ASSOCIATES’ COMMITTEE BY ABBY WINKLER
The Associates’ Committee has been hard at work to bring exciting events to the club calendar! Our first event of the year was the incredible Titanic Belmont Benefit in April, which was an overwhelming success. Later that month, we hosted our Spring Wine Tasting, which featured new additions to the Monroe Station wine list, and delicious hors d’oeuvres. Both the wine and the food were thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance! Summertime Chi came right on time for our first Associates’ Raft Up in June where we had a blast cheering on the USA SailGP team at Navy Pier. If you missed out on that one, be sure to mark your calendars for the next Associate’s Raft Up in August. It’s hard to have a bad day on the water, so we hope you’ll join us! Later on in the year, we have several events planned and we hope you’ll join us. September holds the Big Kahuna, a great party at Belmont with delicious food and frosty beverages for all to enjoy. Following that is
the Oktoberfest party with German beer and live music. Finally, be sure to dig out your most outrageous holiday outfits for the Tacky Sweater Party in December. These are events you don’t want to miss! If you’re looking to get involved in any of these upcoming events, or if you’re a new member and are looking for a way to meet more people, the Associates’ Committee meetings are posted on the club calendar and are open to any and all members who want to join.
