contemporary interpretations of this Goldonian classic. The protagonists are in fact two young people much closer to our time than we think. Two young people who, despite belonging to the 'middle class', cannot yet aspire to economic independence and thus decide independently to form a family.

From 9 to 14 January SANI! - Teatro tra parentesi (TN: "SANI! Theatre in brackets") Marco Paolini signs and performs this show on original music composed and performed by Saba Anglana and Lorenzo Monguzzi. Following an autobiographical thread with stories recounting moments of crisis, Paolini touches on themes such as the climate crisis and ecological transition. From 23 to 28 January PERFETTI SCONOSCIUTI (TN: "Perfect Strangers") Against the backdrop of the well-known film he directed in 2016 and box-office as well as award-winning champion, Paolo Genovese is directing this theatrical version. As in the film, during a dinner party a group of friends decide to play a game of truth by putting their mobile phones on the table to publicly share messages and phone calls. Thus their deepest secrets come to light... with unfailingly funny twists and turns. From 12 to 17 March CYRANO OF BERGERAC Edmond Rostand's play adapted and directed by Arturo Cirillo. The story of Cyrano de Bergerac brought to the stage, accentuating more the poetic and visionary side and less that of a man of the sword and hero of rhetoric, with reworkings of the music of Modugno, but also Èdith Piaf and Fiorenzo Carpi. A theatre of song, or a way of recounting the famous and sad love affair between Cyrano, Rossana and Cristiano not only through words but also through notes. On stage, in addition to Cirillo himself, are Irene Ciani, Rosario Giglio, Francesco Petruzzelli, Giulia Trippetta and Giacomo Vigentini.

STAGIONE LIRICA Dal 22 al 29 ottobre va in scena Amleto, summa artistica del veronese Franco Faccio (1840-1891), compositore e direttore d’orchestra molto ammirato dai massimi musicisti dell’epoca prematuramente scomparso. L’opera, tratta dal più celebre titolo shakespeariano, vantò il libretto di Arrigo Boito e un grande clamore all’epoca del suo debutto ma non fu più ripresa in Italia. Le quattro recite costituiscono la prima rappresentazione italiana dell’opera in epoca contemporanea nel nuovo allestimento di Fondazione Arena con la regia di Paolo Valerio, già direttore del Teatro Stabile, con scene e projection design create da Ezio Antonelli. Sul podio salirà il maestro Giuseppe Grazioli, apprezzato direttore d’orchestra particolarmente attivo nel recupero di autori italiani meno noti tra ‘800 e ‘900. Il quinto appuntamento della Stagione Lirica 2023 (dal 19 al 26 novembre) porta sul palco il dittico che accosta Il Parlatore Eterno, gemma buffa e inedita di Amilcare Ponchielli, eseguita per la prima volta al Filarmonico proprio nel 2021 in streaming, all’intenso atto unico Il Tabarro di Giacomo Puccini, entrambe produzioni realizzate dalla Fondazione Arena di Verona. La regia del Parlatore eterno è dell’areniano Stefano Trespidi, con le scene di Filippo Tonon, il coordinamento ai costumi di Silvia Bonetti e il disegno luci di Paolo Mazzon. Il titolo è accostato alla penultima delle opere piccinina, con la regia di Paolo Gavazzeni e Piero Maranghi, le scene di Leila Fteita, i costumi di Silvia Bonetti e le luci di Paolo Mazzon. Sul podio dell’Orchestra areniana torna Gianna Fratta, direttrice già applaudita al suo debutto veronese nel recente dittico dedicato al teatro del Novecento.

La Stagione Lirica si concluderà con uno dei titoli più appassionanti e apprezzati di Verdi, Un Ballo in Maschera, assente da ben ventun anni dalla programmazione invernale della Fondazione e proposto dal 17 al 23 dicembre nell’allestimento storico del Teatro Regio di Parma in coproduzione con l’Auditorio de Tenerife, nato dal prezioso ritrovamento e restauro delle scenografie disegnate da Giuseppe Carmignani nel 1913 e riportato in scena per la regia di Marina Bianchi e i costumi di Lorena Marin, con la direzione d’orchestra affidata all’applaudito maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa.

