Cari lettori,

Dear readers,

in un secondo è passato anche il 2021. Un anno che speravamo fosse meno difficile del suo predecessore, e sicuramente lo è stato, pur tenendoci sempre sull’altolà. Ora che stiamo iniziando a rilassarci e che potremo passare le vacanze con i nostri cari, siamo fiduciosi che piano piano si potra ritornare a una realtà piu normale, forse migliore di prima, in cui ci potremo riappriopriare degli spazi della città, della provincia e del lago con piu serenità ma anche consapevolezza. Le nostre case possono finalmente ospitare gli amici e i parenti, magari ancora più belle e vivibili di prima grazie alle nuove esigenze di benessere e rispetto per l’ambiente. La bellezza, comunque, non si è mai presa una pausa, e ha continuato a prosperare, nelle vie di Verona e nelle menti degli architetti e degli interior designer. Con questo pensiero Ballarini Interni coglie l’occasione per augurarvi un Buon Natale e un sereno Anno Nuovo.

Now that we will be able to relax and spend the holidays with our loved ones, we are confident that little by little we will be able to return to a more normal reality, perhaps better than before, in which we will be able to regain the spaces of the city, the province and the lake with more serenity but also awareness. Our homes can finally accommodate friends and relatives, perhaps even more beautiful and liveable than before thanks to the new standards of living and respect for the environment. Beauty, however, never took a break, and continued to thrive in the streets of Verona and in the minds of architects and interior designers. ra 1324 e il 1326, Cangrande della Scala costruì la cinta muraria di Verona, raddoppiando la città medievale allora esistente, perché fosse una delle maggiori del nord Italia. Questa idea magnifica di Verona come capitale svanì con la caduta della signoria scaligera, ma il grande perimetro urbano rimase adeguato e inalterato nei secoli. Sotto il dominio della Repubblica di Venezia importanti ingegneri e architetti militari, come Michele Sanmicheli nel XVI seolo, rifecero una parte delle mura scaligere trasformandole in bastioni, affinché fossero resistenti alle nuove armi da fuoco. Costruirono anche le porte come splendide architetture ispirate al mondo classico (in particolare Porta Nuova e Porta Palio).

The walls of Verona, UNESCO heritage Between 1324 and 1326, Cangrande della Scala built the walls of Verona, doubling the medieval city then existing, to make it one of the largest in northern Italy. This magnificent idea of Verona as the capital vanished with the fall of the Scala family, but the large urban perimeter remained adequate and unchanged over the centuries. Under the dominion of the Republic of Venice, important engineers and military architects, such as Michele Sanmicheli in the 16th century, rebuilt a part of the Scala walls, transforming them into bastions, so that they were resistant to the new firearms. They also built the doors as splendid architecture inspired by the classical world (in particular Porta Nuova and Porta Palio).

A partire dal 1833, il governo degli Asburgo e il loro feldmaresciallo Josef Radetzky investirono Franz von Scholl dell’incarico di rinforzare e adeguare le difese di Verona. Il limite delle città rimaneva il medesimo, ma il segno inconfondibile delle pareti ad opus poligonale asburgiche si integrava alla cortina delle mura trecentesche, conservata nella linea collinare, e alle fortificazioni venete di pianura (rondelle e bastioni pentagonali). La sequenza delle costruzioni è ancora perfettamente leggibile. Verona è stata proclamata World Heritage Site il 30 novembre 2000, sottolineando l’unicità di questa cinta muraria magistrale quale espressione del criterio IV di iscrizione alla lista del patrimonio mondiale: «Verona rappresenta in modo eccezionale il concetto della città fortificata in più tappe caratteristico della storia europea». In questi ultimi anni, il percorso di 11 km di mura tra la collina e il piano è stato oggetto di tutela e di valorizzazione. Il progetto principale per pianificare la conservazione è il rilievo digitale conoscitivo affidato al Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Architettura dell’Università di Pavia. Sono state messe in atto, poi, delle iniziative per “restituire” gli spazi delle mura ai cittadini, favorendo anche la fruizione dei turisti. La manifestazione di punta è il MuraFestival che durante i mesi estivi anima i bastioni con attività sportive, ricreative e di spettacolo. Si chiamano Tramonti UNESCO, invece, le passeggiate guidate serali verso la cinta di collina, in programma da giugno a settembre, che dal Bastione delle Maddalene portano il visitatore alla Rondella di San Zeno in Monte, dove Verona mostra i suoi colori dall’alto, al calar del sole.

Starting in 1833, the Habsburg government and their field marshal Josef Radetzky entrusted Franz von Scholl with the task of reinforcing and adapting the defenses of Verona. The city limits remained the same, but the unmistakable sign of the Habsburg polygonal opus walls was integrated with the curtain of the fourteenth-century walls, preserved in the hilly line, and with the Venetian plain fortifications (washers and pentagonal bastions). The sequence of the constructions is still perfectly legible. Verona was proclaimed a World Heritage Site on November 30, 2000, underlining the uniqueness of this master wall as an expression of criterion IV for inclusion in the world heritage list: "Verona represents in an exceptional way the concept of the fortified city in several stages, characteristic of the European history". In recent years, the path of 11 km of walls between the hill and the plain has been the object of protection and enhancement. The main project for planning conservation is the cognitive digital survey entrusted to the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Pavia. Initiatives were then put in place to "give back" the spaces of the walls to the citizens, also favoring the use of tourists. The most important event in this context is the MuraFestival which, during the summer months, animates the ramparts with sporting, recreational and entertainment activities. On the other hand, the UNESCO Sunsets -scheduled from June to September- are guided night walks towards the hillside, which take the visitor from the Maddalene Bastion to the Rondella of San Zeno in Monte, where Verona shows its colors from above, when the sun goes down.

A consegnare i quattro premi e le menzioni speciali sono stati Paola Bonuzzi, vicepresidente dell’Ordine degli Architetti di Verona, e Alberto Vignolo, direttore della Rivista Architettiverona. Per la sezione “Allestimento e interni” il vincitore è il progetto di “Illuminazione dell’ipogeo di Santa Maria in Stelle” a Verona dello Studio La Luce Architettura delle architette Lorella Marconi e Cinzia Todeschini, che ha saputo “lavorare la luce” come “filo conduttore ed elemento narrativo”, valorizzando “l’unicità degli spazi ipogei e la loro storia”. The Ceremony took place on 24 September at the Murlongo Park in Costermano, the complex of holiday homes built in the early 70s by the Milanese architect Angelo Mangiarotti, a place of high architectural value that turns 50 this year. The four prizes and special mentions were awarded by Paola Bonuzzi, vice president of the Order of Architects of Verona, and Alberto Vignolo, director of the Rivista Architettiverona. For the “Staging and interiors” section, the winner is the "Lighting of the hypogeum of Santa Maria in Stelle" in Verona by Studio La Luce Architettura by architects Lorella Marconi and Cinzia Todeschini, who knew how to “work light” as a

Il riconoscimento “Ad Honorem”, il premio speciale alla carriera, va agli architetti Luigi Calcagni (alla memoria, 1929 - 2020) e Luciano Cenna, per il sodalizio professionale pluriennale che ha disegnato il volto moderno di Verona e del suo territorio.

For the section “Public spaces and landscape”, the prize goes to the “Brolo della Cantina Gorgo” in Custoza Sommacampagna, of the Bricolo Falsarella Associati studio of Filippo Bricolo and Francesca Falsarella “for the construction of a representative landscape of the wine-growing context through the use of narrative sequences composed of plant and constructed elements”. The second mention for the “Restoration and recovery” category goes to the "Country house in Chievo", in Verona, a project by the Wok architects associate studio, by architects Marcello Bondavalli, Nicola Brenna and Carlo Alberto Tagliabue, for their reinterpretation of the rural building with “a rich and articulated spatial quality both in the interiors and in the definition of the garden spaces”. The “Ad Honorem” award, the special career award, goes to the architects Luigi Calcagni (in memory, 1929 2020) and Luciano Cenna, for their multi-year professional partnership that has designed the modern face of Verona and its territory.

