PROBLEM STATMENT The current public bicycle system is designed for individual and adult. Besides tourism in Tainan is bloom in recent years, but the transportation is relatively limited. We aim at creating family public bicycle system, which can provide safe and nice experience to the family traveler in Tainan.

SEQUENCE MODLE
We interview the people who have the experience of using YouBike in Taipei. Asking them to recall the most memorable or recent experience and taking note step by step.

CONSOLIDATED SEQUENCE MODEL
Breakdown -Users should check everything including the brake, the seat, the indicator light, the lock and key, the pressure of tires ‌etc. before they ride but seldom of them do the whole check. -Users would like to see the map on their smartphone while they are riding. -When users ride with partners on the road, they have to make sure that each others are following up. -Users may find some problems from the bike while riding which is dangerous -Users feel hard to insert the bike lock plate into the dock lock slot User requirement/ need -Users need to take the check thing more seriously. -Users need a hanger for their smartphone. -Users need a GPS to track their partners. -The equipment should be safer. -The dock lock slot should be easier to insert the bike.

PHYSICAL MODEL AND USER NEEDS/ REQUIREMENTS
BREAKDOWN -Too many people line up for registering -People would like to choose the bike near the station
USER REQUIREMENT/ NEED -The user interface needs to be more understandable, making the people who using it for the first time (Only the people who didn’t use the YouBike before need to register) can register more quickly. - The amount of YouBike needs to be arranged more near the station, and lesser far from station.

USER REQUIREMENT
-It’s not easy to aim the bike lock plate at dock lock slot, and users need to try several times -If there’s no unoccupied dock lock slot, users need to spend more time to find the slot on other station.
-Some method to help them to aim the bike lock plate. -A device easier to use -Some information to find the available dock lock slot. -More efficient system to transport these YouBike.

USER REQUIREMENT
-It’s so tall that children can’t touch it and use with their parents. -The sensitivity of touch panel is low. -It doesn’t provide the map for users. -Not everyone has credit card. -Users must put Easycard on the sensor zone vertically, and it looks unstable.

BREAKDOWN -There is no enough place to put things, especially when there is no back luggage carrier. -Even the lowest height is still too tall for small kids. -Need to be adjusting almost every time to ride. -The key is too easy to lost. -Things in the basket are easy to be forgotten to take out. -There is no place to inflate the tire.

USER REQUIREMENT -They needs more spaces to put their things. -The range of adjusting the seat height should be bigger. -A more convenient way to lock the bike. -A alarm system or design to notice them to take their belongings. -A place to inflate the tire for riders to do it themselves.

DEFINITION It is a local apotropaion in Tainan, An-pin.

ORIGIN Because of the land which can built the house is very narrow makes the Feng Shui of the An-pin house bad. The resident put the sword lion on the door of their house try to expel the evil spirit away from them and also pry for blessing

PEOPLE INVOLVED The residents, architect, priest, artificer
VALUE HONOR Started from the era of Kingdom of Tungning, the solider use the shield which has the lion pattern on it to symbolize courage and powerful. After they winning the war, the resident in An-Ping honor that great general to put the sword lion on the door of their house.
PROTECTION Be used as apotropaion. Drive off the bad evil from the house. Because of the rough situation of the early Taiwan immigrants, they seek for something reliable. This is a psychological need to find a balance between natural and supernatural.
IDENTITY The sword lion is different varied from house to house. They even used to be the doorplate in the past.

CONTEXT BEHAVIOR
RITES/RITUALS
1. Soldiers of Han used to put their sword inside the lions mouth in front of their house after the training. Meaning: The thieves would know that there were soldiers in that house, so they won't break into there. 2. In order to avoid the bad Feng Shui, people lived An- Pin put a sword lion on their door. Me a n i n g : s p i r i t u a l a p o t ro p a i o n ; doorplate
There was a locating ceremony when a sword-lion was to be placed. 1. The day should be chosen carefully. It should be a proper day and time to hold the ceremony. "We can tell that Chinese people are really respectful to the lunar calendar and they believe that every day has it's own meaning. Everything should be done following the rules of the lunar calendar. " 2. Before hanging the sword-lion, there was a open-eyed ceremony held by a priest to make the sword-lion a real protector and it could be more powerful. "Priests took an important part in people's life in the past. And people believed that through the ceremony the sword-lion could be given some magical power and be protective." "From the ceremony, we can tell that people took the sword-lion as a very serious thing."
NORM 1. A sword-lion should be put on the door header in front of the alter. “Setting the sword-lion on a obvious place is to protect the family and prey for good luck.” 2. When setting the sword-lion, it’s forbidden to hit the drive on the face of the sword-lion and it should be set straightly. “If the sword-lion is askew or damaged, the family who own the sword-lion will get bad luck.” 3. Generally, the rich use purple or red to decorate the sword-lion, and the ordinary use blue or black. “Back in time, it was normal to mark people by their financial condition. We could easily tell the financial condition of a family from the sword-lion they hung on the door."

SYMBOLS/ OBJECTS 1. THE HEAD OF LION It's a item of exorcising in ancient Chinese culture. And different color means the different status of the family. (1) Devices on the navy shields: a. Violet→general b. Red→secondary general c. Green→intermediate soldier d. Blank→lower stage soldier (2) Sword-lion in houses: a. Red: rich family b. Green, blank: usual civilian
2. THE FORELIMB OF LION Adding the image of forelimbs make lion looks more powerful. The whole drawing is like a gesture that a lion was squatting and waiting for catching its preys.
3. SEVEN STAR SWORDS Seven star swords is the top one of five treasure of repelling evil spirits in Chinese culture, so biting seven star sword can strength lion's power. There are three types of the sword's setting in the lion's mouth: (1) The handle of sword on the right: cleansing evil spirits. (2) The handle of sword on the left: pray for blessings.
4. EIGHT TRIGRAMS DRAWING OF TAI CHI The drawing of Eight Trigrams and Tai Chi has a function of turning bad luck into good fortune in the Taoism of custom. It's always to be used in the Feng- Shui of architecture.
5. BAT Bat has the similar pronunciation with good fortune in Chinese. So people think bats are the lucky animals. The drawing of couple of bat around Sword Lion means couple of good fortune coming.
6. QILIN A mythical creature in East Asian cultures, it's a good omen thought to occasion prosperity or serenity.
7. PRAYER FAG, SPIKY BALL, MAHOGANY SWORD Other objects of repelling evil spirits.
