REACHING OUT TO REFUGEES
After her husband died, grief consumed Maria. “I cried in despair,” she said. She sold her husband’s belongings and opened her house in Poland to the Ukrainian refugees fleeing for their lives from the war. “I give them everything, my heart and my time,” said Maria.
Once the weary travelers arrive, they often cry and share their tragic stories. Some have moved on, but many still have nowhere to go. While she could, Maria used her own resources to care for
those who came to her. At one time over 50 refugees filled her home.
But when Maria’s funds dwindled, generous friends like you enabled her to continue helping battle-weary families. Through CBN’s Operation Blessing, their physical needs are met. They are free to heal emotionally. “It is always inspiring to see people from other countries extend love to those who need it,” she said. “As we honor our guests, we honor God.”
FROM BARELY SURVIVING to Thriving
Caring partners provide a bright future for a mother in need
Life has been difficult for Carmen, who works hard to provide for her 8-year-old daughter. At times, this single mother was forced to borrow food from her neighbors to feed her precious child.
When CBN’s Operation Blessing learned of her struggle, our ministry team in Honduras addressed one of Carmen’s concerns: a lack of equipment for the food production business she ran with other women in her community. The women make and sell pinole (a mixture of ground corn, peanuts, cinnamon, pepper, rice, and wheat), plantain chips, and cakes—all without proper tools.
Thanks to friends like you, Operation Blessing provided them with an electric mill to efficiently process the seeds and grains. They now have a promising future, as their quality of life has improved. “Thank you to the donors of Operation Blessing for what you have given us,” said Carmen.
YOU TRANSFORM LIVES THROUGH clean water
For most Americans, clean water is only a few steps away. We turn on a faucet and have plenty of water for drinking, bathing and cleaning. But according to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are at least 2 billion people who use a contaminated drinking water source that can transmit diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio.
As World Water Day approaches on March 22, we want to show you the tremendous work you are doing worldwide to provide clean water for those who so desperately need it.
For a child living in a rural area, the lack of access to clean water can be especially difficult. A child may be forced to spend much of their time walking long distances to collect water from a distant
source, leaving little time for school and, thereby, limiting their opportunities later in life. Also, the water they do collect may be contaminated.
Antoni lives with his family in a village on the side of a mountain in a remote part of Honduras. The greatest need of the entire community is clean water for drinking and cooking. Water came to families via several hoses connected to surface springs that collected into small pools. The water source was exposed and contaminated with bacteria—a situation that can cause illness, especially in children. “We see insects and dirt in the cloudy water,” said Antoni.
After identifying a new water spring higher in the mountain, CBN’s Operation Blessing built a retaining wall and, with help from the community, laid pipes, built a 5,000-gallon storage tank, and added purification. Finally, pipes were run to homes in the community—including Antoni’s.
“My family and everyone in the community are happy because of the water that God sent us. Now everyone who drinks this water will not suffer!” rejoiced Antoni.
In crowded towns and villages,
families without access to clean water may be forced to share a single water source with hundreds of other families. This can lead to water shortages along with the contamination.
In Mexico, Teresa , Gilberto, and their three sons know what that’s like. “The kids were getting sick. They had a lot of diarrhea, and they were getting thinner,” explained Teresa.
Boiling the water helped, but there was also not enough for all their family’s needs. “We would get water from the community water system every 15 days, and it was very little,” said Teresa.
But thanks to CBN partners like you, Operation Blessing arrived to change things. A new water tank was built, and a long distribution connected the tank to the spring of water over a hill. Now the family can drink water
directly from their faucet at home. “Everything is different now,” said Teresa. “Water means so much to us as humans.”
In a community facing low rainfall and famine, a lack of access to clean water can be catastrophic. Crops cannot be irrigated, and food production is severely limited. This can lead to malnutrition and starvation. In addition, the lack of clean water can force people to migrate in search of food and water, leading to further displacement and poverty.
Not having access to clean water is a global problem that affects millions of people around the world with devastating implications at the individual, family, and community levels. However, through the generosity of wonderful partners like you, Operation Blessing is meeting these needs around the world through donor-funded clean water projects. Because of your compassionate care, countless lives have been saved and communities are being transformed.
Thank you for your extraordinary kindness and steadfast commitment to demonstrating the love of God through life-giving water!
OFFERING HOPE AMID DESPAIR
CBN partners help military family recover from financial setback
After 13 years, Kevin left his job in the U.S. Navy to focus on family. After settling in Washington state, he and his wife, Michelle, struggled to make ends meet. To provide for their family, Kevin wound up juggling two jobs while Michelle worked part time. But sadly, the couple still faced insurmountable debt—and decided to move again.
Although Tennessee was more affordable, the family couldn’t relocate with their belongings due to high shipping fees. Renting a storage unit helped—until they had trouble making payments.
Then compassionate friends like you joined CBN’s Helping the Home Front to cover back rent due on the unit and transfer their personal items to Tennessee. Kevin also got a better job to provide for his family.
“Prayers
Michelle said, grateful for such caring support.
can move mountains,”

