This course is a progression option for students who have completed the Level 2 Professional Cookery course or equivalent. You will develop advanced technical skills and professional knowledge, learning how to prepare, cook and finish complex fish, meat, poultry and vegetables dishes, and how to prepare, cook and finish hot and cold sauces and desserts.

This apprenticeship is for students who are working in a hospitality setting such as a hotel, restaurant, hospital or pub, preparing and cooking food for customers. You will learn a variety of skills from your employer and your college trainer to gain your qualification. This course is for students pursuing a career in the food and beverage/ front of house sector. You will learn topics including food safety, food and beverage legislation, serving and supervising the service of food, alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic beverages, preparing and cooking food, and supervising hospitality events.
Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship is for students aspiring to a career as a chef in a fine dining setting. The commis chef prepares food and carries out basic cooking tasks under the supervision of a more senior chef, to learn and understand how to carry out functions in every section of the kitchen.
Students on our Commis Chef apprenticeship benefit from our partnership with The School of Food, attending a range of masterclasses from visiting chefs and cooking in different settings, including at a range of events.
Hospitality Team Member Level 2 Apprenticeship