NEL MESE DI NOVEMBRE SI SONO TENUTE TRE CONVERSAZIONI PROMOSSE DALL’ORDINE DEGLI ARCHITETTI DI VERONA PER VALORIZZARE IL RUOLO SOCIALE E “POLITICO” DELL’ARCHITETTO. TRE CONVERSAZIONI CON ARCHITETTI “NAZIONALI” E VERONESI SULLA FIGURA, FUNZIONE E RUOLO DELL’ARCHITETTO OGGI, ATTRAVERSO I TEMI DELL’ETICA, DELL’ARCHITETTURA PARTECIPATA E DELL’ESTETICA

re incontri “aperitivo in cantina”, con l’idea di sdoganare i "discorsi tra noi", quelli tra architetti e addetti ai lavori in un luogo istituzionale, in un ambiente accogliente come una cantina vitivinicola con un bicchiere di vino in mano. L'idea è stata quella di fare conversare un architetto "nazionale" con uno "locale" affine per pensiero, su un tema comune, legato al mestiere dell’architetto. Ne sono uscite riflessioni per riprendere la profondità di questa professione creativa che mette al centro l’uomo, la comunità, la bellezza, per ridare valore al suo ruolo all’interno della comunità. I luoghi e la scelta delle cantine sono stati utilizzati come narrazioni di spazio e tempo che prendono forma, e sapore. Laa partecipazione era aperta alla cittadinanza, non solo ad architetti e ingegneri. Si è partiti con una conversazione sull’architettura come etica e formazione, nel WineShop Villa San Carlo a Montorio. Qui si è discusso del progetto “La scuola di gomme”, costruita in un villaggio beduino tra Gerusalemme e Gerico. Ne ha parlato il suo progettista, l’architetto milane-

se Alessio Battistella, docente allo IED di Torino e al Politecnico di Milano, socio fondatore e presidente della Società Cooperativa ARCò – Architettura e Cooperazione che ha realizzato la scuola con 2200 pneumatici recuperati da discariche. Con Battistella ha dialogato l’architetto veronese Mario Bellavite, attivo nel settore del design, esperto nella progettazione pubblica con particolare attenzione alla qualità degli spazi. Il secondo incontro si è svolto nella sede della Cantina Farina di Pedemonte con gli ospiti Gianluca Peluffo, tra i maggiori architetti italiani, e Filippo Bricolo, architetto veronese, docente al Politecnico di Milano e titolare dello Studio Bricolo-Falsarella. L’incontro dal titolo “Costruire cittadini, coltivare dubbi”, ha affrontato l’architettura come “politica”, come atto pubblico e “luogo di incontro fra il sentire individuale e il sentire collettivo di una comunità”, come progetto partecipato e partecipativo al servizio della polis. I due architetti hanno anche presentato i loro due libri più recenti - di Peluffo “” (Marsilio, luglio 2021) e di Bricolo (2020) “Forse: 31 dubbi sull’Architettura”. Gli incontri si sono conclusi

con “Stile che cambia, dal Mediterraneo ai Paesi dell’Est” a Villa Spinosa, su quanto i luoghi incidono sulla forma, sullo stile e sull’approccio costruttivo degli architetti. Quanta coscienza abbiamo - come professionisti e come cittadini – dell’estetica dei territori in cui viviamo o su cui dobbiamo intervenire? Hanno risposto sul concetto di estetica con Mosè Ricci, ordinario di Urbanistica e Progettazione all’Università di Trento e l’architetto veronese Paolo Richelli. Ad accomunare gli ospiti, il tema dell’evoluzione dei canoni estetici, rispetto al tempo e ai luoghi. Il tema è stato affrontato a partire dal Mediterraneo su cui Ricci ha impostato, per l’Accademia dei Lincei, la sua ricerca collettiva ed internazionale “Midways”. Dal Mediterraneo fino ai Paesi dell’Est, aree che Richelli conosce e che, oggi, sono oggetto di grandi rivoluzioni urbanistiche. Le conversazioni sono state tutte moderate dall’architetto Daniela Cavallo coordinatrice del progetto e agli incontri sono stati presenti Matteo Faustini, Presidente dell’Ordine e la vicepresidente Paola Bonuzzi.

with a "local", with a similar school of thought, on a common theme, linked to the profession of the architect. What came out were reflections to recapture the depth of this creative profession that puts at the center man, community, beauty, and restore its value within the community. The places and the choice of cellars have been used as narratives of space and time that take shape and flavor. The participation was open to citizens, not just architects and engineers. The first conversation was on the theme of architecture as ethics and education, in the WineShop Villa San Carlo in Montorio. Here, the project “La scuola di gomme” (The tire school), built in a Bedouin village between Jerusalem and Jericho, was discussed. It was told by its designer, the Milanese architect Alessio Battistella, professor at the IED in Turin and at the Polytechnic of Milan, founding member and president of the Cooperative ARCò - Architecture and Cooperation which built the school with 2200 tires recovered from landfills. The Veronese architect Mario Bellavite, active in the design sector and expert in public planning with particular attention to the quality of spaces, had a dialogue with Battistella. The second meeting took place at the headquarters of the Farina winery in Pedemonte. The guests were Gianluca Peluffo, one of the major Italian architects and Filippo Bricolo, an architect from Verona, professor at the Milan Polytechnic and owner of Studio Bricolo-Falsarella. The meeting, called “Building citizens, cultivating doubts”, was about architecture as “politics”, as a public act and “meeting place between the individual feeling and the collective feeling of a community”, as participatory project at the service of the polis. In addition to their two most recent books - by Peluffo “Il giuramento di Pan. Per una fratellanza estetico-politica in Architettura” (The oath of Pan. For an aesthetic-political brotherhood in Architecture) (Marsilio, July 2021) and Bricolo (2020) “Forse: 31 dubbi sull’Architettura” (Maybe: 31 doubts about Architecture). The event ended with “Styles that change, from the Mediterranean to Eastern Countries” at Villa Spinosa, or how much places affect the shape, style and constructive approach of architects. How much awareness do we have - as professionals and as citizens - of the aesthetics of the territories in which we live or on which we want to intervene? Mosè Ricci, professor of Urban Planning and Design at the University of Trento and the Veronese architect Paolo Richelli answered these questions. To unite the guests, it was the theme of the evolution of aesthetic canons, with respect to time and places. The theme that was addressed starting from the Mediterranean, on which Ricci, for the Accademia dei Lincei, developed his collective and international research “Midways”. From the Mediterranean to the Eastern countries, areas that Richelli knows and which, today, are the subject of major urban revolutions. The conversations were all moderated by the architect Daniela Cavallo, coordinator of the project, and the meetings were attended by Matteo Faustini, President of the Order and Vice President Paola Bonuzzi.

