• Since 2005, CBN has been providing humanitarian aid to the poor and hurting across Ukraine, which has been ravaged by war over the last year. As the fighting between Russia and Ukraine escalated, CBN’s Operation Blessing and Orphan’s Promise responded quickly, working together to serve the people of Ukraine.
• Operation Blessing staff and volunteers helped refugees who were crossing the border of Medyka in Poland by serving more than 10,000 hot meals, distributing over 1,500 hygiene kits, and offering them a warm place to rest.
CBN Animation now has one or more complete seasons of Superbook in 65 languages and dialects, with another six in progress. Superbook Academy is in 21 languages and dialects, and “The Salvation Poem” is in 81.
Superbook helps young boy overcome a broken home
Ponchito’s home in Mexico was an unhappy one. His parents constantly fought, and when his mother left, he became angry. “When he was in kindergarten, he punched a classmate. He continued to act out at home and at school,” said his father, Eduardo. “I started to look for solutions.”
Eduardo began attending church, where he accepted Christ as his Savior. Ponchito eventually agreed
to join him. During Sunday school, Ponchito watched episodes of Superbook , CBN’s animated Bible series. Before long, his heart began to soften. “They asked me if I wanted to receive Jesus into my heart, and I said yes,” he recalled.
Knowing Jesus has changed everything for Ponchito. He shared, “I used to feel very lonely, but now I know Jesus is with me. I am not alone anymore.”
CBN Animation’s Superbook is now airing Gizmo’s Daily Bible Byte on YouTube in Ukrainian and Russian .
Superbook continues to teach God’s Word to children currently struggling to survive in war-torn countries like Ukraine and Russia. We believe the Bible transforms young hearts and minds, and Superbook can help bring a sense of peace to these precious children.
Even during times of war, Jesus wants to fill hearts and minds with His peace that surpasses understanding.

CBN donors provide food and love for a family in need

Hunger brings hopelessness to many people around the world— including Matthew and Jennifer in Florida. Even on two incomes, this hardworking couple struggled to make ends meet.
Their financial troubles grew when Jennifer needed emergency surgery after losing her baby. On top of that sad loss, she missed a month of work.
The worried couple reached out to their pastor, who told them about a ministry partner of CBN’s Operation Blessing called Lighthouse Gospel Mission. Because of our incredibly generous partners, Matthew and Jennifer received vital essentials like hygiene products and nutritious food.
“We really needed all of those things,” Jennifer said appreciatively. “And it was really the first opportunity that I got to experience that kind of love.”
Later, this grateful couple was blessed with two healthy daughters!
“What you did helped my wife, me, and my family,” Matthew said. “It’s not just the food, but that God was there with us.”
THE INSPIRING STORY OF CBN’S ORPHAN’S PROMISE
Imagine three orphaned girls in Ukraine. That’s how CBN’s Orphan’s Promise began.
The oldest child was willing to stay behind at the orphanage if it meant her sisters could be adopted. Hearing their story touched the heart of Orphan’s Promise Founder Terry Meeuwsen . “I had made a commitment that each time I would pray for my own children, I would pray for these three girls,” said Terry. “And as I was praying for them in the middle of the night, I felt like the Lord said, ‘What is the fast that I require of you except that you take care of widows and orphans?’ I was mystified. I thought, ‘But God, what do you mean by that?’”
Soon it became clear that Terry and her family were to adopt these girls.
One day, while leaving the orphanage with her daughters, Terry saw a heart-wrenching image. “I saw all these little noses pressed up against windows,” she recalled. “I knew that what they were saying was, ‘When is somebody coming for me?’”
Terry learned that less than one percent of these children would be adopted, and she was determined to help the ones left behind. “We started talking about doing School of Life,” she explained. The school would teach English classes, computer classes, and other life skills—and share the love of the heavenly Father. They started in Kiev, then went to Berdyansk, where Terry had adopted the girls, so their friends could receive help. That was the
beginning of Orphan’s Promise.
Terry’s son, Drew, is amazed at the result of his sisters’ adoption. “It seemed a little crazy to me, to be honest, that we were bringing three more kids in a family of four kids already,” he shared. “But I don’t think any of us understood at the time what was happening.”
Drew eventually joined Orphan’s Promise, where he would become the director of marketing, something he referred to as coming home to the family business. Although he is now the Chief Operating Officer of CBN’s Operation Blessing , Orphan’s Promise remains close to his heart. “It’s a passion of Mom’s, and I’ve adopted it as my own passion as well.” Orphan’s Promise is operating more than 250 projects in 60-plus countries.
With the help of generous CBN partners, Orphan’s Promise is giving thousands of children here in America and around the world access to education and a safe, stable environment to grow and learn—children like
Chiva and Witness.
In Cambodia, Chiva spent his days fishing with his father or tending a garden so his family could have food. There wasn’t time for learning, and the public school was too far away for Chiva to attend. Orphan’s Promise heard about Chiva and helped his family through a local church partner and the School of Life program near his community. Now Chiva is receiving an education, and he has hope for the future.
Witness lives in Tanzania, where the devastating loss of her father left the family struggling to survive. Orphan’s Promise helped this precious girl by providing school supplies and a uniform so that she could go to class and begin learning. Because of compassionate partners like you, Orphan’s Promise also provided consistent, healthy meals for Witness and her family. “We don’t really know how things would have been if not for you,” said her mother.
Education, food, spiritual support, and more are changing the lives of at-risk children around the world. Caring CBN partners are committed to sharing God’s love with those in need, and Orphan’s Promise is just one way that lives are being transformed by compassion.
Your generosity brought hope for a better life
Dorcas and her children lived in a small one-room mud hut in Kenya with crumbing walls and a leaking roof. As the cold wind outside blew through the cracks and into her home, she felt helpless to change her family’s living situation. She would spend hours searching for work, then use the small income she earned to buy food. But there were days when she couldn’t work because she had to make a five-hour journey on foot to get water.
When we heard about Dorcas’ struggles, faithful partners made it possible to respond. CBN’s Operation Blessing built a new, safe home for her family and installed a rainwater harvesting system to provide clean water.
Dorcas is grateful for the love and generosity of friends like you. She said, “I prayed to God, and indeed, He hears and answers prayers.”

