Route DD Improvements Project

The City of O’Fallon continues to grow and expand, especially in the Southwestern portion of the City. As such, Route DD near the I-64/Winghaven overpass is experiencing a larger amount of traffic in recent years. Coupled with the Streets of Caledonia Project, this area is set to experience significant growth in the coming years. Thus, the City of O’Fallon in cooperation with MoDOT, St. Charles County Road Board, and a Developer has undertaken a project to make several improvements to Highway DD in this area to account for future expansion and traffic loading. This project includes widening Highway DD for ease of travel, adding a full traffic signalized intersection at the Caledonia Parkway intersection and the construction and addition of a roundabout at the intersection of Dalriada Blvd. These improvements should allow for traffic to navigate this area quicker and safer as the area continues to develop. This project was completed in 2022.