L’ARCHITETTO PLURIPREMIATO MICHELE PERLINI TORNA ALLA MILANO DESIGN WEEK CON UNO DEI PROGETTI PIÙ ACCLAMATI DI QUESTA EDIZIONE urante il FuoriSalone di Milano 2021, Michele Perlini firma una nuova idea esperienziale incentrata sulla sostenibilità e mobilità. Michele Perlini, architetto e interior designer veronese, ritorna al FuoriSalone di Milano con un nuovo progetto che combina design ed esperienze sensoriali alla mobilità urbana. Dopo il successo di NO.MADE ed EDEN, entrambi vincitori degli ICONIC Awards nel 2018 e 2019, e finalista agli Architizer di New York, l’architetto torna nella città meneghina con un nuovo concetto di tram, inteso non più come mezzo di trasporto anonimo e impersonale ma bensì come luogo polifunzionale itinerante sul quale salire per conoscere, sperimentare ed interagire. Lo storico tram K35 del 1920, grazie ad un makeover interno ed esterno, si trasforma in un elegante spazio arredato secondo criteri ecosostenibili, dentro al quale un’attenta selezione di brand internazionali proporranno

The historic K35 tram from 1920, thanks to an internal and external makeover, is transformed into an elegant space furnished according to eco-sustainable criteria, within which a careful selection of international brands will offer activities and events focused on sustainable design and craftsmanship. The architect wanted to create a space where you can interact, create connections and experiences in the heart of Milan by moving through the streets of the historic center of Brera. The interior of the tram is conceived as a large open space, in which the seats, covered in precious eco-sustainable fabrics, frame the long tables in sintered stone, resting on natural oiled parquet, while the gold-pleated kitchen console stands out from the bottom of the tram. Each day was dedicated to designing a different sense to culminate with the experience of sight and hearing with DJ sets and a videomapping show that told about some of the architect's projects, his villas and hotels awarded in the last year.

rogettare e realizzare la casa dei propri sogni è un importante momento della vita di una persona, di una coppia, di una famiglia. La casa è prima di tutto un luogo dove si costruiscono dei ricordi e per questo merita una giusta attenzione. Questo approccio alla ricerca del benessere nell’ambiente domestico è ciò che guida ormai da quasi 15 anni lo studio associato di progettazione Effequattro. Abbiamo intervistato il geometra Massimo Bertaiola, uno dei soci fondatori, per scoprire come sta cambiando il mondo dell’edilizia e della progettazione delle case ed i gusti dei consumatori. Come e quando è nato il vostro studio? Studio Effequattro è uno studio di progettazione. Io ed il mio socio, Davide Castelluccio, lo abbiamo fondato nel 2007 partendo dall’esigenza di un cliente. Diamo un servizio completo di progettazione e design edile garantendo la copertura totale dei servizi di progettazione dedicati all’ambito edilizio. Ci occupiamo dal rilievo topografico, all’agibilità fino alla progettazione della casa finita e arredata. Inoltre offriamo consulenza anche per attività catastale, supporto documentale per successioni. Il vostro studio di progettazione ha un approccio internazionale…

Una casa moderna tra vecchie e nuove esigenze

Dal 2007 abbiamo accumulato una significativa esperienza all’estero, specialmente nei Paesi africani, ma anche in Russia o a Cipro. Ci riteniamo uno studio di progettazione mentalmente aperto, troviamo stimolante varcare i confini nazionali o confrontarci con altre culture. A volte le abbiamo anche trovate a casa nostra, perché il Lago di Garda ci offre la possibilità di progettare case di privati di nazionalità straniera, che scelgono questa località

come seconda casa o per degli investimenti. Qual’è la vostra filosofia? Non costruiamo edifici, ma case. Vogliamo che le persone si sentano a proprio agio nell’ambiente in cui vivono. Per questo il nostro mestiere non è fatto solo di tecnica, ma anche di psicologia. Da cosa partite quando progettate una casa? Per prima cosa è importante affidarsi a persone di cui ci si fida. La casa non è un posto per tutti, va curato nei dettagli. Il progettista è chiamato a capire le esigenze del cliente: qual’è la cosa che li fa stare bene? Noi cerchiamo di avere un approccio olistico, perché dobbiamo creare un luogo che crei ricordi. Qual’è la richiesta più stravagante che avete ricevuto? È capitato in una ristrutturazione di una famiglia che aveva acquistato un ex convento, un edificio molto grande, che mi chiedessero un bagno con due water affiancati. Che cambiamenti ha comportato il Covid nel modo di vivere e progettare la casa? C’è stata un’impennata di ricerca di case con spazi esterni, le persone si sono accorte di quanto fosse un valore aggiunto avere uno

spazio di respiro. Quindi sono molto richieste le case con il giardino o con terrazzi importanti dove avere valvola di sfogo. Inoltre il Covid ha portato un’esasperata ricerca di materiali naturali e sostenibili, di ventilazione meccanica che consenta di convogliare in casa aria pulita e priva di batteri. Qual’è l’errore più comune? Per me l’errore più comune è voler fare una casa da rivista, poco funzionale e fredda. La casa giusta è quella dove sto bene, ma non devo stare attento a dove metto i piedi.

A modern home between old and new necessities by Agnese Ceschi Designing and building the dream house is an important step in the life of a person, a couple, a family. The home is first of all a place where memories are built and for this reason it deserves a lot of attention. This approach to the search for well-being at home is what has been driving the Effequattro associate design studio for almost 15 years now. We interviewed the surveyor Massimo Bertaiola, founder of the studio, to find out how the world of construction and home design and consumers’ taste are changing. How and when was your studio born? Studio Effequattro is a design studio. My partner, Davide Castelluccio and I founded it in 2007 starting from a client’s demand. We provide complete planning and building design service, guaranteeing full coverage of the design services dedicated to the building sector. We take care of the topographical survey, viability up to the design of the finished and furnished house. We also offer consultancy for cadastral activities and documentary support for succession practices. Your design studio has an international approach ... Since 2007 we have accumulated significant experience abroad, especially in African countries, but also in Russia or Cyprus. We consider ourselves a mentally open design studio and we find it stimulating to cross national borders or to compare ourselves with other cultures. Sometimes we have also found them in our home, because Lake Garda offers us the

possibility of designing homes for private individuals of foreign nationality, who choose this location as a second home or for investments. What is your philosophy? We do not build houses, but homes. We want people to feel comfortable in the environment in which they live. This is why our job is not based only on technique, but also psychology. What is your starting point when you design a house? First, it is important to rely on people you trust. The house is not a place for everyone, it must be taken care of in detail. The designer is called to understand the customer's needs: what is the thing that makes them feel good? We try to have a holistic approach, because we have to create a place that creates memories. What is the most extravagant request you have received? In a renovation for a family who had bought a former convent, a very large building, they asked me for a bathroom with two toilets side by side. What changes has Covid brought about in the way of living and designing the house? There has been a surge in the search for houses with outdoor spaces, people have realized how much it was an added value to have a breathing space. Therefore, houses with gardens or important terraces where to have an escape valve are in great demand. In addition, Covid has led to an exasperated search for natural and sustainable materials, mechanical ventilation that allows you to convey clean, bacteria-free air into the home. What is the most common mistake? For me, the most common mistake is wanting to make a “magazine house”, not very functional and cold. The right house is the one where I feel good, but I don’t have to be careful where I walk.

EFFICIENZA ENERGETICA E SOSTENIBILITÀ Verona Green Living adotta scelte progettuali innovative per creare abitazioni in grado di soddisfare le moderne esigenze abitative. Questa attitudine ha accompagnato tutto il processo di riprogettazione, sia degli spazi interni privati che degli spazi esterni. Il risultato è un progetto in classe energetica A2, dove le palazzine residenziali hanno un impianto fotovoltaico indipendente. Ogni appartamento è dotato di un impianto a pompa di calore ad aria e un sistema di riscaldamento radiante a pavimento per il massimo comfort. Le ringhiere dei balconi sono state studiate nel dettaglio per permettere di avere un sistema integrato che “ospita” il verde al loro interno. Oltre al progetto di ristrutturazione delle unità abitative, esiste anche un concept separato per la ristrutturazione delle aree esterne con inverdimento con piante autoctone. ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND SUSTAINABILITY Verona Green Living adopts innovative design choices to create houses capable of satisfying modern housing needs. This attitude accompanied the entire redesign process, both of the private internal spaces and of the external spaces. The result is an A2 energy class project, where the residential buildings have an independent photovoltaic system. Each apartment is equipped with an air heat pump system and a radiant floor heating system for maximum comfort. The railings of the balconies have been studied in detail to allow for an integrated system that “hosts” the greenery inside them. In addition to the renovation project of the housing units, there is also a separate concept for the renovation of the outdoor areas with native plants greening. The goal is to restore the authentic green of this hilly landscape. The adoption of electric charging points for e-bikes and e-scooters will favor the ecological micro-mobility of the inhabitants of Verona Green Living. Archè DOPO OLTRE 70 ANNI DI ATTIVITÀ E 3 GENERAZIONI LA SERPELLONI SPA DEI FRATELLI ANTONIO E PIETRO HA SVILUPPATO UN INTERVENTO RESIDENZIALE NEL SUO LUOGO D’ORIGINE, CHIAMATO “ARCHÈ” (“ORIGINE” IN GRECO), CARATTERIZZATO DA UN NUOVO CONCETTO DI BENESSERE ABITATIVO

