How to apply Our commitment to sustainability

It’s easy to apply to City of Bristol College. There’s no deadline for applications, but courses do fill up so we recommend getting your application in as soon as possible.

Explore your options

Talk to your teachers and family about your options. Our School Liaison team regularly visit local schools to tell you more about the College, so you can ask them your questions, too.

Our Student Services team are here to help you make an informed decision about what to study after your GCSEs. You can also make an appointment with our Careers team. Students aged 16-18 are guaranteed a place with us, subject to you meeting the entry requirements. Should your GCSE results not be what you hoped for, we will discuss your options and help you to still get where you want to be.

You can also use our online Career Coach to see which careers and courses might suit you:

Attend an Open Event

Open Events are your chance to come to college, meet staff and current students and see our facilities for yourself. You can get advice on courses and extra information like financial support. You can apply for our courses online, or contact us if you would prefer a paper application form. If you can’t decide what to study just yet, you can apply for multiple courses, then make your final decision when it’s time to enrol.

For many courses you will be invited to attend a course meeting. This is an informal discussion about your choices to ensure the course you’ve chosen is right for you. With that in mind, this prospectus has been produced using a Carbon Balanced Printing scheme. The scheme measures the environmental impact of producing the printed material, then offsets that impact in partnership with the World Land Trust, who use the donation to protect threatened habitats which would otherwise have been lost and avoid the release of stored carbon.

We know that we must all take action where we can to reduce the impact we have on our environment, and to respond to Bristol City Council’s declaration of a climate emergency. The College’s strategic aims include a pledge to emphasise sustainability in our curriculum and work towards carbon neutrality.
