UNTY// LIMITED EDITION REBIRTH COLLECTION Founded in 2012, UNTY believes in the concept of value. Fitted t-shirts made of 100% Egyptian cotton with trimmed edges, these gems come in limited amounts. With their first line, Rebirth Collection, they released 4 designs, 30 t-shirts each. Once these t-shirts are sold, these designs will be discontinued keeping the people who own them the rightful few. Each line will release a variety of designs that will follow this same concept. This brand focuses on each aspect of its public approach with its photographs, designs, advertisements, and text to translate an idiosyncratic voice and experience. T-shirts are drawn, cut, and made entirely in Egypt. We vow to create the most perfect fitted t-shirts with designs exclusive entirely to those who purchase them. Each design is offered in 4 sizes, small, medium, large and extra large, these are fitted crew neck t shirts with trimmed edges on the sleeves and bottom. Two designs (the one with the skull with the weeping eyes called: Isolated Dreamer, and the other with the two big eyes had head full of circles called: Pancreatic Words) cost 250 Pounds, the other two (The half face, half lines called: Mercenary Machines, and the other is the one with african looking face called: Jaar State of mind) cost 200 Pounds. The t shirts are to be washed with cold water and left to air dry due to the delicacy of the cotton to avoid shrinkage which is common with most cotton t shirts. facebook.com/UNTY.DCM unty-rebirth.tumblr.com

I always have a feeling that I don’t have enough clothes, I think I do, but it feels like a little. …….. Mona
If you think you have enough clothes, then you probably do. I suggest that you clean and tidy up your closet at least every season before buying any new clothes for that season. Divide your closet into grouped items so you are able to style up outfits easily. This organization procedure will help you find forgotten items that could still be wearable and on trend. The more you mix & match various garments, the more you’ll feel you have enough outfits..
I tried several times to wear prints, but I can’t. I’m a very classic person who admires classic solid colors, I know prints are very fashionable since last year and would love to have the guts to wear them, what do you think I should do? …….. Rasha
Being classic is great, you can never go wrong. Prints were always in, currently in and will continue. Begin with uncomplicated prints. You could start by adding simple accessorized touches of prints. Like a leopard or floral scarf with a whole black outfit. A colorful stripped or polka dotted bag and belt with a white and jeans combination. If you can do this, then you could move to the next step, printed tops. Last and hardest are printed bottoms. You go thru this, the fear is gone.
How colorful could men go in fashion? …….. Rami
As colorful as you wish. Today men’s fashion is almost the same as women’s fashion in trends and tones. As some women can and others can’t wear certain styles, it’s exactly the same with men. It’s a matter of personal nerves, cultural beliefs & your pashion level for fashion. Most men in the ME can go quiet colorful with ties and shirts. Also beaches, resorts and summer venues seem as an easier ambience to blow up their colorful instincts. So go ahead and express yourself as you wish.

FEATURES What was your first fashion related job like? I only ever worked for Azza Fahmy Jewellery. My desire to become a designer began more than 20 years ago, ever-since my sister and I would shadow my mother in her workshop during summers. After finishing my BA in jewellery design at the University of Central England, UK, I joined Azza Fahmy Jewellery in 2005. For the first 3 years, my job was to purely understand everything there is to know about the business, while designing a few pieces across several collections, until I successfully launched my very first Azza Fahmy collection in 2008.
What does Jewellery-design mean to you? And do you have any other passions? Jewellery is everything to me; it’s what I dream about day and night, while watching a movie or while being in nature! I also have a passion for art and nature, so anything involving the outdoors, you can count me in!
Do you have any personal principles you follow when you are designing? When it comes to designing, I don’t have any particular set of rules; the creative process can take any course, whenever I feel inspired, I just go with it.
What part of your job do you like best? And which part do you like the least?
INTERVIEW//
AMINA GHALI

She studied Contemporary Jewellery at Italy’s Alchimia School, followed by a BA in Jewellery Design and Silversmith at the University of Central England (Birmingham). Amina joined Azza Fahmy in 2005 and initially worked behind the scenes. She started designing her own collections for the brand in 2008.

The research and innovation that goes into the designing process is by far my favorite. We face a lot of challenges while doing our prototypes but at the end all the challenges are worthwhile the excitement of launching our collections.
What was the inspiration behind your latest collection? For our latest Mother’s Day Collection, we wanted to create special pieces that can give many of us the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to our mothers and celebrate their love. Inspired by the timeless pearl trend, the pieces from this Mother’s Day Collection are a perfect match for a woman that is fashionably bold yet charmingly classic, designed to appeal to mothers whatever their age.
Where can our readers find the collection? The Mother’s Collection will be available worldwide via our Online Boutique at www.azzafahmy.com by March 7th. You can also check it out at our Azza Fahmy Boutiques in Cairo.
Are there any upcoming projects you would like to share with our reader? Yes, so many things in the pipeline for Azza Fahmy this year! On a global scale, expect many amazing new collections soon, including