l progetto, curato dall’architetto Enrico Zoccatelli e realizzato dallo studio EZA, è stata l’occasione per creare un nuovo modo di abitare dove la vivibilità degli spazi esterni è in perfetta continuità con l’interno: i giardini al piano terra e le grandissime terrazze al piano primo sono l’“estensione” dei soggiorni. L’intervento si trova nel centro storico di Villafranca di Verona, all’interno di un contesto residenziale ricco di grandi spazi a verde. Il progetto si inserisce in un PIRUEA - Programma Integrato di Riqualificazione Urbanistica, Edilizia ed Ambientale, con lo scopo di recuperare

e riqualificare questa porzione di territorio ubicata in stretta connessione con il centro del paese. L’attenzione alla distribuzione degli ambienti ha permesso di ottenere due diverse tipologie abitative, entrambe su un unico livello con tripla o doppia camera. Le unità abitative al piano primo godono di un soggiorno passante che si affaccia su un’ampia terrazza esposta a Sud/Ovest, protetta da un pergolato, ed una a Nord/Est con ampie fioriere integrate nel parapetto. Le abitazioni al piano terra hanno tutte un giardino esterno protetto e perimetrato da murature in sasso tipiche dei broli di questa porzione di Villafranca. L’impiego di materiali tradizionali del luogo come il sasso e la pietra e l’intonaco si contrappongono a linee semplici di un volume architettonico privo di inutili eccessi formali, dove l’architettura del verde è la protagonista. La struttura portante è interamente antisismica e verrà realizzata in cemento armato a scheletro indipendente con una tecnologia che garantisce la costruzione di un edificio biocompatibile, sostenibile, a basso impatto ambientale, con consumo energetico prossimo allo zero in una prestazione energetica complessiva di classe A4. L’edificio è suddiviso in 8 unità abitative, quattro per ogni piano, servite da due vani scala, ognuno dei quali dotato da un ascensore, ed un’autorimessa interrata che ospita garage

Archè After over 70 years of activity and 3 generations, the Serpelloni spa studio owned by the brothers Antonio and Pietro has developed, in the place its origin, a residential project called "Archè" ("origin" in Greek), characterized by a new concept of living well-being The project, curated by the architect Enrico Zoccatelli and carried out by the EZA studio, was an opportunity to create a new way of living where the livability of the outdoor spaces is in perfect continuity with the interior: the gardens on the ground floor and the very large terraces on the first floor are the "extension" of the living rooms. The intervention is located in the historic center of Villafranca di

Verona, within a residential context full of large green spaces. The project is part of PIRUEA - Programma Integrato di Riqualificazione Urbanistica, Edilizia ed Ambientale (integrated urban, building and environmental redevelopment program), with the aim of recovering and redeveloping this portion of territory located in close connection with the town center. The attention to the distribution of the rooms has made it possible to obtain two different types of housing, both on one level with triple or double bedrooms. The housing units on the first floor have a living room that overlooks a large terrace facing South / West, protected by a

pergola, and one to the North / East with large flower boxes integrated into the parapet. The houses on the ground floor all have an external garden protected and surrounded by stone walls typical of the orchards of this portion of Villafranca. The use of traditional local materials such as stone and plaster are in contrast with the simple lines of an architectural volume devoid of unnecessary formal excesses, where green architecture is the protagonist. The supporting structure is entirely anti-seismic and will be made of an independent skeleton reinforced concrete with a technology that guarantees the construction of a biocompatible,

Alberto Apostoli, architetto veronese riconosciuto come guru nella progettazione di SPA e vincitore di oltre 50 premi internazionali di architettura, spiega come il “Wellness” sia non uno spazio o una funzione ma una filosofia, capace di attraversare ogni ambiente, scala e linguaggio. L’approccio di Alberto Apostoli, infatti, si è ormai affermato come un vero e proprio manifesto dell’“Architettura del Benessere”, che nasce dall’incontro di creatività, know-how specialistico e competenza tecnica. Il Benessere per Apostoli è un concetto molto ampio che va ben oltre il tema di ciò che oggi definiamo come “Wellness”, se inteso esclusivamente come spazio legato alla cura del corpo. È una filosofia basata su una pluralità di principi, che in fase di progettazione deve sempre essere coordinata in tutti gli aspetti per restituire un luogo dove al centro ci sia l’uomo. Il Benessere nasce così da un mix perfetto di componenti tecniche ed emozionali: illuminazione naturale e artificiale, fruibilità e organizzazione razionale degli spazi, capacità di orientamento all’interno degli stessi, rapporto con il contesto, utilizzo di materiali che abbiano allo stesso tempo prestazioni elevate e valore estetico, definizione di ambiti di privacy o al contrario di luoghi che promuovano aggregazione. “Possiamo dire che il benessere sia un contenitore infinito di dettagli stilistici, tecnici ma anche culturali, sociali, storici e geografici, le cui soluzioni devono essere valutate con attenzione per produrre, nel senso più nobile, quella che chiamiamo “architettura”” – sostiene Apostoli. The “Wellness Architecture” according to Alberto Apostoli A holistic wellness, not only when talking about spaces but also, and consequently, when approaching the project Alberto Apostoli, a Veronese architect recognized as a guru in SPA design and winner of over 50 international architecture awards, explains how “Wellness” is not a space or a function but a philosophy, capable of crossing any environment, scale and language. In fact, Alberto Apostoli's approach has now established itself as a true manifesto of the “Wellness Architecture”, which arises from the combination of creativity, specialized know-how and technical competence. The Benessere per Apostoli (“Wellness according to Apostoli”) is a very broad concept that goes far beyond the theme of what we now define as "Wellness", if understood exclusively as a space linked to body care. It is a philosophy based on a plurality of principles, which in the designing phase must always be coordinated in all aspects to restore a place where the man is put at the center. Wellness thus arises from a perfect mix of technical and emotional parts: natural and artificial lighting, usability and rational organization of spaces, the ability to orient within them, relationship with the context, use of materials that have high performance as well as aesthetic value, definition of areas of privacy or, on the contrary, of places that promote aggregation. “We can say that wellness is an infinite container of stylistic, technical but also cultural, social, historical and geographical details, whose solutions must be carefully evaluated to produce, in the noblest sense, what we call “architecture””, says Apostoli. IL 2 OTTOBRE È STATA SVELATA LA PRIMA COLLEZIONE DEL BRAND SIMONE PEDRETTI PRESSO L’ATELIER DELL’ARTISTA MATTEO CAVAIONI, IN VALPOLICELLA

LAPIS (dal latino “pietra”) è una serie di oggetti unici nel loro genere disegnata dall’architetto e designer Luca Sartori, co-fondatore dello studio Superluna (www.superluna.it). La collezione, che si ispira ai luoghi, oggetti e tradizioni trentine, è stata creata con una delle pietre più rare e sconosciute al mondo: il legno pietrificato, risalente a più di 30 milioni di anni fa e trovato nelle foreste tropicali indonesiane. Vista l’unicità e la complessità di quest’ultimo, il percorso di progettazione, prototipazione e realizzazione dell’azienda è durato quasi 2 anni. L’originalità dell’idea di Luca Sartori è stata quella di dare una “nuova vita” agli oggetti della tradizione Trentina, rivisitandoli in chiave contemporanea e cercando di valorizzare al massimo il legno pietrificato, grazie anche alla maestria di alcuni tra migliori artigiani Italiani con cui l’azienda collabora. Tra gli oggetti presentati troviamo i CIOCÁT, dal dialetto trentino “ciocchi di legno”, un fantastico set di 3 tavolini; la panchina TRIGA, dal dialetto trentino “trigar”, composta da due tronchetti in metallo ed un asse in legno pietrificato; e, per concludere, la libreria SFÓIA, la cui struttura rimanda alle sfoglie interne al tronco. L’unione tra la passione e l’impegno hanno dato vita alla prima collezione di un giovane brand italiano che unisce innovazione e tradizione.

