EL NUEVO PROYECTO CREATIVO LANZADO POR MANNY IRIARTE
Manny lriarte está lanzando un nuevo proyecto creativo llamado Fuente The Opus X Society, que es una línea de productos accesorios de lujo con marcas registradas con licencia del fabricante de puros premium reconocido internacionalmente, Arturo Fuente. El objetivo es elevar el mercado de accesorios de lujo mediante el uso de reconocidas marcas de Arturo Fuente, como OpusX y Don Carlos, que muestran el legado de 109 años de Arturo Fuente de suprema calidad y consistencia. Tras 2 años de trabajo, Manny lriarte presentará la línea inicial de estos accesorios de
lujo limitados en la feria anual de la Premium Cigar Association (PCA) que tendrá lugar en julio de 2021, en Las Vegas, Nevada, EEUU. La colección de líneas privadas está encabezada por las colecciones “El Rojo” y “El Azul”, que toman su significado de los colores utilizados en el rojo tradicional Fuente Fuente
Opus X y en el azul Fuente Fuente Opus X 20 Aniversario. Estas colecciones incluyen humidores, ceniceros, encendedores, tazas de café, junto con una colección de vasos de cristal del Reino Unido de vasos de whisky Glencairn y vasos tradicionales de roca tallados en arena en Pensilvania, EE. UU. También se presentarán estuches de
cigarros de fibra de carbono y bolsos de lona de cuero italiano. Además, tres colecciones muy especiales de artículos turísticos cada una: un humidor, un cenicero, un encendedor y un cortador. Cada colección rendirá homenaje a una marca diferente de Arturo Fuente: Don Carlos, Arturo Fuente Grand Reserva y el mítico Arturo Fuente Hemingway.

Parte del grupo que visitó la finca de tabaco en San Víctor, en Moca // Part of the group that visited Procesadora de Tabaco San Víctor field Con la intención de adquirir mayor conocimiento de los inicios y procesos detrás de un cigarro, Isis Lawrence organizó un viaje campestre a la finca de Procesadora de Tabaco San Víctor, en Moca, para un selecto grupo de aficionados. El guía del recorrido fue el Sr. Tejada, de Procesadora de Tabaco San Víctor, quien instruyó al grupo sobre los procesos durante la siembra, cosecha y curado que se realizan en su finca. Tras finalizar el recorrido en el campo, nos trasladamos a la zona de procesamiento de tabaco, lugar donde se realizó una rifa de cajas de cigarro y se obsequiaron artículos promocionales de los patrocinadores, para luego finalizar la visita con un almuerzo en Santiago.

With the intention of acquiring more knowledge of the origins and processes behind a cigar, Isis Lawrence organized a country trip to Procesadora de Tabaco San Víctor tobacco field, in Moca, for a select group of fans.

Mr. Tejada, from Procesadora de Tabaco San Víctor, was the tour guide who instructed the group about the processes during planting, harvesting and curing that are carried out on his farm. After finishing the tour to the tobacco field, we moved to the tobacco processing area, where a raffle of cigar boxes was held and promotional items from the sponsors were given away, and then ended the visit with a lunch in Santiago.

Ejecutivos, técnicos tabacaleros, colaboradores y personal del Instituto del Tabaco de la República Dominicana (INTABACO), participaron de la celebración de una misa en las instalaciones de la Estación Experimental de Quinigua, como muestra de agradecimiento por motivo de conmemorarse el quincuagésimo noveno aniversario de su fundación, creado mediante la Ley Nº 5961 del 15 de junio de 1962, como una entidad autónoma y con personalidad jurídica propia.
El acto estuvo encabezado por su director ejecutivo, Rafael -Fello- Almonte, y el subdirector ejecutivo, Radhamés Díaz, durante el cual, el director ejecutivo, agradeció a los fundadores del Instituto, así como a los técnicos, obreros, colaboradores y a todo el personal por el trabajo en equipo, y los exhortó a que sigan trabajando para que la gente del campo vuelva a vivir del tabaco; agradeció al presidente Luis Abinader, por incluir el tabaco en sus proyectos presidenciales y por impulsar el relanzamiento a la industria. También agradeció a los miembros
del Consejo Ejecutivo, especialmente a Limber Cruz, ministro de Agricultura y a Hendrick Kelner, presidente de PROCIGAR. Los ejecutivos del INTABACO depositaron una ofrenda floral en la tarja que honra a los pioneros del tabaco: Arsenio Pérez, Luis Carballo, Armando Villar, Napoleón Padilla, Ángel Pérez, Narciso Sánchez, Emilio Silva, Prisciliano Méndez, José Carmona, Raúl Medina, José Rodríguez, Saturnino Pérez, Justo García, Sigfrido Pérez. La sede del INTABACO fue establecida originalmente
en Santo Domingo, pero dos meses más tarde, mediante la Ley Nº 5998 de fecha 2 de agosto de 1962, se dispuso el traslado a Santiago, centro de la actividad tabacalera del país, asignándole la antigua Mansión de Trujillo, situada en la Ave. Franco Bidó No. 69, hoy Ave. Juan Pablo Duarte. En 1991 la sede del INTABACO fue trasladada a una nueva edificación construida en terrenos de la Estación Experimental QUIN DÍAZ de Quinigua, Villa González, donde actualmente permanecen sus oficinas técnicas y administrativas.

Executives, tobacco technicians, collaborators and staff of the Tobacco Institute of the Dominican Republic (INTABACO), participated in religious celebration at Quinigua Experimental Station facilities, as a token of appreciation for the commemoration of the fifty-ninth anniversary of its foundation, created by Law No. 5961 of June 15, 1962, as an autonomous entity with its own legal personality. The event was led by its executive director, Rafael -Fello- Almonte, and the
deputy executive director, Radhamés Díaz, during which the executive director thanked the founders of the Institute, as well as the technicians, workers, collaborators and the entire staff for teamwork, and he exhorted them to continue working so that rural people can live off tobacco again. He thanked President Luis Abinader for including tobacco in his presidential projects and for promoting the industry relaunch. He also thanked the members of the Executive Council, especially Limber Cruz, Minister of
Agriculture and Hendrick Kelner, PROCIGAR President.
