Laura Drive Stormwater Improvements Project

This project was constructed in 2022 and aimed to improve downstream flooding along Laura Drive and improve the storm sewer system’s overall flood resiliency. The project installed 608 linear feet of storm sewer pipe ranging in size from 36-48”. The City obtained funding assistance from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for design and construction of this project.

Detention Basin Clean Out Projects

The City undertakes detention basin clean out projects when necessary to ensure detention basins are kept in compliance with the City’s stormwater requirements. In 2022, detention basins located at the Bluffs at Dames Park and Piney Creek Subdivisions were cleared to restore their functionality. The detention basin clean out projects are completed then billed to the homeowners or HOA’s.