LAPIS (from the Latin "stone") is a series of one-of-a-kind objects designed by architect and designer Luca Sartori, co-founder of Superluna studio (www.superluna.it). The collection, which is inspired by the places, objects and traditions of Trentino, was created with one of the rarest and most unknown stones in the world: petrified wood, which dates back more than 30 million years and was found in the Indonesian tropical forests. Given its uniqueness and complexity, the company's designing, prototyping and construction processes took almost 2 years. The originality of Luca Sartori's idea is to give "new life" to the objects of Trentino tradition, revisiting them in a contemporary key and trying to make the most of petrified wood, thanks also to the skill of some of the best Italian artisans with which the company collaborates with. Among the products presented we can find the CIOCÁT, from the Trentino dialect "wood logs", a fantastic set of 3 tables; the TRIGA bench, from the Trentino dialect "trigar", composed of two metal logs and a petrified wood plank; and, finally, the SFÓIA bookcase, whose structure refers to the layers inside the trunk. The union between passion and ambition gave birth to the first collection of a young Italian brand that combines innovation and tradition.

CONIUGARE PITTURA E ARCHITETTURA IN UN PERCORSO DOVE SI RESPIRA SOPRATTUTTO ARIA DI FILOSOFIA

on è solo un lavoro di scomposizione dell'immagine e di ricomposizione quello che fa l'artista, pittore e architetto villafranchese, Lucio Merlini, impegnato con successo di recente a numerose mostre, tra cui a Venezia alla mostra L'Arte in Quarantena con la curatela di Salvo Nugnes e alla mostra internazionale Spoleto Arte. Notevoli riconoscimenti sono stati attribuiti a sue grandi opere da parte dei personaggi più prestigiosi, tra critici e giornalisti. Anche come architetto Merlini ha in cantiere importanti progetti per Peschiera del Garda e la città di Verona: la trasformazione in un hotel a 5 Stelle dell' antico palazzo Boldieri Malaspina Bottagisio di fronte alla chiesa di San Fermo. Più articolato il progetto che riguarda la cittadina lagunare di Peschiera con il recupero delle carceri e della rocca medievale. Architettura e pittura, due attività che si combinano in un percorso nuovo, di rispetto tra mente e spirito, di ricerca della luce, che dà valore a tutto. Soprattutto la ricerca interiore, a cui le persone si stanno avvicinando in questo periodo precario. “La mente è sempre alla ricerca di qualcosa di personale, della conoscenza di se stessi” afferma l'arch. Merlini, “l'arte è una rilettura della propria interiorità”. Apprezzato da Vittorio Sgarbi, sempre avaro di lodi per gli artisti contemporanei e il critico per eccellenza, che ne sottolinea “il contenuto di anima e sentimenti, pensieri e turbamenti” (Morello Pecchioli, “Merlini, il pittore architetto che piace a Sgarbi” quotidiano L'Arena). L’artista Lucio Merlini, dopo la frequentazione del liceo artistico Cignaroli a Verona e in contemporanea al corso di laurea in architettura si è dedicato alla pittura, partecipando a diverse esposizioni anche collettive in diverse città del Nord Italia. In seguito, svolgendo la professione di architetto ha potuto impegnarsi relativamente nella pittura, che ha comunque coltivato come passione, continuando a dipingere opere per il piacere personale. La sua espressione artistica è sempre stata intesa come ricerca di un’autonomia espressiva legata all’uso del colore e alla ricerca di un equilibrio spaziale che si riallaccia al mondo della comunicazione. Le immagini sono mediate dal settore della pubblicità e a tutti gli aspetti che essa tocca, da situazioni collegate a prodotti e al loro modo di proporsi al pubblico. Mondo ampio e variegato da indagare e approfondire in continuazione con tematiche sempre diverse e sempre attuali.

Mixing painting and architecture in a philosophic journey The artist, painter and architect from Villafranca, Lucio Merlini, who has recently been involved in numerous exhibitions, including in the exhibition L'Arte in Quarantena in Venice, with the curatorship of Salvo Nugnes, and the international exhibition Spoleto Arte, does not just decontstruct and deconstruct images. Many awards have been attributed to his great works by the most prestigious personalities, including critics and journalists. Also as an architect, Merlini has important projects to look for, both in Peschiera del Garda and Verona: the transformation into a 5-star hotel of the ancient Boldieri Malaspina Bottagisio palace in front of the San Fermo church and a more complex project concerning the lagoon town of Peschiera with the recovery of the prisons and the medieval fortress. Architecture and painting, two activities that combine in a new direction, a connection between mind and spirit, a search for light, which gives value to everything. Above all the soul searching which people are experimenting in this precarious period. “The mind is always looking for something personal, for self-knowledge" says the architect Merlini, “art is a reinterpretation of one's inner life”. Appreciated even by Vittorio Sgarbi, usually stingy with praise for contemporary artists and critic par excellence, that calls it “the content of soul and feelings, thoughts and disturbances" (Morello Pecchioli, “Merlini, the architect painter Sgarbi likes” newspaper L’Arena). The artist Lucio Merlini, after attending the Cignaroli artistic high school in Verona and during his degree course in archi-

tecture, always devoted himself to painting, participating in various exhibitions, including collective ones in various cities in Northern Italy. Later, carrying out the profession of architect, he was able to engage relatively in painting, which remained a passion he cultivated for personal pleasure. His artistic expression has always been understood as the search for an expressive autonomy linked to the use of color and the search for a spatial balance that is linked to the world of communication. The images are mediated by the advertising sector and all the aspects it touches, by situations related to products and their way of presenting to the public. A wide and varied world to be continuously investigated and deepened with always different and current themes.

La scelta di riaprire le arcate a tutto sesto delinea una nuova identità di questo appartamento, dove l’open space di cucina e soggiorno si rapportano alla città di Verona in tutta la sua magnificenza. Ad accompagnare lo studio Brunoni associati in questo percorso è l’attenzione per i dettagli di Ballarini Interni che cuce su misura degli spazi e delle esigenze della committenza, i principali pezzi di arredo. Importanza centrale assume la cucina, il marchio Xera, scelto per le sue superfici in acciaio, contrasta con le superfici della pelle dell’edificio che profuma no di storia ed eleganza senza tempo. I divani Flexform, leader del made in Italy, si fondono alla perfezione con l’ambiente; le linee semplici e pulite mettono in risalto le superfici e le finiture scelte per gli interni, donando al soggiorno un mood accogliente ed al contempo elegante.

The choice to reopen the round arches outlines a new identity for this apartment, where the open space kitchen and living room relate to the city of Verona in all its magnificence. Along with Brunoni Associates studio comes Ballarini Interni that, with its attention to details, tailors the main pieces of furniture to fit the spaces and needs of the client. The Xera kitchen, of central importance was chosen for its steel surfaces in contrast with the surfaces of the building that call to history and timeless elegance. The sofas by Flexform, a leader in the Made in Italy, blend perfectly with the environment; the simple and clean lines highlight the surfaces and finishes chosen for the interiors, giving the living room a welcoming yet elegant mood.