From 22nd to 29th October Hamlet will be staged by the artistic summa of the Veronese Franco Faccio (1840-1891), composer and conductor much admired by the greatest musicians of his time, who died prematurely. The opera, taken from the most famous Shakespearean title, boasted by a libretto by Arrigo Boito and a great stir at the time of its debut, was never revived in Italy. The four performances constitute the first Italian performance of the opera in the contemporary era in the new production of Fondazione Arena directed by Paolo Valerio, former director of Teatro Stabile, with scenes and projection design created by Ezio Antonelli. Maestro Giuseppe Grazioli will take the podium, an esteemed conductor who was particularly active in the recovery of lesser-known Italian authors between the 19th and 20th centuries. The fifth appointment of the 2023 Opera Season (from 19 to 26 November) brings to the stage the diptych that combines Il Parlatore Eterno, a funny and unpublished gem by Amilcare Ponchielli, performed for the first time at the Filarmonico in 2021 in streaming, with the intense act Il Tabarro by Giacomo Puccini, both productions created by the Arena di Verona Foundation. Il Parlatore Eterno is directed by Stefano Trespidi, with scenes by Filippo Tonon, costume coordination by Silvia Bonetti and lighting design by Paolo Mazzon. The title is side by side to the penultimate of the Piccinina works, directed by Paolo Gavazzeni and Piero Maranghi, the sets by Leila Fteita, the costumes by Silvia Bonetti and the lights by Paolo Mazzon. Gianna Fratta returns to the podium of the Arena Orchestra, a conductor already applauded in her Veronese debut in the recent diptych dedicated to twentieth-century theatre. The Opera Season will end with one of Verdi's most exciting and appreciated titles, Un Ballo in Maschera, absent for twenty-one years from the Foundazione's winter programming and proposed from 17 to 23 December in the historic staging of the Teatro Regio of Parma in co-production with the Auditorio de Tenerife. It is born from the precious discovery and restoration of the sets designed by Giuseppe Carmignani in 1913 and brought back to the stage directed by Marina Bianchi with costumes by Lorena Marin, with the orchestra conducting entrusted to the acclaimed maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa .

Proseguono fino al 2 dicembre gli appuntamenti sinfonici che hanno visto protagonisti il Coro e l’Orchestra della Fondazione Arena di Verona affiancati da Direttori e solisti di fama internazionale, molti dei quali giovani di talento al proprio esordio veronese. Il 3 e 4 novembre il direttore e violinista russo di fama mondiale Sergej Krylov porta la sua effervescente musicalità, il virtuosismo strabiliante e l’intenso lirismo al Teatro Filarmonico interpretando le musiche contemporanee di Pärt, Bosso, Bartók. Il 1 e 2 dicembre debutta la Teatro Filarmonico Valentina Peleggi, descritta come “2018 Rising Star” dal BBC Music Magazine, Direttore Musicale della Richmond Symphony Orchestra negli Stati Uniti e del Teatro San Pedro in Brasile. Su musiche di Purcell, Saint-Saëns, Poulenc, Fauré dirigerà l’orchestra ed il Soprano Francesca Maionchi e il Baritono Damiano Salerno. Come da tradizione, inoltre, si conferma l’appuntamento del tradizionale Concerto di Fine Anno del 31 dicembre per attendere l’arrivo del 2024 in una vera e propria festa in musica.

The symphonic events featuring the Coro and Orchestra of Fondazione Arena di Verona alongside internationally renowned conductors and soloists, many of whom are talented young people making their Veronese debut, continue until 2 December. On 3 and 4 November, the world-famous Russian conductor and violinist Sergej Krylov brings his effervescent musicality, astonishing virtuosity and intense lyricism to the Philharmonic Theatre, interpreting the contemporary music of Pärt, Bosso, Bartók. nnovazione, trasversalità tra i linguaggi e multidisciplinarietà, attenzione ai giovani talenti, sono i punti di forza della nuova Stagione al Teatro Ristori. Tante sono le sue anime che portano sullo stesso palco danza, musica, serate d’autore e molto altro, ma ciò che le unisce è l’arte come strumento di inclusione, coesione sociale, sostenibilità e benessere della comunità. In questa nuova stagione alle porte sono oltre trenta gli appuntamenti da settembre alla primavera 2024, anche con prime nazionali, che attestano il Teatro Ristori come luogo di riferimento culturale e artistico di qualità a Verona.

Stagione Jazz

La nuova Stagione si è aperta a settembre con il ritorno del leggendario Steve Gadd, batterista, tra i musicisti più significativi ed influenti del panorama jazz. Protagonisti del jazz al Ristori saranno il 31 ottobre Joey Calderazzo, già pianista di Michael Brecker e Branford Marsalis, con il suo quartetto; il 16 novembre il nuovo progetto “latineggiante” LegnoMadre, nato dalla passione per la musica cubana e brasiliana del contrabbassista salentino Marco Bardoscia; il 13 febbraio il duo formato da Michael League, fondatore di Snarky Puppy, polistrumentista e vincitore di Grammy e Bill Laurance, icona del pianoforte, ci portano in un luogo immaginario di bellezza ed energia; il 31 gennaio il jazz personale, unico e moderno di Maria Pia De Vito con il suo quintetto nel nuovo lavoro discografico.