Does God give people the same amount of faith, or is it different for everyone?
QAThe Bible says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 nkjv).
I believe the more we exercise our faith, the more it activates the power of God and, in turn, our faith grows.
If you see God perform a miracle, it boosts your faith. If we read the Word of God, faith will also rise in our hearts.
It’s not like God gives you some faith, then gives you something else. The more we exercise the faith we have, the more our faith will grow.

Did you know that good gut health is essential for a strong immune system— and that to fight viruses, you need a strong microbiome? But what exactly is a microbiome?
Gastroenterologist Dr. Robynne Chutkan, author of The Anti-Viral Gut: Tackling Pathogens from the Inside Out , explains: “The gut microbiome refers to the trillions of organisms that live in and on our bodies, mostly in our GI tract. So, we’re talking about bacteria, fungal organisms, parasites, viruses, and one-cell organisms called protozoa.”
But what she first wants people to understand is that a large percentage of our immune system is located in the gut. “Trillions of microbes are there too,” she says. “Think of the microbes as air traffic control for the immune cells. They are literally telling them what to do.” She adds, “If you don’t have as many of
these good bacteria as you should, that signaling is not going to work.”
So, how do we nourish our microbiome to combat viruses?
“You do need to eat lots of high-fiber foods,” she says. “Bacteria take the fiber from plant foods, they metabolize it and ferment it, and create something called short-chain fatty acids. And these shortchain fatty acids are really important, not just for the health of the gut lining … but also for modulating the immune system, for making sure when you’re exposed to a pathogen, that your immune system mounts just the right response.”

With Pentecost just around the corner, plus the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Asbury University spreading to other places, this is a great time to pray for revival!
students at Asbury come to the altar, confess their sins, and pray for cleansing. That’s a prayer God will answer. And He will come and manifest His presence for you.
By Gordon Robertson President and CEOI’ve seen incredible revivals in India, the Philippines, and Indonesia, and I’ve seen revival here in America in the 1970s—so to see it again in our own country is really thrilling.
And while it’s great to go someplace and gather with others to experience a spiritual banquet, you do not need to travel to feast on His presence. Jesus promises in Revelation 3:20 , “ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. ” You can always have your own Communion—that supper with the Lord—by inviting Him in right where you are.
Yet Psalm 66:18 warns, If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear. Don’t excuse sin in your life; get rid of it. It was inspiring to see
Jesus tells His followers in Mark 1:15 , “ Repent, and believe .” To repent means to change your thinking. Repentance happens when you turn from the things that you used to think and do in order to serve the living God.
The Apostle John assures us, “ Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him ” ( 1 John 3:21-22 ).
And Jesus gives us this wonderful promise in Matthew 5:6 , “ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. ” If you hunger and thirst for God, He will come to you, for His very name is Immanuel— “ God with us ” ( Matthew 1:23 ).
So, together, let’s pray for revival in our hearts and in every school and church. And may it continue unbroken until Christ returns! God bless you.