A rimarcare il dialogo tra interno ed esterno, nonché l’originario carattere aperto dell’altana, è stata la scelta architettonica di utilizzare materiali riflettenti in grado di rispecchiare ed amplificare, in ogni momento della giornata, le vibrazioni cittadine, i suoi colori e le sue luci. Per questo Ballarini Interni propone partizioni Rimadesio, per le finiture in vetro, legno e ferro, nonché per la grandissima attenzione per il dettaglio. Underlining the dialogue between inside and outside, as well as the roof terrace, was the architectural choice of using reflective materials, capable of reflecting and amplifying, at any time of the day, the vibrations of the city, its colors and its lights. For this reason, Ballarini Interni proposes Rimadesio partitions, for their glass, wood and iron finishes, as well as great attention to detail. This attention to detail is the basis of this intervention, poised between the subtle contrast between ancient and the modern, put in place by Brunoni Associates.

Nella cucina è stato scelto il marchio Modulnova, un eccellenza del made in Italy, per le linee rigorose e il design moderno che si sposa con eleganza alle superfici materiche; qui sono state scelte finiture in legno scuro per le colonne, in netto contrasto al bianca delle basi, il tutto impreziosito dalla zona pranzo, allestita con tavolo MDF e sedie Vitra. Dark wood finishes were chosen for the columns, in stark contrast to the white of the bases, all embellished by the dining area, set up with a MDF table and Vitra chairs. Ballarini Interni also accompanied the client in the choice of the light by proponing Flos elements that guarantee functional and elegant lighting.

Lo studio di Ballarini interni ha accompagnato la committenza anche nella scelta dei corpi illuminati, utilizzando elementi Flos che garantiscono un illuminazione funzionale ed elegante allo stesso tempo, accostando l’illuminazione della cucina, su particolare richiesta della clientela, ad un sistema di sospensione per piante da interni, elemento naturale che spicca per la sua originalità. Le armadiature realizzate per le stanze da letto e per le zone di passaggio sono della ditta Caccaro, marchio noto per la funzionalità e capacità di adattarsi ad ogni spazio per l’ampia fornitura di dimensioni e finiture. Un vezzo di progetto è la scelta dei sacchi Zanota, per un tocco di colore ed eccentricità. At the particular request of the customers, the kitchen lighting was combined with a suspension system for plants for interiors, a natural element that stands out for its originality. The wardrobes, made for the bedrooms and passageways, are by the Caccaro company, a brand known for its functionality and ability to adapt to any space thanks to the wide range of its sizes and finishes. A design quirk is the choice of Zanota bags, for a touch of color and eccentricity.

Manfred, da parte sua voleva trasformare quella formidabile idea creativa in un vero e proprio business, in un segmento di mercato ancora inesplorato. Un’idea così forte non poteva che attribuire al brand un’immagine dirompente dal forte carattere. In 40 anni l’azienda ha percorso tanta strada restando tuttavia sempre fedele alla sua visione originaria. Quando Peter si è avvicinato al mondo del golf ha compreso che la sua formula di associare tecnologia a stile sarebbe stata perfetta anche per quello sport progettando una linea che si è rapidamente imposta nel mondo ed è oggi riconosciuta come una delle più prestigiose. La crescita della linea per il golf è stata tale da far abbandonare nel nuovo millennio la linea sci, ormai diventata marginale. I prodotti Chervò sono apprezzati in più di 30 paesi nel mondo raggiunti tramite agenti, distributori nazionali o il web. Negli Stati Uniti Chervò opera con una propria filiale con sede a Palm Beach, in Florida. Nel 2022 spegneremo 40 candeline: un traguardo che non sarebbe stato possibile senza aver mantenuto fede alla nostra visione e soprattutto senza i nostri collaboratori e i nostri partner commerciali. Come sono cambiate le priorità produttive e comunicative nel tempo? La nostra filiera produttiva si è andata

Questa politica ci ha salvato dagli effetti dirompenti della pandemia nella catena di fornitura globale. Per quanto riguarda la comunicazione, pur nella fedeltà a concetti di gioia di vivere mediterranea e di immagine irriverente, ma sempre rigorosa e attenta al nostro mondo specifico, è dirompente l’avvento della comunicazione digitale che ci permette di dialogare in modo più mirato con i nostri consumatori. How and when was Chervò born? Chervò was born in 1982, from the union of the creative soul of Peter and the entrepreneurial soul of Manfred. Peter, previously a member of the ski team Valanga Azzurra, understood that the two apparently irreconcilable worlds of technical and fashion clothing for skiing could instead converge in an innovative line made with fabrics and highly technological and functional materials characterized by colors, prints and wearability aligned with style and fashion for leisure time. For his part, Manfred wanted to transform that formidable creative idea into a real business in a still unexplored market segment. Such a strong idea could only give the brand a disruptive image and strong character. In 40 years, the company has come a long way while still remaining faithful to its original vision. How have production and communication priorities changed over time? Our production chain has been forming over time by favoring reliable, precise, flexible partners rather than pursuing suppliers based exclusively on price. This policy has saved us from the disruptive effects of the pandemic on the global supply chain. As far as communication is concerned, despite the fidelity to concepts of Mediterranean joie de vivre and irreverent image, always rigorous and attentive to our specific world, the advent of digital communication has allowed us to dialogue in

Altri problemi che stanno emergendo riguardano le materie prime, l’energia e la logistica internazionale che la pandemia ha acutizzato, ma probabilmente continueranno a condizionare anche gli scenari futuri. Quanto investite sulla sostenibilità? Siamo impegnati, per quanto ragionevolmente possibile, nella riduzione dell’impatto ambientale e selezioniamo i nostri fornitori di materiali anche in base a queste valutazioni, ma siamo pienamente consapevoli che la strada è ancora lunga e per questo ci teniamo alla larga dallo sbandierare a fini commerciali gli sforzi fatti. Per noi essere sostenibili, significa in primo luogo disegnare e realizzare capi di alta qualità che durino nel tempo eliminando gli sprechi grazie ad un’attenta programmazione delle produzioni. Che tipo di stile proponete oggi? Trend per il prossimo anno? Per la prossima collezione estiva, ci siamo ancora una volta ispirati al nostro territorio, alle bellezze del nostro BelPaese, facendoci portavoce del lifestyle italiano sui campi da golf di tutto il mondo. Chervò ha un suo stile che è allineato alle tendenze moda di fondo ma non pretende di dettare l’ultima moda, uno stile che rimane fedele a sé stesso: ovvero elegante nel design e di grande qualità nei materiali e nella fattura, progettato per il golf, ma ideale per ogni occasione in cui non sia richiesto un abbigliamento formale. Come è cambiato, se è cambiato, il vostro approccio produttivo e comunicativo durante la pandemia? Avete preso decisioni diverse indotte dalla pandemia . Certamente abbiamo dovuto reagire con prontezza per far fronte all’emergenza sanitaria e a tutte le sue implicazioni. In particolare abbiamo dovuto inventarci nuovi strumenti di vendita per ovviare ai lockdown e alle restrizioni nei viaggi come pure strumenti di comunicazione con i fornitori. In ogni caso ci rendiamo conto di essere stati fortunati, visto che il gioco del golf rappresenta un’attività a bassissimo rischio di contagio, giocato all’aria aperta e con distanziamento sociale che avviene normalmente, solo la stretta di mano finale è stata sostituita da altri riti. La riduzione delle vendite nelle destinazioni turistiche è stata compensata dall’incremento degli affari nei paesi di origine dei flussi turistici. Nel complesso abbiamo registrato con soddisfazione sia l’arrivo di nuovi giocatori sia l’aumento della frequentazione dei giocatori esistenti. La prudenza negli approvvigionamenti e le buone vendite hanno contribuito ad abbassare le nostre scorte di magazzino a livelli storici.