ONE SEASON, MANY SOULS AT THE RISTORI THEATRE JAZZ, DANCE, AUTHOR'S SOIRÉES, BAROQUE MUSIC, DINNER SHOWS AND FAMILY THEATRE: OVER THIRTY EVENTS IN A BALANCED MIX OF INNOVATION AND TRADITION by Agnese Ceschi Innovation, transversality between languages and multidisciplinarity, and attention to young talent are the strong points of the new season at the Ristori Theatre. Many are its souls that bring dance, music, author's evenings and much more onto the same stage, but what unites them is art as a tool for inclusion, social cohesion, sustainability and community wellbeing. In this new season just around the corner there are more than thirty appointments from September to Spring 2024, also with national premieres, attesting the Ristori Theatre as a quality cultural and artistic reference point in Verona.

Jazz Season

The new Season opened in September with the return of the legendary Steve Gadd, drummer and one of the most significant and influential musicians on the jazz scene. The stars of jazz at the Ristori will be Joey Calderazzo, former pianist with Michael Brecker and Branford Marsalis, with his quartet on 31 October; on 16 November the new "latinising" project LegnoMadre, born from the passion for Cuban and Brazilian music of Salento double bassist Marco Bardoscia; on 13 February, the duo formed by Michael League, founder of Snarky Puppy, multi-instrumentalist and Grammy winner, and Bill Laurance, a piano icon, take us to an imaginary place of beauty and energy; on 31 January, the personal, unique and modern jazz of Maria Pia De Vito with her quintet in her new recording.

Il 17 marzo Brad Mehldau, pianista dalla straordinaria vena poetica presenterà "Piano Solo”, mentre per l’International Jazz Day ci sarà il debutto al Ristori di Tosca in una prima nazionale con Rita Marcotulli. Il 30 aprile Gonzalo Rubalcaba, stella del jazz mondiale, sarà protagonista di un concerto in trio, quindi, a chiudere la Rassegna Jazz, il 15 maggio, una prima europea con John Patitucci, bassista e contrabbassista statunitense di origini italiane, accompagnato da Dave Weckl, tra i batteristi jazz/fusion più influenti e tecnicamente dotati di tutti i tempi e dal pianista Joey Calderazzo.

Serate d’autore

Inaugurate con successo nella scorsa Stagione, salgono a quattro gli appuntamenti con figure riconosciute della cultura e della comunicazione. A ottobre Roberto Mercadini, monologhista, filosofo e “poeta parlante”, porterà due serate: la prima, sulla storia vera ed incredibile della bomba atomica, tra orrore ed ironia; la seconda sull’Orlando Furioso di Ludovico Ariosto, in cui fantasia ed estro si rincorrono in un cosmo incantato, meraviglioso e visionario. Dopo Mercadini, il filosofo e antropologo Umberto Galimberti a marzo e, ad aprile, “Paradiso. Dalle tenebre alla luce”, il nuovo lavoro teatrale di Simone Cristicchi, di cui è regista, attore, autore delle canzoni.

A novembre il via alla rassegna per le famiglie in cui saranno protagonisti il Children’s Museum di Verona con lo show “Spettacol-aria” ed il Liceo Coreutico “Agli Angeli” di Verona con “Pierino e il lupo” di Sergej Prokofiev. A marzo una rilettura dell’immortale “Il Piccolo Principe” di Antoine de Saint-Exupéry nella nuova produzione del Teatro Ristori in collaborazione con Atelier Elisabetta Garilli, accompagnate dalle illustrazioni materiche di Serena Abagnato.

Cene spettacolo

Ritorna in tre serate (1, 17 e 29 dicembre) il format più innovativo che ha segnato la scorsa Stagione. Il Teatro Ristori si trasformerà in un club esclusivo con cene spettacolo a tema, in un’atmosfera sofisticata ed elegante che preannuncia il clima natalizio e il Capodanno.

On 17 March Brad Mehldau, a pianist with an extraordinary poetic vein will present "Piano Solo", while for International Jazz Day there will be the debut at the Ristori of Tosca in a national premiere with Rita Marcotulli. On 30 April Gonzalo Rubalcaba, world jazz star, will be the protagonist of a trio concert, then, to close the Jazz Review, on 15 May, a European premiere with John Patitucci, American bassist and double bass player of Italian origin, accompanied by Dave Weckl, one of the most influential and technically gifted jazz/fusion drummers of all time, and pianist Joey Calderazzo.

