You will learn important childcare topics such as safeguarding, health and wellbeing, reflective practice and supporting children with additional needs. You will also carry out a longitudinal study, in which you will learn how to observe, assess and plan for the needs of children.

This course covers a range of practical skills needed for employment as a mechanic or vehicle technician. You will learn health and safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment, routine light vehicle maintenance, light vehicle chassis systems and light vehicles engines. This course is tailored to the needs of heavy vehicles. You will learn a wide range of aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance, including identifying service needs, removing and replacing components and fuel, ignition, air and exhaust system units and components.