Digitization and environmental sustainability are the two challenges that are already present, but with which we will also have to deal with in the coming years. Other problems that are emerging concern raw materials, energy and international logistics that the pandemic has exacerbated, but will probably continue to affect future scenarios as well. How much do you invest in sustainability? We are committed, as far as reasonably possible, to reducing the environmental impact and we select our material suppliers also on the basis of these assessments, but we are fully aware that the road is still long and for this reason we avoid advertising our efforts made. For us, being sustainable means first of all designing and manufacturing high quality garments that last over time, eliminating waste thanks to careful production planning. What kind of style are you proposing at the moment? What is the trend for next year? For the next summer collection, we are once again inspired by our territory, by the beauty of our Bel Paese, making us spokespersons of the Italian lifestyle on golf courses all over the world. Chervò has its own style that is aligned with the basic fashion trends but does not pretend to dictate the latest fashion and keeps style that remains true to itself: that is, elegant design and great quality materials and workmanship, designed for golf , but ideal for any occasion where formal attire is not required. How has your productive and communicative approach changed during the pandemic? You have made different decisions pushed by the pandemic. We certainly had to react promptly to face the health emergency and all its implications. In

particular, we had to invent new sales tools to overcome lockdowns and travel restrictions as well as tools for communicating with suppliers. In any case, we realize that we have been lucky, given that the game of golf represents an activity with a very low risk of contagion, played in the open air and with social distancing that normally occurs, only the final handshake has been replaced by other rites. The reduction in sales in tourist destinations was offset by the increase in business in the countries of origin of the tourist flows. Overall, we recorded with satisfaction both the arrival of new players and the increase in attendance of existing players. Prudence in procurement and good sales have contributed to lowering our inventories to historic levels.

Il vero grande successo del Padel però si deve solamente a questi ultimi anni nei quali abbiamo visto questo meraviglioso sport diventare una vera e propria tendenza. This wonderful sofa is characterized by various elements, the most obvious being the supporting structure that appears almost suspended from the ground, creating the idea of a floating island. The four basic geometries of the composition - one square, one rectangular and two new types of curved elements defined as 'piano' and 'sail' - give the sofa system an innovative and elegant aesthetic. The piano-like base creates a welcoming curve on the backrest and the sail defines a rounded volume on the front. The upholstery of the seats with an exaggerated design are soft, enveloping and welcoming and invite you to relax. Borea is a collection attentive to sustainability: it uses recycled and recyclable materials as well as the fact that all the furnishings can be disassembled. At the end of its life cycle, each single element can then be disassembled and disposed of. CUCINA ALEA PRO PER CHI AMA LINEE PULITE ED ESSENZIALI Secondo gli interior designer di Ballarini Interni, una delle cucine più in voga del momento è sicuramente Alea Pro di Poliform, rivisitazione dell’omonimo modello del 2003 dell’architetto Paolo Piva. Nella sua rivisitazione rimangono inalterate versatilità e linearità, arricchendola però da nuovi particolari. Per esempio, l’abbinamento tra le maniglie - gole orizzontali - ed i distanziatori verticali delle colonne aiutano a risaltare di più i volumi; in più, la nuova anta ha un bordo superiore rastremato a 55° ed è sormontata da un profilo maniglia coordinato con il colore della gola orizzontale. Il fianco della cucina, leggermente distanziato dall’anta, contribuisce a dare un senso di leggerezza alle basi. Sia i pensili che le colonne possono essere dotate di ante in vetro la cui trasparenza e riflessione contribuiscono a moltiplicare lo spazio cucina. UN’AZIENDA che secondo Ballarini Interni non delude mai perché dedita alla ricerca e all’innovazione continua è sicuramente Rimadesio. Quest’anno Rimadesio ha presentato il secondo volume del catalogo New Interiors: innovazioni mirate alla massima integrazione tra i sistemi e nuove combinazioni di materiali. Le novità includono l’evoluzione del sistema boiserie Modulor, il sistema Self plan, il contenitore a vista Cover Open e le porte scorrevoli Maxi e Velaria. This year Rimadesio unveiled the second volume of New Interiors catalog: the innovations are aimed at maximum integration between systems and new combinations of materials. The novelties include the evolution of Modulor wall paneling system, the Self Plan system, the Cover Open storage unit and Maxi and Velaria sliding doors. IL NUOVO CAPANNONE OSPITERÀ UNA DELLE PIÙ MODERNE LINEE DI PRODUZIONE PER IL VETRO ISOLANTE A LIVELLO EUROPEO, CREANDO OLTRE 50 POSTI DI LAVORO. LO STABILIMENTO DI OPPEANO (VR) DIVENTERÀ COSÌ IL SECONDO MAGGIORE POLO PRODUTTIVO DELL’AZIENDA ALTOATESINA

al 2008 Finstral realizza i propri prodotti di qualità anche presso lo stabilimento di Oppeano. La produzione, inizialmente limitata al vetro isolante, nel 2010 è arrivata a comprendere finestre e porte-finestre. Infine nel 2017 è stato inaugurato un impianto per la lavorazione del legno, che ha segnato un ritorno alle origini per l’azienda, nata come piccola falegnameria più di 50 anni fa. “La domanda di serramenti Finstral è in continua crescita. Per questo stiamo aumentando le nostre capacità produttive. Gli investimenti più importanti riguardano lo stabilimento di Oppeano. Qui dal 2008 ci avvaliamo di un team motivato, che conta ormai più di 100 persone. La nostra intenzione è di rinforzarlo ulteriormente, assumendo 50-60 nuovi collaboratori”, afferma Florian Oberrauch, vicepresidente del Consiglio di Amministrazione e responsabile della produzione. “Siamo leader di settore per i serramenti di fascia alta e garantiamo standard di qualità altrettanto elevati. Ai collaboratori offriamo posti di lavoro moderni, sicuri ed ergonomici, con buone prospettive di crescita in una solida azienda a conduzione familiare.” All’interno dello stabilimento di Oppeano Finstral sta costruendo un capannone di 10.000 metri quadrati, destinato a diventare l’impianto di lavorazione per il vetro isolante più moderno e sostenibile d’Europa. L’obiettivo è di ridurre il consumo di energie e risorse attraverso processi produttivi efficienti e algoritmi di ottimizzazione, proprio come avviene negli stabilimenti di Scurelle e Gochsheim (Germania), annoverati finora tra quelli più all’avanguardia in Europa per la produzione del vetro. Grazie ad un ulteriore potenziamento dell’impianto fotovoltaico esistente sarà possibile coprire il normale fabbisogno energetico dello stabilimento. Al posto delle caldaie a gas verranno utilizzate pompe di calore. Gli spazi liberi all’interno dei capannoni esistenti saranno invece adibiti alla nuova linea di produzione per le finestre. Finstral invests 20 million euro in Oppeano: a new glass processing plant and an additional production line for windows The new warehouse will house one of the most modern insulating glass production lines in Europe, creating over 50 jobs. The Oppeano (VR) plant will thus become the South Tyrolean company’s second largest production center Since 2008 Finstral has also been manufacturing its quality products at the Oppeano plant. The production, initially limited to insulating glass, in 2010 started to include windows and French windows. Finally, in 2017 a woodworking plant was inaugurated, which marked a return to the origins of the company, which began as a small carpentry shop more than 50 years ago. “The demand for Finstral windows is constantly growing. A mio parere il nostro patrimonio culturale civico dovrebbe funzionare 12 mesi l’anno, perché è la nostra principale risorsa. Infine è importante impegnare risorse ed energie per raccontare in modo efficace la nostra città all’estero e mettere a frutto la reputazione di cui godiamo. Lo spettacolo ha risentito del difficile anno appena passato… come avete provato a dare una risposta in questo senso? Sicuramente abbiamo dialogato con il comparto, con gli operatori e le compagnie locali, durante tutto il difficile 2020 e inizio 2021 e improntato dei progetti per poter ripartire già con delle idee. Nel 2021 Dante è stato la nostra sfida, che abbiamo vinto grazie alla collaborazione con diversi attori del territorio. Nel 2022 ci aspetta un magnifico progetto espositivo, che dopo Mantegna e Veronese, chiude in bellezza il percorso della nostra amministrazione. Il libro, che abbiamo presentato nel mese di novembre su Giovan Francesco Caroto, è il frutto di un enorme lavoro di ricerca condotto da Francesca Rossi, direttore dei Musei Civici, assieme a insigni studiosi della materia, che anticipa la mostra su questo importante pittore veronese del Cinquecento che avrà luogo da maggio 2022 alla Gran Guardia. Abbiamo creduto molto in questo progetto e ora lo presentiamo orgogliosamente. La vostra amministrazione ha dimostrato di credere molto nei nuovi linguaggi dell’arte… Assolutamente sì. Come istituzione pubblica penso che il nostro sforzo vada concentrato per attrarre nuovo pubblico, ma anche per offrire qualità per spingerlo ad accogliere linguaggi nuovi. È una sfida che abbiamo voluto cogliere ad esempio al Teatro Camploy, con una rassegna di teatro “altro”, proponendo nuovi linguaggi, anche con l’intervento in scena del digitale, oppure con l’apertura dei musei anche ad altri linguaggi artistico come danza e musica. Novità per il prossimo futuro? Stiamo lavorando in modo intenso per andare verso la riapertura degli Scavi Scaligeri, grazie al protocollo di intesa firmato con Fondazione Cariverona, per mettere la fotografia, arte molto cara a Verona, al centro di eventi e progetti espositivi di grande spessore.