Author's soirées

Successfully inaugurated last season, the number of appointments with recognised figures from the world of culture and communication increases to four. In October, Roberto Mercadini, monologist, philosopher and 'talking poet', will bring two evenings: the first, on the true and incredible story of the atomic bomb, between horror and irony; the second on Ludovico Ariosto's Orlando Furioso, in which fantasy and inspiration chase each other in an enchanted, marvellous and visionary cosmos. After Mercadini, the philosopher and anthropologist Umberto Galimberti in March and, in April, "Paradise. Dalle tenebre alla luce", the new theatrical work by Simone Cristicchi, of which he is director, actor and songwriter.

Families at the theatre

November will see the start of the family festival featuring the Children's Museum of Verona with the show "Spettacol-aria" and the Liceo Coreutico "Agli Angeli" of Verona with "Pierino e il lupo" by Sergej Prokofiev. In March, a reinterpretation of the immortal "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in the new production by Teatro Ristori in collaboration with Atelier Elisabetta Garilli, accompanied by Serena Abagnato's material illustrations.

L’opera a Teatro

Una particolare attenzione va dedicata alla messa in scena, nel prossimo gennaio, dell’opera di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart su libretto di Lorenzo Da Ponte “Don Giovanni”, inserita nel Festival Mozart a Verona. Vuole essere un progetto pilota per valorizzare un’altra peculiarità del Teatro Ristori: quella di essere un luogo perfetto per l’opera barocca e classica.

Ristori Baroque Festival dal 15 al 28 febbraio 2024

Formula più concentrata per la seconda edizione del Ristori Baroque Festival che, tra il 15 e il 28 febbraio 2024, propone sette appuntamenti di musica barocca, alcuni con sorprendenti contaminazioni, tra le sedi del Ristori e lo Spazio di San Pietro in Monastero (via Garibaldi) cui si aggiungono gli appuntamenti “OFF” in luoghi diffusi in città, con approfondimenti, incontri con gli artisti e momenti di convivialità.

Danza

Da febbraio 2024 debutterà anche il calendario della danza che vedrà protagonisti la Compagnia BlucinQue Nice, per la prima volta al Teatro Ristori; la Yue Yin Dance Company della coreografa cino-americana Yin Yue, creatrice dell'innovativa FoCo Tecnique (Folk-Contemporary); Simone Repele e Sasha Riva con un balletto liberamente ispirato alla vita di Lili Elbe - la prima trans gender della storia; Sergio Bernal, re del flamenco e star internazionale del balletto classico e del classico spagnolo; la MM Contemporary Dance Company con un nuovo spettacolo composto da due coreografie inedite firmate da Mauro Bigonzetti ed Enrico Morelli; la Compagnia giapponese diretta da Saburo Teshigawara & Rihoko Sato. Infine la proposta della danza si completa con lo “Lo Schiaccianoci”, inserito nella particolare programmazione di dicembre e con “Phenix” spettacolo della Compagnia francese Kafig, nel cartellone del Ristori Baroque Festival.

Dinner Shows

The most innovative format that marked the last season returns in three evenings (1, 17 and 29 December). The Ristori Theatre will be transformed into an exclusive club with themed dinner shows, in a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere heralding the Christmas and New Year's Eve season.

Opera at the Theatre

Special attention should be paid to the staging, next January, of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera 'Don Giovanni', based on Lorenzo Da Ponte's libretto, as part of the Mozart Festival in Verona. It is intended to be a pilot project to enhance another peculiarity of the Ristori Theatre: that of being a perfect venue for baroque and classical opera.

Ristori Baroque Festival from 15 to 28 February 2024

A more concentrated formula for the second edition of the Ristori Baroque Festival which, between 15 and 28 February 2024, proposes seven appointments of baroque music, some with surprising contaminations, between the venues of the Ristori and the Spazio di San Pietro in Monastero (via Garibaldi) to which are added "OFF" appointments in places scattered around the city, with in-depth studies, meetings with the artists and moments of conviviality.

Dance

February 2024 will also see the debut of the dance calendar featuring the Compagnia BlucinQue Nice, for the first time at the Teatro Ristori; the Yue Yin Dance Company of the Chinese-American choreographer Yin Yue, creator of the innovative FoCo Tecnique (Folk-Contemporary); Simone Repele and Sasha Riva with a ballet freely inspired by the life of Lili Elbe - the first trans-gender in history; Sergio Bernal, king of flamenco and international star of Spanish classical ballet; the MM Contemporary Dance Company with a new show composed of two new choreographies signed by Mauro Bigonzetti and Enrico Morelli; the Japanese Company directed by Saburo Teshigawara & Rihoko Sato. Finally, the dance proposal is completed with "The Nutcracker", included in the special December programme, and with "Phenix", a show by the French company Kafig, in the Ristori Baroque Festival programme.