Dao’s transformation has been remarkable.
“I felt Jesus was speaking to me. He told me to have faith in Him and to follow Him,” she shared.

Sleep Well!
Do you have trouble sleeping? If so, you might be interested in The Sleep
Prescription: Seven Days to Unlocking Your Best Rest , by Dr. Aric Prather, who runs one of the most successful sleep clinics in the world.
In a culture where we often deprive ourselves of sleep for many reasons, we could all benefit from Dr. Prather’s tips to achieving better sleep, which leads to better health.
First, he wants people to not think of sleep as just the last thing they do each day, but to make sleep a true investment in themselves, especially since it’s critical for good health. Not only is it restorative, but sleep helps us to “have that emotional coping” to deal with “the slings and
arrows of our day-to-day lives.”
Dr. Prather also says that the amount of sleep each person needs is not a “one size fits all.” But, if you’re between the ages of 18 and 65, you should set a goal for at least seven hours a night.
He stresses that one of his biggest tips is to get up at the same time each morning.
“Sleep comes to us. It kind of washes over us,” he says. “And so, it’s really important, especially for people who have sleep problems, to take the pressure off. It’s like you don’t need to be in bed and sleep at a certain time. You want to kind of listen for those sleepiness cues. But keeping a stable awake time can really help with that.”
So, set your alarm, and sleep well tonight!

YOUR QUESTIONS, HONEST ANSWERS
WITH PAT ROBERTSONMy daughter gave me a little music box with angels in it. Someone told me that I should throw out all of my angels. I don’t worship them. Is it safe to keep?
QAMy dear late wife, Dede, loved angels. She loved pictures of them.
I believe in angelic beings. There have been people on this program who have seen angels in their presence.
But we don’t worship them; we worship Jesus.
According to the Bible, angels are messengers of God, and they are sent to look over the heirs of salvation (see Hebrews 1:14).
Keep the music box. You’re not worshiping anything. It’s a pretty box. Enjoy it. Do you have a question for Pat? Log on to CBN.com/AskAQuestion and follow the instructions.

GOD’S TEMPLE WITHIN US
By Gordon Robertson President and CEOThe Good News is very simple. Jesus announced it at the beginning of His ministry, saying in Mark 1:15, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Now is the time; you can reach up and grab it. All you have to do is change your thinking and believe.
Unfortunately, people seem to want to keep God in a box—whether it’s in the Ark of the Covenant, the Tabernacle in the wilderness, Solomon’s Temple, or Herod’s Temple. They think they must go to a special place and have a special prayer by a special person.
However, Jesus tells us in Luke 17:21, “For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
And He is saying to us, “Let Me out of the box of your small thinking. Let Me be God, let Me be Immanuel—God with us—for you.” He wants to be all around you and in you. You are His tabernacle and His ark of the covenant, for He has made a special covenant with you. Jesus told His followers at the Last Supper, shortly before He shed His blood on the cross for our sins, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood” (1 Corinthians 11:25).
So, the good news is that the Father wants to come and dwell in you—not just come and go from time to time, but dwell inside you! As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 3:16, Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Now, in God’s temple, can you imagine any sickness? No, it shouldn’t be there. So, as a matter of faith we can say, I am God’s temple. Disease doesn’t belong in His temple, for He wants to heal, to restore, and to be your all-in-all.
May God bless you as you believe in Him!