We cared about show business workers at this difficult time because they are like any other professional who works in other sectors. 2021 was Dante's year, while 2022 will open with an incredible book and exhibition that celebrate one of the artists of our city: Caroto. In 2021 Dante was our challenge, which we won thanks to the collaboration with various figures in the area. In 2022 a magnificent exhibition project awaits us, which after Mantegna and Veronese, closes the path of our administration. The book, which we presented in November on Giovan Francesco Caroto, is the result of an enormous research work conducted by Francesca Rossi, director of the Civic Museums, together with distinguished scholars of the subject, which anticipates the exhibition on this important Veronese painter of the sixteenth century which will take place from May 2022 at the Gran Guardia. We strongly believed in this project and now we proudly present it. Your administration has shown that it strongly believes in the new languages of art ... Absolutely yes. As a public institution, I think our effort must be concentrated to attract new audiences, but also to offer quality products to encourage them to welcome new languages. It is a challenge that we took up, for example, at the Camploy Theater, with the "altro" theater programme, proposing new languages, even with the use of digital on stage; or with the opening of museums of other artistic languages such as dance and music.

DALL’INFERNO ALL’INFINITO

Fino al 30 gennaio sul palco del Teatro Nuovo si svolgerà l’edizione 2021-22 della rassegna Il Grande Teatro organizzata dal Comune di Verona e dal Teatro Stabile di Verona - Centro di Produzione Teatrale. Si alterneranno artisti di calibro nazionale ed internazionale- tra cui molte donne - come Monica Guerritore, Maria Amelia Monti, Marina Massironi, Laura Morante, Alberto Giusta e Alessia Giuliani. La storica rassegna invernale del Comune di Verona, nata nel 1986, torna con sei spettacoli nell’arco di quattro mesi dove passato e presente si sovrappongono in un programma capace di dosare allegria, emozione e commozione, e per questo ideale per tornare ad incontrare il pubblico del Teatro Nuovo. Ha inaugurato la rassegna LA BOTTEGA DEL CAFFÈ di Carlo Goldoni con la regia di Paolo Valerio e con protagonista, nei panni dell’ “antieroe” don Marzio che sforna maldicenze e pettegolezzi a tutto spiano, Michele Placido.

Monica Guerritore dimostra la sua bravura e versatilità mettendosi alla prova con Dante, ma anche con la poesia contemporanea, in uno spettacolo che celebra il settecentesimo anno della morte di Dante Alighieri, prodotto dalla Compagnia Orsini. Monica Guerritore prova a sradicare parole, testi, versi altissimi dalla loro collocazione “conosciuta” per restituirgli un “senso” originario e potente. Sicura che la forza delle parole di Dante, togliendole dal canto e dalla storia, possano restituirci un senso originario, ci conduce all’interno delle zone più dense, oscure e magnifiche dell’animo umano. IO SARAH, IO TOSCA Laura Morante, grande protagonista della scena internazionale, firma questo spettacolo, con la regia di Daniele Costantini, in cui è affiancata da Mimosa Campironi (voce e pianoforte). Laura Morante dà voce e corpo a Sarah Bernhardt, la mitica attrice cui Victorien Sardou dedicò Tosca, il celebre dramma messo in musica da Giacomo Puccini. Sarah Bernhardt, ormai costretta su una sedia per via di un incidente in palcoscenico, interpreta il ruolo dell'eroina tragica e ricorda le vicende personali che hanno ispirato il dramma. La realtà e la finzione finiscono per mescolarsi in un gioco di specchi che apre squarci di verità nell’affascinante leggenda di questa donna tenace e vulnerabile, indomabile e raffinata, cinica e generosa.

IO SARAH, IO TOSCA Laura Morante, known in the international scene, signs this show directed by Daniele Costantini, in which she is supported by Mimosa Campironi (voice and piano). Laura Morante gives voice and body to Sarah Bernhardt, the legendary actress to whom Victorien Sardou dedicated Tosca, the famous drama set to music by Giacomo Puccini. Giovan Francesco Caroto protagonista della cultura veronese UN LIBRO DEDICATO AL PITTORE VERONESE ANTICIPA IL GRANDE PROGETTO ESPOSITIVO IN PROGRAMMA ALLA GRAN GUARDIA DA MAGGIO 2022

n libro ed una mostra dedicati al pittore veronese del Cinquecento Giovan Francesco Caroto, artista che si è inserito nel florido panorama artistico dell’epoca e che si è fatto conoscere per la bellezza delle sue opere pittoriche, tra cui il ben noto “Ritratto di fanciullo con disegno” del Museo di Castelvecchio. Queste sono tra le più interessanti novità artistico-culturali sul panorama veronese, che sono state recentemente presentate nella sala Convegni della Gran Guardia dagli autori del libro e dall’assessore alla Cultura Francesca Briani. Il libro ‘Caroto. Giovan Francesco Caroto (1480 circa - 1555)’, a cura di Francesca Rossi, Gianni Peretti, Edoardo Rossetti anticipa il grande progetto espositivo, dedicato al pittore veronese Caroto, in programma a Verona dal 12 maggio al 2 ottobre 2022. Una mostra che coinvolgerà, accanto a prestiti esterni provenienti da collezioni pubbliche e private italiane e straniere, opere delle collezioni del Museo di Castelvecchio, del Museo degli Affreschi G.B. Cavalcaselle, del Museo Archeologico al Teatro Romano, del Museo di Storia Naturale. “L’esposizione intende far conoscere le vicende di un grande protagonista dell’arte veronese del Cinquecento e le sfaccettature del panorama artistico e culturale del suo tempo, una stagione d’oro per la società cittadina e per lo sviluppo delle arti e della cultura archeologica e naturalistica del territorio” spiega Francesca Rossi, direttrice dei Musei Civici. Il libro dedicato a Caroto e al suo contesto di riferimento, stampato in una elegante edizione da Silvana editoriale, è frutto di un percorso di ricerca originale, promosso dal Museo di Castelvecchio, con la collaborazione di una vasta rete di istituzioni e realtà pubbliche e private e un gruppo di studiosi di storia dell’arte e della cultura veronese, lombarda e piemontese, con la curatela di Gianni Peretti, Edoardo Rossetti e Francesca Rossi. Il progetto ha coinvolto anche il mondo universitario, sotto la guida della professoressa Tiziana Franco, docente di Storia dell’Arte Medievale all’ateneo veronese: un gruppo di studenti e studentesse ha realizzato una campagna di catalogazione delle opere di Caroto con il sistema Sigecweb, la piattaforma digitale dell’Istituto Centrale per il catalogo e la Documentazione del Ministero della Cultura che opera per mettere in rete il patrimonio culturale nazionale.
